Install FS2004 on Ubuntu 20.04 - it works! Here's how to do it. Like many people, I've tried to yank myself off Windows and have been successfully using Ubuntu Linux for over 11 years. The one program that refused to transfer was my flight simulator.....until today! I've tried several times without success and gave up until I was tempted by the new MSFS simulator. However, needing a new PC put me off, and I’m not too bothered about the eye-candy, preferring to navigate at night or in clouds/fog. Anyone know how to get access to the discontinued Mega Airports by Aerosoft for fs2004? It looks like there are some great ones like Madrid, Lisbon, Barcelona, etc they I can’t seem to find for sale anywhere. Would be great to do some flights to these destinations!

Hi team, Asking in a few places to see if anyone can help with the problem im having. Purchased a new computer recently and upgraded to Windows 10, transferred FS9 across and my FS9 ATC is intermittenly calling AI airlines by their callsigns. It happens with stock callsigns from EVP and one's downloaded and created. They will always say the flight number It will occasionally say Brunei 636, but quite often just 636, then maybe the 'pilot' will answer ATC as Brunei 636. Ive read it may be to do with AIG Manager but I dont have it installed, i have downloaded a number of AIG Voice files but the issues are more widespread than just those ones. Also read …

Hello, I am flying the Default Mooney in FS9 and when I turn on the “Prop DeIce” switch (I can do this by either pressing H on my keyboard or actually touching the switch on my touchscreen monitor), the Prop Deice light DOES NOT ILLUMINATE on the annunciator panel. Is there a fix for this by possibly modifying the Aircraft or Panel CFG file. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated in finding a solution to this slightly annoying problem. Is it me or has anyone else noticed that Erick Cantu’s 737-200 has a low nose while parked on the tarmac. Is this the way 737-200’s are supposed to sit while on the ground? The aircraft appears to be slanted downhill towards the nose gear. I don’t know if this is an error in the static pitch entry in the aircraft config file or what? I like Cantu’s aircraft but this leaning on the nose gear is frustrating. Hope someone responds with more info on this. PSS Dash 8

I am still using the Real Environment Extreme weather engine, to generate random weather for my FS2004 flights Since switching to Windows 10, I can`t seem to get the weather to get injected into FS2004 every time Sometimes it does work, but I don`t know why I have tried some compatability settings, but to no avail I hope someone uses REX too, and can help me to sort things out Thanks!

Hi I am a complete newbie to flight sims so apologies in advance for any naievity. I am running FS2004 under win 7 and have installed the nav trainer from Ike at coyote avionics. In my previous post I intimated that gauges were missing in fact all the gauges are there but the adf gauge doesnt appear to work. i have searched on the web and have been told that I have to tune in the nearest ADF beacon (the one I want to track) My problem is I cant get the radio stack to appear. Does anybody know how to do this while in Nav trainer. Thanks in advance,

Hi Does anybody know where I can get a copy of Nav trainer by Ike from coyote avionics, that will run in Win 7 I have a copy that runs fine in Win Xp(far too slow) The same version will load and run in win 7 but with missing gauges. Any help much appreciated

Hi all, After Merged the iFly744 panel with the Posky model, everything goes fine, except of the lights. NAV, STROBE and Beacon only work on the GROUND, at 100Ft aprox the lights come off... ANY IDEAS, HELP? THANKS

Hi All, I've search around here and elsewhere and can find plenty of Posts re. 'Duplication' of AFCADs and Textures/Files BUT I 've been unable to locate any info. on Duplicate Gauge (.gau) files appearing in the Gauges folder of FS9. I almost invariably use FS9 and have done for years - very good it it too:-) Lately (for a computer Numpty,) I've been getting rather daring; dipping into various files to see how it all goes together. Now, I noticed that there were a lot of Duplicate .gau files in my Gauges folder and began wondering if that might cause the odd 'glitch' I've had. I finally got FS9 to installed and working. My HP OMEN desktop can run it at 60 fps. I been using the play disk to start with no problems. Some of my 3rd party planes uploaded are working. Having trouble installing Just Flight airliners collection I have. ( 707;727; Pilot in command 737)

My second version of Innsbruck is now ready for download on the Library. the original version only included summer textures. this new version includes Full seasonal textures, Night textures, and Autogen for the entire covered area. just search Innsbruck Photoreal v2 and it will come up! Hi, I'm trying to locate a copy of Christoffer Petersen's sound pack for Erick Cantu's Embraer emb120 for FS9. I believe it used to be available at AVSIM but was possible lost in the great "hack" of several years ago. I was wondering if anyone still has a copy somewhere that they could share with me please? 🙁I completed the trip and decided to restart the trip, after reading how to remove the data log. The problem I have is the time of day the trips start, it started a 3:30 pm and five trips later it's at 5:30 pm in the dark. I thought leaving the program running and the plane parked for the night would advance the time to the next morning. It advanced to 6:30 pm, it's totally dark, and shut down. Question, how do I change the time on the trip. It's makes no sense, it's a VFR flight. Has someone had the same problem and fixed it? Please let me know how to change the time, thanks.

Hi. Flying an Airbus A380-800 of Perfect Flight & Marco Martini, when applying reverse thrust only surfaces of engines 2 and 3 work, surfaces of 1 and 4 do not. I'd be thankful if someone give me a tip to solve this or the solution. Regards.

I recently built a "retro" pc to play some of the games I remember from my childhood and its has been great for most games. I found FS2004 today and checked the sys reqs and was shocked to see that this build meets them. After installing and running the game on a mix of settings, I get 15-25 FPS at 1080p (which is probably part of the problem, maybe a huge part even...) but it runs fine with for example ultra high global scenery settings and everything else at low when flying, but on landing its chop city. I have no clue if my discs are 9.1, got them when I was 10 years old as a gift, so maybe an update could help. I remember having a similarly spec'd pc at the time that …

I recently installed couple of scenery mods, I installed 2-3 sceneries at once and didn't tested them at that time. I continued looking for some texture mods, to make my simulator a bit better looking and I installed that too. Now I don't know which caused this errors, I know I could install a new fresh clean fs9 but then I have to go all over again just when I set it to be good now 😕 Any fix solution to this ? After pressing OK, runways turn white, as well as buildings, trees.. it happens at every airport just half a minute after starting
