Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

In the last days i sometimes got a CTD. Not at a specific location or scenery. The error log doesn't show something about prepar3d then but mmc.exe errors at the time of the CTD. Could this have something to do with my bitdefender updating in the background? I already deleted my last scenery xml entries and put them back one by one with no luck. Sometimes no problems no matter where i fly or when switching to different sceneries. Also tried a clean prepar3d.cfg and low settings. But sometimes a CTD now. Anybody having a hint? Thanks.

Hello guys, i had several CTD recently in Prepar3d, and as you may have encountered a similar situation , i intend to give you a possible workaround. The CTD happens when try to use your default scenario (whichever saved) or when you select an aircraft. When it starts to load the scenery it crashes. I observed that this happen due to add on scenery incompatibilities especially some sceneries made on previous prepar3d versions. If you suspect something like this happen then try the following: 1) Go to the place where your Prepar3d cfg is located (roaming etc) and delete your cfg. 2) Rename the exe.xml and the dll.xml 3) start Prepar3d and load the default s…

Hello guys, my sim used to run flawlessly, but every time I try to start the application it immediately crashes. If I change addons it still generates new scenery file indexes, but then crashes immediately. I am using Windows 10 and addons like ORBX and PMDG. Hi all! After doing some internet research, it seems I still cannot find a fix to this problem. Lately I've been having crashes from the "ai_player.dll" while flying in FSX. I have tried with 0% traffic across the board, still seems to do it. The only addon I have is the PMDG 737, no add on scenery, however I do fly on VATSIM, where AI models are still present. Well...I've been trying to diagnose BSOD problems for several weeks now (not P3D related) and I am now having a problem where P3D is stuck on the initial intro screen with a spinning circle Sim has been fine otherwise. I had flown Sunday and haven't touched anything since. I tried to open last night and had this issue (tried at least a dozen times to open). Tried several computer restarts, deleted the main P3D .cfg so it could rebuild and also tried an uninstall/reinstall of client with no luck. Hi community, about one or two weeks ago, I noticed, my scenery and simobjects folder of P3D V3 disappeared. So I tried several things and also reinstalled P3D V3. I unistalled it, deleted all P3D V3 files and installed it again. But everytime it says, P3D V3 can´t start as the api.dll is missing. But when I look into my P3D folder, there is an api.dll. Hello Up until yesterday, I had no problems running p3d on my PC. Yesterday, when I launched it yesterday, I found that my joystick calibration was wrong, so when I was recalibrating the joystick, P3D crashed. Since then, it is always crashing after launch. I have the PA34 Seneca from Carenado and p3dv4.. seems if i load it up in the sim it will crash the sim.. sometimes after 3 seconds and sometimes later, like on takeoff.. i think its the carenado, which is supposed to be v4 compatible now. I also have ASPD running at the same time, unsure if thats related or not, along with the standard orbx software such as ftxg and openlc usa and openlc sa Has anyone ran into this.. have any suggestions? Having had a crash free sim for several weeks today I experienced my first ntdll.dll error in over a month. I was over 6 hours into an 11 hour 30 minute flight from Hong Kong to Luxembourg when my sim just crashed without warning, in event viewer the typical cause was the ntdll. I was using the PMDG 747 and have the latest updates for it with the PFD pop up disabled (I don't use 2D pop up displays anyway only the FMC), however I still managed to get the error. Dear fellow simmers, After struggling for more than 3 days trying to get my P3D working I run out of sources and decided to post here. The all thing started upon upgrading my P3D to version 3.4.22.19868, about 2 months ago, and since then I haven't been able to complete 1 single flight. I have used fsx se for quite a while now with minor problems that have now been fixed. Yesterday a new problem emerged and its actually a big problem for me. Normally, I load into the sim with the airport for the flight along with the clear skies weather theme (for active sky 2016) after loading in, I switch from the default trike to a more complex aircraft (pmdg) but then the sim ctds. I was having CTD issues with P3Dv4 last month, and thought it was due to using ORBX Object Flow 2. I went as far as having a new hard drive installed last week, and doing a clean installation Windows 10. Yes, I know the new version of Windows may be causing problems, but I was getting these CTDs with the prior version too.The only addons I'm using are PMDG aircraft, Active Sky for P3Dv4, and ORBX scenery for P3Dv4, all of which are P3Dv4 compatible. For whatever reason, my simulator tonight has been ruthless to me with no near sign of why this is happening. When loading the flight, the moment I reach 100% or shortly after my sim will "stop responding" requiring me to close the application. Hi there, I've just started getting CTD in V3 after the latest W10 update. Unfortunately it won't let me roll back the update. I use simstarter - if loading into the default cub, no worries, can use the sim fine. If I then try to load the PMDG 747 I get a crash as I click the 'select' button. Hi all, I've been using this version of p3d for almost a year now and fslabs for half a year and haven't had much problems up until now. Since one month ago, these CTDs without errors (even in eventveiwer) started to occur. I haven't done any major change in connection with hardware/software in this time, so I really don't know what would cause such kind of erros. I've installed older (springtime) version of my graphic card which is gygabyte1070oc.
