Yes, I'm still grinding away with my UKVFR installation ;) Every so often, for no apparent reason, I find an area of photographic scenery where my applied autogen just doesn't show, as if an 'exclude' was in place. So, my question is, is there a utility that will tell me EVERY scenery file that is active below my airplane, irrespective of whether it's main centre of interest is nearby or somewhere remote. I'm familiar with the concept of disabling sceneries 'till the fault disappears, then disabling each file in turn to isolate the problem, but with well over 10,000 bgl files to deal with it can take several hours to isolate and (hopefully) rectify what, at the …

Hello guys, Am installing FS2004 now. And I almost cry, I have so much memories of this simulator. And I thought to my self as a simmer since 2002/3 that I reinstall it and give it a go. I get so many great memories back and a very nostalgic feeling. Greetings!

Unfortunately, Captainsim no longer supports this bird, so I thought I would see if anyone here has had this experience and knows a solution. I have tried all of the suggestions on the Captsim forum and website with no good results. I also downloaded and tried to install fresh downloads. When I try to install this plane and/or the base Boeing 757-200, I enter my order numbers and then when I click to go to the next step, I get the following error message: "Error code #11. Hi everybody, I just came across a new problem on my FS2004. Flying from Amsterdam to Nice I noticed a coastline error at Lake Geneva. It seems like there is a straight cut right through the middle of the lake. Hi am running a home version of win 10 64 bit on my hp laptop ive installed fs9 no problem & have had just some minor issues not that bad but the other day i done a flight in the pmdg 737NG Glasgow to Dusseldorf my keyboard & mouse were running fine untill the end of the flight when i goes to end it i got a notification saying my mouse & keyboard will no longer work i just ignored it & sure it was true the sim loads up as normal but keyboard & mouse not working at all am lost because they work on everything else on my computer would appreciate anyones help pls

Hi all.I need your help. I'm attempting to add Bob Kellogg's excellent HUD display to my simulator. I've had success adding this gauge, and scaling the width & length. Where I'm failing is the ability to relocate it to the position I desire. I am able to move it up and down. But for the life of me, I cannot get this gauge to move laterally to the left.I am using a Matrox Triplehead2Go for my front (3) windows. The center is my primary, meaning it has FS9's menu etc.I have added many other HUD gauges, readily available here, and have had zero problems scaling them and positioning them as I see fit.But this guy will not budge to the left where I need it to go. I am doing some research into FS9 and I am currently looking at the undocumented simtime parameter found in the flight files (.FLT). What I am trying to establish that using the simulator in normally (i.e. not editing any prior .FLT files) is it possible for the FS9 flight simulator to create a zero value for this parameter. I have tried following a video to do this but was unable to get the simulator to create a simtime variable set to zero. Normally the simtime parameter is formatted something like this SimTime=8274.0048524631256 I want the simulator to make it SimTime=0. I made this request on Peter Dowson's Support Forum. Unfortunately, WideClient is no longer supported for FS9 (FS2004). The Dowson's were kind enough to reply anyway suggesting an incorrect IP address, or firewall prevention. The best and biggest advice was as always to Read the manual. So I decided to post this on Avsim to see if possibly anybody else had been down this road and had any other suggestions. Framerates have slowed down over time for me at high density locations in FSX and I have not yet searched for the cause yet. It's been a long time, so I thought I would install FS2004 again and take a peek. It flies beautifully anywhere. I realize scenery is nowher…

I need some advice please. I am running fs9 on windows 7. When I starts fs and picks a airplane and then pick a airport push ok the sims start loading and stops on weather. It states that fs has stopped running and will restart. I deleted Active Sky and most recent flight plans. I am at a loss. Flight sim was running fine previously. Someone asked about some of the blue sky sceneries for FS9 that they couldn't find, and I happen to have all of them (that I know of) on my hard drive. Hey everybody, another issue just came up to me: I am using UK2000's EGLC Scenery as well as VFL London VFR scenery. My aircraft keeps falling into the water as soon as I taxi somehwere near the edge (even on the taxiway). A google search revelaed the issue got fixed in the UK2000 forum, however the post I need doesn't seem to exist anymore. So there must be a solution to make the two sceneries compatible. Anybody who has a solution for this? As always - help is greatly appreciated. Happy flying - Pat 😃

Dear All, May I ask the learned FS2004 fliers who participate in this forum for some help fixing 2 problems that I've encountered recently. They are probably related, but I don't know. Firstly, in Europe (including the UK), the coastlines are jagged lines with 90 degree corners. This is also true for lakes, for example Lake Geneva. Secondly, if I want to fly in Europe, I cannot go straight from Meigs Field to the selected airport because the sim just hangs. Instead, I have to go via Asia (Hong Kong) and eastern Europe (for example Moscow) and then to my selected airport. I have no issues flying in the USA, which is where I tend to do most of my flyi…

Fellow flight simmers. The other day I found dxtfixerx 2.3 on Avsim. I downloaded it, ran it and was amazed that I could do a complete flight with no stutters. From start up, taxi, takeoff, flight, landing and taxi phases I did not notice one stutter. This program searches for missing alpha channels and fixes them when it does. It runs very quickly and lets you know that all your files are good. So glad I found this! I can enjoy fs9 even more now. Happy flying everyone!

Hello pilots! When you approach to an airport that has rainy weather there is no overcast but break clouds here and there with rain or snow! This is unreallistc, it should be overcast when you descent under clouds! The overcast sometimes appears only many minutes after you land, during taxing but it should appear when you go under the clouds and rain starts! Also many times when you take off with overcast, this overcast dissapears only a few seconds after take off before even reach the cloud's altitude! Is this a problem of my weather machine? Is this a problem of cloud textures? Is this a problem of FSUIPC? Any ideas please? I am using FSREALWX!

Flightsimmers.....years ago I purchased the PMDG B1900D for FS9. I have enjoyed this aircraft very much and still fly it. I was never able to purchase the B1900C model. Now, after searching the PMDG web page I find they have nothing for FS9 anymore. Is there anyone out there that could send me the “C” model of this aircraft. I am trying to repaint the 737Max8. unlike the FAIB airbus i juts finished where it had tails and pylons layers. i can not find the layer for that on this paint kit. so how do i paint the tail and engine with out losing the rudder lines or line on the engine where it comes apart when the revrse thrust is activated? if it requires a new layer how do i add the layer that is only the size of the tail or engine?

Hi, I'm having a strange problem with FS9 after I had to re-install Windows and am lost on what to try next. I have an Optiplex 7010 DT running a refurbed copy of Windows 10 Pro 64bit and the first time I installed FS9 it eventually worked perfectly after a few re-installs because Windows Defender was complaining. Eventually it would load normally and never crashed with addon aircraft. The hard drive it was installed on failed a few months ago so I've replaced it with an SSD and re-installed Windows 10 Pro using the Media Creation Tool on the Microsoft website to download it to USB and boot from that. I also took out the 3 x 2Gb sticks or RAM that came with th…
