Regarding Fatal Errors, or CTD, I on some occasions get them when I use a PMDG aircraft on a long haul flight to a add on airport. But a fix, if you can really call it a "fix" is join DVA - Delta Virtual Airlines. It is a non profit flight simulation that you use with FSX. It tracks your flight with all the details and a detailed tracking map. If you have a CTD, your flight can be restored where it crashed in FSX through DVA. On a fight with a PMDG 747 from London to San Diego for example, I had a CTD on final approach to KSAN. Hi, I need help for a problem that I´m having with my fsx. When my fsx is processing a free flight, it reaches about 71% and then it crashes. I lower the settings of the scenery from ultra high to medium low and still it has no effect. I started to have this problem after I downloaded some airlines from WORLD OF AI. Hi all, My computer finally did the Fall Creator's Update yesterday morning, and now I'm getting a CTD about 3 minutes after launching a scenario every time. I've tried deleting the .cfg file already and that did nothing. Haven't been able to get much out of the even log until just this last crash, when I got 2 Application errors, 1 System error, and 1 System warning. Details for each below. Does anyone have experience dealing with CTDs that may have been caused while on PilotEdge?

I recently installed KLAX v2 and am experiencing CTDs immediately after taxing out and even while in the air, nearby the airport. Below is my APPCRASH report file. After going through the steps required for debugging recommended by LM, one of their recommended steps is to: "Delete the following generated folders/files. This will result in any add-ons being removed/disabled. %PROGRAMDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 %LOCALAPPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4 %APPDATA%\Lockheed Martin\Prepar3D v4" Ok, so the last time I did this, it took me a few hours to reinstall all my addons via Windows Add/remove programs feature. I recieve the error message "A fatal error occurred". This has been happening ever since I set up a new cfg (I will also post it so it can be checked) and a profile in NVIDIA Inspector. I apologise for the number of posts recently all centred around my greed for FPS ;) When I load up a scenario it gets to 100% then stops there, doesn’t go on further. It is in full screen mode and I have to press alt enter every time to get into windowed mode. Thanks for any help. I have tried clearing the shaders folder and many other solutions from other topics. I do not see the taskbar or anything in full screen mode and I can only get out once the scenario has loaded which it very rarely does. It just gets stuck at 100%. I have a pretty high end system, with windows 10, and about a week or so ago the above error message appeared everytime I clicked on a guage or function in an fsx steam edition flight. Everything freezes after that. If I don't touch anything I can continue flying! No problem with flight sim world. There is some mention about a windows update that may have caused this problem but nothing definitive. Would appreciate any advice that might be out there. Richard

Hello. From time to time I had a CTD in P3Dv4. Very rarelly, but today I had 2 of them. I assumed the first time it was UT2 because everytime I loaded P3Dv4 it appeared an error in event viewer with UT2, but that error was not producing any CTD in my flights. So I uninstalled it and buyed UT2 Live, and now that UT2 server error don't appear. Good. But had a second CTD today same flight while I was pausing for lunch. The sim was paused and was using: 1. Hello, I have been trying to complete a flight from KDHN to KMEM. Each time I get near Tuscaloosa, AL P3D crashes. I don't have any add-on scenery installed for that area or anything. I was able to fly KMEM-KDHN over the same area without the Sim crashing. Anyone else encountered a similar scenario or have any ideas? Thanks in advance!

I have several sceneries from SkyDesigners representing French military airbases. All of the sceneries work fine in FSX-SE and P3Dv3. The sceneries are all very texture intensive with hundreds of 4K textures. None of the sceneries use SODE or have any dlls associated with them. Of the 6 sceneries, 4 cause a CTD within a minute or so of spawning an aircraft at them. 2 of the sceneries are working fine (and look beautiful in v4). My questions are: 1) Are there FS2004 scenery elements in these sceneries that would work in FSX but cause a CTD in v4? 2) How would you go about troubleshooting which scenery elements could be causing this? 3) Are the…

Hello I have installed the T2G EDDM for V4, however I am having an issue with that and the PMDG NGX When I install EDDM and try to load a flight with the NGX, the sim crashes to desktop with no errors. When I uninstall EDDM the sim works normally again. I think I have narrowed the problem down to something to do with the Terrain file within the T2G installation, as when I deactivate this area in my scenery library, the sim runs normally. Anyone have and idea what is going on here? Many thanks

My new found Prepar3D v4 colleagues! Now, as I’ve stated in my first post, I’m coming from the X-plane world of flight simulation, and in that environment, I do know a little bit about how to diagnose a CTD and hopefully have it fixed. But now with P3D, I’ve just experience my first wave of CTDs: how special 😊. I tried repairing P3D from the Window’s 10 Add/Remove programs function, but to no success. I even dialed done my overclocking, thinking that it may have something to do with stability. What is the next step? Hi i Have a problem allmost every flight after 1.30 hours and somthimes after 3 hours the sim freezes BUT the flight continuos means that acars showing that flight continious vatspy too and sound is working if i go outide view i hear the sound its like everything is working but its frozen.. i "fix" it by pressing the save button restarting the sim and loading the save thats not a sulotion i thought its a nvidia problem and i tried million nvidia drivers but nothing fixed it.. Anyone getting a CTD when on approach to any of the 3 Taxi2Gate P3Dv4 sceneries? I can start at them with no issue but when arriving and within 5 to 10nm, the sim pauses and then CTD. No errors in event viewer, nothing, just right to desktop. Any other scenery works great, just not these 3. So far getting this at KSEA and EDDM and LFPG. Very frustrating....

Hi everyone i know people been saying this and they solved the problem but not for me, prepar3d v4 does not start at all for me, every time i try to launch it it says something about building database for scenery files then nothing happens it simply quits with no errors or anything and it's not even in the task manager, i restarted my computer, repaired it, reinstalled it, deleted the reg from the host file, deleted the generated files, i don't have a joystick or a sound card, no addons, i bought it yesterday and been trying to find a fix for it since then but nothing worked, i need some serious help because i'm giving serious thoughts now about asking for a refund. …

Hi there, I've lately been getting consistent crashes right after pushback using the PMDG 747 at FB KSFO. According to event viewer, the fault seems to be from 'MSVCR120.dll'. Would anyone happen to have any idea which addon might be using this? I suspect a reinstall of that addon would fix it but not sure what uses it. Thanks in advance.

I'm getting FREEZES after an hr or so P3D v4 latest drivers and NO FSUIPC . .Tacview64 is running in the background (have turned that off now). . nothing else really besides skype and OPUS weather (old version) . . Mine is not related to FSUIPC if it's not loaded. Any other ideas?
