I just bought a new computer that runs windows 7 64 bit with a widescreen monitor. With this widescreen, my view from inside the cockpit is now more limited. The peripheral view seems the same but vertically is a problem. All the scenery seems stretched horizontaly while limiting my view vertically. I've tried full screen mode and that seems to work a little better. I was hoping there'd be another option available to take advantage of the wider screen. Thanks in advance for any help. Even though the party is not quite over with WOAI there have been no real additions made to it's library in some time. This is especially painful for some of us seeing Northwest/Delta, United/Continental, and now Southwest/Airtran are realities (with 737-800s on the way for Southwest). The dust has shaken out of Northwest/Delta meaning all planes are painted with the new scheme and routes merged. The easiest way to reflect this in FS9 in past years was a wonderful easy to use add-on called WOAI. The updates for this utility was almost daily. I first got into flight simming with the release of MSFS 2004.As a 15 year old, it was amazing. I'd saved my pocket money/"allowance" for our American friends :( and rushed out to buy it as soon as I had enough money.My idea of customising my sim environment was downloading a new livery from the AVSIM library and taking off from my local airport, doing a couple of loops and flying in to land again. Can anyone help please? I am trying to install Project Canarias 2006 and have followed the installation instructions to the letter. The problem occurs when the installation screen opens, I get the message "Invalid Registry Key" which is detailed in the notes and says that you should select the FS9 root folder manually. This I do using the normal browse box that opens and select porgramme files, microsoft games and then highlight the FS9 folder. I then click OK and get "file not found" message. Hi everybody!I've just bought the Leonardo Maddog Md82 2010pro and i must say, what a fantastic plane and model! But i have a little issue with the generators...I have followed several clips on y-tube to learn how to get the bird flying from C/D. I'm also using a VA's checklist. Even though i'm following the procedures of the clips and the checklists, the generators doesn't take over when the engines are started... I get the message "L&R Generators Off" after engine startup. The only generator switches i can find is on the upper right of the fwd overhead, but they are on... In the electrics part of the ops manual, they are showing exactly the same switches for the gen…

HI allIt has been a while since i posted in the fs9 forum as i went back to fs9 and im enjoying flying some of my older 3rd part aircraft againI had to fix the shimmering and "nicks" recommendations worked by reducing the mips to 4. (thanks)I am running nhancer and have AA an AF set to max , ( ive tried a whole bunch of settings) res 1920x1200 x32 but my runways , buildings and panel still have jaggies. just cant seem to get rid of them, shimmering and blurries are all fixed.The jaggies are very distracting.It just changes the smooth nature of the sim. ( frame rates are no issue)So any thoughts will be helpful.Im not really going to chase this too much but if there is…

Hello CaptainsFor those who do not know, I've been working on a texture upgrade for Scansim´s payware scenery EKCH. I have taken SWEDFLIGHT´s high res textures from the good but old EKCH and edited them so that they fit in the Scansim EKCH. And now we have the ultimate Copenhagen Kastrup scenery with high res textures, no fps impact and with full AES support . The texture update is now available HERE Screens:Screen 1Screen 2Screen 3Ps. This update have been done with both Scansim´s and SWEDFLIGHT´s permission.CheersNiclas

Hi.I was on the verge of buying Scotflight's airports for FS9 & found the link to where the purchase can be made (Visual Flight) is broken. It's a real shame as Scotflight were using Visual Flight's installerI mailed the developer but he was unaware of the death of Visual Flight until I brought it to his attention. He hopes to re-release for FS9 with his own installer, but has no date.Does anyone know what happened to Visual Flight?And... does anyone know of any other good set of Scottish airports, in case Scotflight don't re-release for a long while?Cheers,D

I recently discovered that there are some missing callsigns in WOAI and PAI. I made some of them on EditVoicepack, but I've got a lot of airlines with missing callsigns so it takes a while. I was wondering if someone knows if some of those callsigns are available for download, so I can put them straight into FS2004. Thanks.

