Hello! Recently been getting some CTD while flying over the Atlantic with the PMDG 777. Always the same error as seen below. This started happening after the latest installer of the PMDG 777. Thanks! Hi, I've been flying with V4 for a few weeks now, and have had a problem quite a few times. P3D crashes when I re tab back into it from another window. To be clear, I don't use Alt + Tab as I'm in windowed and use the task bar to switch. But when I return to P3D it runs fine, and then once I press a command within the sim it freezes and crashes. I run PMDG aircraft only at the moment. Secondly, I have also been having crashes where the simulator just shuts down in the background while in another tab. For both of these there is no error log in the event viewer. Any advice appreciated, thanks for the help! Edit: I'm using FSUIPC 5 (free)

Hello there, I updated my PC last night and when I tried to open it today it just wouldn't load. The blue screen that says 'Microsoft Flight Simulator X' doesn't even load. I just see my desktop. It is disk. -Adam

So as the title states I keep getting this crash on approach to ATL. I've tried this flight now twice and can duplicate it. Im running ORBX, Base, vector and North America with the 737 NGX latest version. Not really sure whats going here as this is the default ATL scenery. I'm also not anywhere near the airport when it crashes. usually descending towards the airport about 150 miles out. Are there any particular logs I can search to see what the issue was? I was approaching on the VYPPR1 and nearing JAZSZ when the crash occurs. If I load a flight near ATL I don't have a crash. So strange. Edit: Trying the CTD Guide.

Experienced the second crash so far with Prepar3d V4 (admittedly, after several weeks of use since release). I really do find it ridiculous that we simmers are still suffering crashes from a decade old program (which is really all Prepar3d is along with a few updates and $60-$200 charges), but enough with my rant. I realize this is a complex program and an infinite amount of complications that can be caused by addons and interactions etc. Anyway, this one occurred 6 hours into my 11 hour KSEA-ZBAA flight. HI, Been running FSX for years and for last couple of years have not had any problems with OOMS despite what I throw at FSX and I do throw a lot at it. About 2 months ago started to get OOMS again. Not added anything for FSX for a very long time. The VAS monitor shows RED and full on initial splash screen which is very strange. Have tried running FSX barebones but makes no difference. I am going to rebuild FSX but just thought I would post this to see if anyone else has had this problem.

Help please. Everything was working fine in P3Dv4 and still does now unless I select a PMDG aircraft. If I do then P3D will build and will then crash to desktop shortly after 100%. It is a fault on ucrtbase.dll according to event viewer but as I say only when loading a PMDG aircraft. Please help. Thanks CaptainGB1

I have had four occasions when flying this plane that the computer has stalled and then crashed. I had to do a "normal restart". I am not a computer wiz but this is what it says was the problem. Hello all. Normally I can figure out what is causing my sim not to launch in the resources available here and elsewhere on the internet, but this one has me stumped. I started up P3D for the first time in a couple weeks today, after installing the Aerosoft CRJ and Turbulent Designs KIDA, and the first launch went smoothly. I went in to move some sliders around, and after making minor slider changes, the sim will not start. CTD every time. So I discovered yet another reason why my P3D v4 is always crashing and after getting back from Oshkosh and buying X-Plane 11 I wanted to do a nice long haul flight in P3D v4 with the PMDG 747, I open up P3D and then the expected happens, it crashes. One thing I noticed was that it was running slower and there was no aircraft spinning around in the window. I was able to select an aircraft and then click on begin flight but then the program stops responding and it crashes. I've confirmed that all of my addons are compatible with P3D v4. Since I installed P3D v4 I had 3 CTDs but only when in flight, after having visored the Garmin GPS, while variable the distance range appeared on Windows 10 message "The program has stopped working" and P3d v4 went into CTD. Precisely that I redone the same flight each time and the problem did not manifest itself as it did not manifest itself on other flights but these random CTDs that happen as varied on the GPS distant range, have never occurred on P3D v3.4.

Twenty minutes into a flight from Birmingham (EGBB) to Ponta Delgada (LPPD) in Concorde my flight sim machine suffered a BSOD with BAD_POOL_HEADER shown as the cause. Sim is P3D v3.4. Computer specs in sig, It appears to be memory related. On 8 June I replaced my existing RAM with two new Crucial sticks mainly as preparation for P3D v4. When I first booted it up after replacing the memory I noticed a LED code on the mobo - A0 which equates to IDE initialization is started but despite leaving the BIOS alone this doesn't seem to have been an issue. Hello, I'm new to the forum. i'm running FSX, flying a Saratoga II TC navigating with the Garmin 530, Windows 10. I'm getting the message "Microsoft Flight Simulator has stopped working". I made sure my graphics card driver is updated (NVIDIA GTX 745). I removed SP 2 from flight simulator to no avail. How do I trouble shoot this? Are there any known fixes? Thanks in advance Tbone

Hi Guys, Here Fsx giving me headaches once again. Yesterday night it was working perfectly, like a charm. Went to bed, and today while trying to start it back up, selected my FSL A320 in EGGW (Luton) or my AS A320 and while loading the bar reaches the 100% saying Loading Complete and then nothing comes up, FS completely stops responding until I have to force the way out of it. Hello everyone, I have been using FSX on and off for the past five years or so. I remember playing it on Windows 7 and Windows 8 with little to no problems. Out of nostalgia, I decided to start the game up once again after a long period of not playing, this time on my new laptop, which has Windows 10 installed. Upon pressing the 'Q' key to silence the sound I sometimes get the sound.dll CTD. What is the exact cause of this issue as I cannot seem to find anything on it online. Hey guys, Im facing this issue right now where while loading a flight (with the default trike) in Frankfurt or Paris CDG - Default (So far, I have not tested or face this issue in other airports) while loading ATC at 83% a window pops up saying that my computer doesn´t have enough memory blah blah blah and crashes. I´ve followed the AVSIM CTD 2017 Guide ever since I installed FSX (Recently). I´ve downloaded the AppCrashView App, but after the crash no newer crasher appear at the top of this app, meaning (I suppose) that it doesn´t recongize it as a crash, I´ve also checked the Windows Event Viewer but no crash appears as well. I've had 2 CTD's recently while flying online (one on Pilotedge and one on Vatsim). Both were on approach, one into FSDT LAX with a PMDG 777 and one into FSDT MSP in the PMDG 737. In both cases traffic was pretty heavy but nothing crazy. What do I need to do to check the cause and to ensure it doesn't happen again? I don't know how to view logs or do any technical things on the back end so any help would be appreciated. I have done flights online (with not too much traffic) from FSDT LAS-EWR, Argentina - MIA, and other long international flights without issue. Whenever I select it on the home it's fine, I have tried so many different airports with the same result, whenever I start the sim the bar climbs to 100%, I see a black screen and then I see my desktop.
