Aerosoft Mega Airport Frankfurt V2.0

Featured Replies

Another excellent video, Ed.

The view angle from 5:27 on is just great! And the Autobahn signs at the ends are... lovely.

I've been "walking" around the scenery looking for a good vantage point for screenshots, that one nails it: Real Planespotter stuff!

Wish I were there to see that landing, too... woooooosh

Thank you very much guys!

You AI looks excellent WingZ!  :Applause:

You seem to have avoided a look onto the pushback vehicle...?

I feel sooooo much happier that I no longer care about the pushback vehicle.

It will no longer feature in my vids.

It appears that I was the only person who cared about the correct tug for my aircraft. :Nerd:

Quantas and Singapore A380! WOAI?
Yes WOAI base but I suspect with Mehlin Rainer A380 inserted. I know they were there before actual service entry.

Conversely, Frankfurt v1 hosted the USAFE cargo fleet: C-5/C-17, even a Starlifter.

Latterly A400 joined the cargo apron. They are such good models I may continue a (partially) retro ramp on the far side of the runways.

Star of the show is of course the occasional appearance of the AN-225!

Oh yes, your traffic looks fine.

Seems that I looked at the wrong edge of the airport. I found much more interesting planes at the southern side (like an An-124 and a Thai A380), will nevertheless have to update my AI traffic, anyway. Perhaps I can show some of those when I leave Frankfurt again.

But somehow I can even understand him.

I made the spring/summer ground textures the fall textures. I think they make very nice fall textures.

These pics are totally unedited.

Apparently we FS niners have be shortchanged  by Aerosoft.... and as usual support non-existant.

Poor Aerosoft, which was forced to make a FS9 version. Very tragic.

Come now, chaps.

It was a bone tossed to us, be grateful.

We are 3% of the customer base, expect 3% support!

And, being FS9'ers, we can look after ourselves anyway - if you need seasonal photoreal textures where there aren't any, you can make them with Martin Wright's BmpSeasn4: http://www.mwgfx.co.uk/

Program to create seasonal versions of FS2004 Phototerrain textures as used in a number of addon sceneries (the default Photoreal areas in FS2004 seem to all have seasonal textures already).

Create full sets of WI and FA textures from existing SU textures.

Note that this just creates the textures. The actual scenery bgls will need modifying or recreating if they are to be season-supporting. For that reason this is intended for Photoreal deveher than end users

Eggzackly... plenty of talent in the pool.

Thanks for the link, I may dip a toe!

Edit: Just realised, that's the home of DXTBMP which I use almost without thinking about it.

Well at Aerosoft EDDF you are limited to D1/4/5/8 so really, Terminal 2 will do you.

Interesting that there are several numbering gaps on all the gate maps I have seen.

At first I thought it might be upper and lower level numbering, but they are just ... missing.