Anyone know how to stop the preset views from changing during a flight?I find I have to resave views during the flight because the eyepoint has shifted a little at some point during the flight.I can't find an english manual out there either.Cheers, Greg

Hi AllLike many people who haven't been simming all that long, I've been content for a while to just do what I do, which is create a flightplan in FS9, have ATC direct me on heading and altitude, before doing an ILS approach at my destination.Until recently this has served me very well. I know what I'm doing and complete each flight without any hiccups.BUT I'm looking to take it to the next level now in terms of realism, and that involves getting to know the FMC. Last week I installed Aerosoft's German Airports 1 and 3 and not knowing where all of these places were, I made a map. There is probably one around somewhere but I dont know where it is. (I dont have Hamburg installed yet and I forgot to inclue it. jerrycwo4

Does anyone who uses Ken Mitchell's panel for the L1011 know why the cockpit annunciator (warnings) always shows errors for 'Hyd Press' and the four fuel tanks - 1, 2A, 2B, 3 ... These seven indicators remain lit up in red, no matter what I do. The Hydraulic Systems needles on the Flight Engineer's panel are 'dead' too. If this is a bug, is there a fix? Im in search of a program that for the life of me cant remember what its called. It was a "business" type add-on for flight sim, Not fspassengers but it was released after fspax. Hi guys, have a headache over this one.Ok, so i've been all over the forum here trying to find an answer to tweaking the AI cruise speed of any given plane (using the CFG and AIR files)...I've found some tips but nothing seems to work for me.I'm not a "noob" when it comes to the .cfg and .air files, by any means, i've been tweaking around for awile now. It's just now i've gotten around to modding the cruise speed, i've hit a wall (the answer's probably staring me in the face somewhere).I'm trying to set the correct cruise speed for an A320-200 at 0.78 mach (270 KIAS, 35000 ft), but it's sticking and hovering at 238 KIAS at 35000 ft...Here's what i'm doing :I've set and sa…

I have a problem that has cropped up from time to time and the only way i can fix the problem is by reinstalling Windows. Everything is running fine and then one day I open FS and nothing happens. I open the task manager to see what processes are running and it says FS9.exe and a rundll32.exe which is eating up 100 percent CPU. Rundll32.exe never use to run before when all was fine. But now I open up FS9 and if i click on it again another instance of FS9.exe is there and rundll32.exe with CPU at 100 percent. Strange. I do a complete clean reinstall of FS and still the same. Only way to get the CPU down to normal is by ending the rundll32 process. I reinstall windows and a…

Not sure what happened to my original post, it appears to have been lost in the shuffle.Here's my question. I'm trying to setup the C172 Com/Nav 2 to have glide slope capability coupled to an OBS indicator identical to the Com/Nav 1 OBS. I have set the radios in aircraft.cfg to enable GS and now the challenge is to find a compatible gauge for VOR2. I have found an appropriate gauge in XML format and would like to modify it to work with Nav 2 if possible. My 172 had this dual nav/gs capability and I'm trying to reproduce the panel.Also does anyone know if there is a two channel area nav instrument available.Any help in accomplishing this would be appreciated.Dave

Good evening all,I bought the FSXFollow app for my iPhone today then downloaded the PC client from the fsxfollow website. It says that it can be used in FS9 through FSUIPC but does not go into specifics. Does anyone know how it is setup? It works fine with FSX.Thanks,Kevin

I just discovered this gauges a couple days ago, and I wanted to see if anyone had panel.cfg's incorporating these gauges in the POSKY 757, 738 or 737c (all have VCs). They're quite nice and smooth and I just thought it would be a worthwhile mod to have ported/merged them into other VC'ed aircraft. Thanks in advance for your panel.cfg's or suggestions. So far I've gotten one to work in the 757, but the main MFD (horizontal indicator/altitude/airspeed) does not show up.
