Nine hour flight. About twenty minutes to go. CTD on view change. Running ChasePlane 0.4.180 Beta; PMDG T7. No issues throughout the flight changing views etc, until the CTD. I thought this was the FSX days... Details from the event viewer are below. Any thoughts on why would be great. Thnx. After only 20 minutes of flying, my FSX:SE program crashes. I have tryed many of the hints in the CTD Avsim guide but problem stays. Maybe it is a memory problem but I think my PC configuration is a strong one.(Intel Core i7-7700 CPU @ 360GHZ, 16 GB RAM, NVDIA GeForce GTX 1070 and Win10 64 bit installed). Hi, For some reason P3Dv4.1 has become unusable for me in the last few days. I'm getting frequent freezes which seem to lead to the whole PC crashing. Sometimes the simulator appears to be still running for a while, i.e. you can see the aircraft moving through the air and interact with the cockpit displays. But none of the menus work and eventually the whole PC crashes. Sometimes I see jumbled colours on the screen at this point. There's no trace of any errors in the logs. I don't have crashes running any other applications on the PC. I haven't made any major changes to my simulator recently. Between November when I switched to v4 and now everything has been run…

Good morning lads, sadly i had to notice that after i reinstalled my flight sim i started having big start up problems. When i am about to start the p3d.exe, it starts loading normaly... But im not even coming to the main menu... i think the start up time is endless... so if anybody of you got some solutions for me that would awesome! little side note: i already reinstalled P3D and tried to repair it... without success :( or could it be a problem with the registry? Hello Guys, I am simmer not for long , just from last summer and everything is new for me but I am eager to go on inspite I encounter my nightmare - after a few minutes the mouse pointer lost his functionality to move knobs, buttons, levers... As you know the mouse pointer is an arrow but when you sitting in the cockpit and come over an knob the arrows change to hand and you can set the knob, buttons,levers..... to desired position, isnt? I have always had a peculiar CTD when starting P3Dv4.1 This was a clean install on a new computer.(Win 10 and P3Dv4.1) What happens, 9 times out of 10 is that on starting P3D I get a CTD about 10 secs (varies) after start while the black P3D logo is still showing. (The odd time it starts without any problem). If I then close P3D and restart P3D - it starts everytime with no problems. I can live with this except an ATC programme I have networked will then not connect. I've had a crash running FSX in which I got a blue screen with the message 'WHEA_Uncorrectable _Error' . I read elsewhere that this could be a very serious hardware problem (or a software one) . My PC is a new Windows 8 computer about 4 months old. What should be my next step to sort this problem out? Thanks. Ray

I posted about this issue on the Steam forum, although I don't know if it is unique to the Steam version of FSX, so I thought I would post it here as well. I recently upgraded from Windows 7 to Windows 10 and have been unable to get FSX-SE running. When I try to start, a message box immediately pops up that says "Flight Simulator was unable to load some program files and will now exit. Please reinstall Flight Simulator to restore or repair the program installation." I've tried messing with compatibility settings, running as Admin, verifying game cache integrity, reinstalling the DirectX 9 and C++ redistributables, even a total reinstall. Hey Folks, For the sake of record and to help the next guy in line, I'd like to report that I had a fairly predictable CTD with P3Dv4 and that I'm pretty sure I fixed it. I flew three flights with the PMDG 777: 1) KDEN->KIAD, 2) KDEN->KIAD, 3) KDEN->KIAH. All three flights crashed to desktop during the descent on the arrival. Typically around the FL240 mark, which for me is when I start mucking around a lot with things for landing -- particularly the FMC. I installed FSX today after reinstalling Windows 8.1. Had FSX before and it worked like a charm. Basically I installed FSX like normally, everything is okay during FSX menu or changing the settings. But problem occurs when I try to play a mission or click fly now on free flight. I get kicked to desktop, FSX runs for few more seconds in the background and then crashes, I get a pop up saying Fatal error has occured. I have DirectX installed, net Framework and MSXML installed. Also installed latest drivers. My specs are: APU A10 5745M, Radeon HD8610G, 8GB RAM. Run FSX before on this so system specs shouldnt be a problem.

HI, I recently bought the PMDG 777 and when I opened FSX:SE to try it out, things didn't go well. Issue: I choose the aircraft, airport, date and time, the flight loads, initialization starts but stops after 8 seconds and FSX:SE crashes with no error messages. Event Viewer: For some reason, nothing shows up on the event viewer or on the other program I use to check the cause of this problem. What I've done so far: I uninstall FSX:SE, the PMDG 777-200 base package, and the PMDG 777-300ER.Downloaded them again but nothing changed. I hope a solution can be found ASAP for this issue. Although I am not having any crash to desktop I have received the error message below installing FSDT scenery using the addon manager. This appears to cause couatli to work only sometime with the FSDT airports. The folks at FSDT have been very helpful and state the message below is the possible solution. Unfortunately for me I am not a computer guru and not sure what I need to do with the dll.XML file. Should I just use Notebook++ and change the dll.XML file to ANSI or the first lines of the dll that reference encoding? “\dll.xml error on line 1. After recently installing GSX, I have been experiencing issues with my FSX:SE. Shortly after loading in to my flight my screen freezes and shortly after my game crashes. I've uninstalled gsx but this event is still happening. I'd be more then glad for any help. Thank you! -Lucas

I have done some searching on this and found things saying to turn off Windows Defender and also a post saying to run bcdedit.exe...AlwaysOff from an administrative command prompt. I've done these things but still get this incredibly irritating error from time to time. Does anyone have any ideas what else I can try? My O/S is Win7 and using P3D v4.1 with 99% of my flights in the FSLabs A320 if any of that info helps. Thanks. This is so frustrating. :(

I have P3DV4, when I start P3D it loads but when the loading finished the screen turns black and P3D run as a background application. I reinstalled tried everything I can I reset my sceneries as well

Hi Everyone, I am recently having terrible issues with FSX when running FSDT scenery and PMDG B777 over the last few months. I suspect it may be something to do with my sceneries because a can do FSX flights with my B777 to non FSDT sceneries but every time I load and try a flight to or from the FSDT scenery FSX crashes while in my preflight with no warning. I can do flights in the PMDG B737 with no issue in and out of FSDT sceneries - its all very odd, and extremely frustrating. Never had issues until a month or so ago. Is anybody else seeing this?

I'm sure this has been asked several times but if anyone can help I'd be more than grateful. I have spent a lot of money and time to get FSX but am seriously thinking of selling everything and giving up. No matter what I do my system shuts down with a message telling me I'm out of available memory. I'm running in Intel Core i7 6700K @ 4 GHZ with 32Gb of installed RAM so it's a fairly powerful computer.
