Hi all,My keyboard was working just fine on FS9 until later yesterday. For some reason, I can cycle views using 'S', but pressing 'Shift + S' to cycle backwards doesn't work. In fact, all controls on the keyboard seem to have been disengaged (can't change views, can't pushback, etc) except for the "Alt" and 'S'. Alt will open the tabs on the top of the screen, but that's it. "Ctrl + C" to exit the sim doesn't work. I haven't done anything to my sim in the last 24 hours, so I'm wondering if something else is at play here.. Keep in mind that I'm using this keyboard to type, so I can't imagine that something is wrong with the keyboard itself. Any help is appreciated!G…

How does one go about changing ALL of your AI aircraft's textures to mipmaps in one shot. I think that this has been disclosed before but I don't remember how to do it. I would like to write a batch file, (or something), to do this and not have to change the textures on each AI aircraft individually. So please advise and thanks!Mark

I recently had a total hard drive crash. I've put in a new drive and reloaded FS9. I have a backup on a large external hard drive that has a bacup of Flightsim. I can see individual folders for aircraft, etc. Should'nt I be able copy all of my guages and aircraft folders to the new installation? I'm thinking maybe with the scenery also? I thought I would ask to see if anyone else has done this. Thanks in advance.

I have tested wind shear in flight simulator numerous times and every time when I enter into decreasing wind areas my airspeed descreases accordingly. The reason I started this topic is because others were getting slightly upset with me in a 'discussion' (or what I thought was a discussion) since I claim windshear can be simulated in FS, which it can.So I started this topic to have a non-personal discussion about windshear. Is there a program that will spit out a list of all textures and what type it is in any folder and it's sub-folders? I'd like to get a list of every texture in that folder/sub-folders and what type of texture it is, (DXT3, DXT1, etc), so I can use it to create a conversion batch file. Hi , After several years using xp as my os I have recently moved to windows7 32bit and I am in the process of reinstalling all my addons.My all time favourite aircraft addon for FS9 is wilco pic 737, however I have been reading conflicting reports that it is not compatable with windows7 :( only the FSX version is compatable. I am not willing to migrate to FSX until I have a better system. Can anyone shed light on this as I would need to purchase a new download of pic 737 for FS9 as I have lost my serial number Thanks

Hi folks. I've decid to deal with a problem that I have.I fly the PMDG/POSKY B737NG merge 95% of my sim time. However, I do have an issue with the B736 version.The problem is simple: The aircraft responds extremely slowly to aileron input. elevator input is also quite slow, but ground steering works OK.If I have a look at the exterior model, the animation of the control surfaces respond quickly as normal, but the plane itself does not move fast enough.also worth noting: whenever I try to turn left, the spoiler sound starts (when the controls are hard left). But only when turning left.any ideas or help on this one?Kind regards,Johan

Using Microsoft Flight Simulator 2004 with CH pedals and yoke for several years. A few days ago started having engine RPM problems on the Cessna 172. Can't get the engine RPM over about 2150. Same problem if I use key board or yoke. Have downloaded updates, removed and reloaded software but no luck. Any ideas? Thanks

Dear colleagues, Could you teach me the method of displaying the flight number on the aircraft in FS9? I know we can show that information on the FSX when using FSX-SDK. If some tools can do that, it would be greatly appreciated by me when the name of the tool can be taught. Thank you!

In my Aero Commander 500 (by Martin Shupe - ac500vc1), there apparently is no gear warning horn in the model. The settings in aircraft.cfg/gear_warning_system are correct (and I've tried tweaking them with other settings, too), but the warning never activates. Is there a way to add this feature, other than modifying the model?Many thanks!

My TrafficInfo.DLL has suddenly gone missing. I don't why, I've not been fiddling with anything. It only becomes apparent when I load up the PMDG MD11. I also cannot find this DLL on my FS9 Discs. Has anyone got any ideas?RegardsSteve H

HI:I'm running FS9 with XP. Lately I've noticed that the image on the monitor (in 2D panel mode) will freeze briefly before being released to move again. This is evident on turns and on approach, take off.I've never had this issue before and was wondering if anyone knows what the problem is......Could it be video card related?The only think I've changed is my monitor. I was running a 19 inch screen which I upgraded to a 24 inch screen.Could it be the screen resolution?The resolution is set to default.Thanks, Iain

Usually, if I have this problem I can fix it by opening the relevant AFCAD in AFCAD2 and, after selecting to make Navaids visible, dragging the green triangles so that the localizer is in the centre of the PDF LOC scale when the a/c is on the centre-line of the runway.In this instance though (3rd. party OMDB), that hasn't worked. Rather than use the navaid information in the OMDB AFCAD that comes with the scenery, the navaid information in the default file (AP962230.BGL) is being used. If I remove AP962230.BGL then all is well (but I assume this is not a good idea!! Especially as the file contains information for other airports!). So I tried editing the AP962230.BGL f…

I have posted about this before - but some time ago, and the problem is still there. I don't know if anyone can help me solve it. The problem is that outside of two folders I use for scenery, AFCAD2 does not find a whole load of airports that are located in other folders. The two folders it does see are 1. "FS9/Addon Scenery" - which I reserve for single AFCAD files not present anywhere else and 2. "FS9/Addon Scenery 2" - a folder I use for all my addon scenery from AVSIM and so on (stands at almost 50GBs, 650,000 files now!). But airports in folders like FS9/Aerosoft, FS9/UK2000 and so on - AFCAD2 ignores these. When I used Windows XP things were OK, but not in Windows 7…

For those of you that have flown the PMDG 737 and now fly the IFLY 737, was there much difference in learning the flying characteristics and procedures when switching over to IFLY? I just purchased the IFLY after a few years with the PMDG. I realize that there are more systems simulated with the IFLY. So what was the most diffulcult to adjust to?I really don't relish studing the 500+ page manual if much of it is similar to PMDG, which I think, should be the case.I appreciate your input, and thank you.Jim D.

I'm using REX Weather Engine with FSUIPC registered version and already checked the option "smooth wind change near aircraft" (or something like that, and all numbers are default by FSUIPC) but still when the wind change, my aircraft's nose shakes (turn) heavily to left or right and the speed+altitude jumping up and down :( And usually put me in overspeed situation or speed drop dramatically . But then it sorted out slowly and fly nicely.....until the next time the wind change.Btw,sometimes when I'm on final about 50 feet from ground the wind suddenly changes and my aircraft was pushed up which made me go around . Hey guys, I have a little issue with the PSS777 and the 757. I run through the normal procedures for both of the planes and somehow I can't connect to the clearance..it's like my radios don't work and my exterior lights don't work either..I can turn the knob on the radio stack but the frequencies don't change..I've been trying to figure this problem out but I'm drawing a blank..oh and once I start the engines and hit Ctrl+E like I would be starting the engines the easy way, then everything turns on; lights and radios work..Any help would be much appreciated, thank you Jason

This is an interesting question, (at least I think it is). I've been trying a number of free water textures the last few days and didn't like any of them. So I've tried to revert back to the original water textures and can't seem to. I think I've compiled a comprehensive list of all the water textures that FS9 uses and have replaced them with the original and default FS9 versions and still the water doesn't look anything like it did when I did a fresh install last week.Now for the interesting part.
