Starting yesterday my PC randomly reboots by itself. First time it happened was shortly after I started a flight and while checking out different saved camera views. The loaded aircraft was the Zibo mod 737-800 in XP11. I was very surprised since I've been flying a lot lately with zero issues. I was also surprised the way my computer restarted. Not a crash to the desktop and no error messages. Instead it was like I would have unplugged the power where I was thrown directly from XP to a black screen and then the MSI logo always seen when I restart my computer. I recently installed FSX:SE and have been using it with decent success, with several add-ons (Orbx base pack, PMDG 737 [constantly had loss of clickspots issues but that's unrelated to this I think], freeware scenery etc). Greetings. I can no longer start P3D. When I start PC I see P3D4.2 is attempting to start but in about 20-30 seconds it crashes. If I try to restart P3D still won’t run. Hi guys! I had a problem these days. FSX stops working. Nothing is appeared on the windows event viewer. I have deleted fsx.cfg. No oom. I updated windows 10 with the last update. Does anybody have an idea? Thank you in advance!

I have installed Widetraffic 64 in my home cockpit comprising of 04 client computers for outside panoramic view and 01 Server computer for controlling client computers through Wideview addon. After starting of P3D v4, it crashed on all the 04 client computers with error VCRUNTIME140.dll. It happened again and again on all the 04 Client computers. Surprisingly, this error did not appear on Server computer. Then, I uninstalled Widetraffic 64 from all the client computers. After uninstallation, the client computers are again working satisfactorily. This confirms that CTD of client computers by VCRUNTIME140.dll is being caused by Widetraffic 64. An observation is that…

So after Jan 2nd I made the decision to leave FSX behind and switch to P3d 4.1 to take advantage of 64bit and not worry about OOMS even though I had managed them pretty good and avoided them. The big reason was that developers are leaving it behind. I had a rock solid FSX install which I never experienced CTD. In summary I've spent the last 3 months struggling to have a stable P3D install that doesn't continually CTD. I focus on the big recommendations (ntdll.dll is the faulting module). Hi Community, Hope you can help. I had an issue (still have more on that later) whereby at Dusk and Night time only I get a DXGI error reset or hung message within 20 minutes without fail! In the daytime and as I write I am happily cruising in the Daytime in PMDG 777 at x8 time compression en-route to SBGL all is good! Hi there, I originally posted this over for the nice people at the iFly forums, thinking it might be an issue with their 747. But the same thing happened for me with the PMDG 777... P3D "stops working" in the same place each time, near the FASSA waypoint. AppCrashView reports the problem as "A heap has been corrupted". I was told "0xc0000374 issues are caused by misconfigured system files. 0xc0000374 usually happen when the computer's registry system overloads with to much data, or when certain system files become missing or broken." Having had a crash free simulator for the past several months, today I was 'awoken' by an api.dll error which has puzzled me as I have not had one of those in a very long time. My settings aren't very high so I don't see how the cause could be high settings, I haven't changed anything on my computer in several weeks such as installing new things or uninstalling others. This is my last resort, what could be the cause? Hi, I have in the past posted queries about PMDG 737 Freezes. I've just now seen a post of a few years ago suggesting adding a line to the fsx.cfg file to help with PMDG 777 freezes. the suggestion is adding a line VideoMemoryOverride=536870912 to the section [DISPLAY.Device.NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770.0] . Could I use this extra line in my fsx.cfg file to help with freezing when flying the 737 aircraft? Hi MS FSX SP2 Win 7 64 bit. I must clarify that my computer skills go as far as turning on and turning off. Since yesterday when I go to boot up FSX I get a popup from the FSX.exe that MFC80.DLL is missing and that FSX can't start. I try a few more times - same thing. And then I try again and FSX starts up normally and everything is completely normal. Obviously I've Googled this, but being a complete novice I find some of the posts a little confusing. I have had this problem many times. I greatly suspect it is the model matching that causes the crash. Whenever I fly on vatsim, my sim crashes when I am up in the air. I assume it happens when it tries to load a model. All my woai and aircraft models are in one folder. The path is D:\SteamLibrary\steamapps\common\FSX\SimObjects\Airplanes. I can rarely get a full flight in. Looking at the event viewer and the just installed AppCrashView the faulting module seems to always be MSVCR80.dll. I was reading the forums the other day and saw that there was something in the AVSIM CTD Guide. Unfortunately the forum post was 2017 and the new guide didn't have anything about this module. Jim Young, I want to commend you on your exemplary help provided in this forum. I have download your CTD guide just now, and I have been reading your posts on this forum. I have been struggling with terrain.dll CTD's almost always in the KLGB area regardless of aircraft. I'm using ORBX global and ORBX southern California. After reading your post above, I CAN'T WAIT to get home and try this. The CTD's are devastating to me particularly because they happen on the approach end of the flight and I'm using PilotEdge ATC services. Thought I’d share my recent experience with FSX when it failed to load. This is a new variation not covered in the AVSIM CTD Guide. I have FSX Deluxe with SP2 installed on a Windows 10 PC. The evening before the failure, I had started a short flight from EDDT to EGLL, but changed my mind about the plane I was using and exited FSX. When I came back, I clicked to FSX icon to launch the program and the splash screen appeared, and then FSX just hung up. I had to use Task Manager to kill FSX.
