Crash To Desktop (CTD) Forum

P3D lately has been crashing near New York City or any surrounding airport within a 50 radius of KJFK. It is also crashing over Cuba near Haiti and Dominican Republic.I have just recently installed ORBX North America open LC. I have FTX Global Base & Vector. I have uninstalled P3d and all scenery addons I have and I have run out of ideas. So i'm hoping someone would have some insight on this problem or how to possibly fix this.

We are some who are fighting to get the P3D up flying again. Some has uninstalled everything, even Windows for trying to get it to work.. But no - its not working... In my limited computer understanding, something is wrong between Windows and P3d. I'm having an odd CTD. There is nothing in event log. No fatal errors. Nothing. Happens when I right click to open a menu. I have changed my version of UIAutomationCore.dll The only thing being produced is a minidump file which tells me 'The thread tried to read from or write to a virtual address for which it does not have the appropriate access.' No faulting modules or anything. I am using the PMDG 737 NGX if that helps.

I started P3D today after installing GSX and a few other addons and got this message: the procedure entry point simconnect_text could not be located in the dynamic link library simconnect.dll P3D then closes, the top of this error message has:"bglmanx.dll" written on it. I uninstalled GSX and P3D worked, I then tried re-installing it and runned P3D again.. still got the same error message and P3D closed.

I had no problem use FSX and somewhere i read to put UIAutomationCore.dll in FSX folder for better performance. Idid it and that time i have crash to desktop. Hello, This morning, P3D v4,2 ran fine on my Win 10 Home PC (i5-4690k, GTX 1080, 32 GB RAM). Upon shutdown, there was an "Update and shutdown" selection, and windows installed 2 updates. Tonight I purchased several FTX sceneries on sale (Trees, Northern CA, and 3 airports). All installed normally via FTX Central. P3D had been working fine with many other FTX sceneries on board. After install, I started P3D and I got a "P3D has stopped working" error right at the display of the Scenario screen. I uninstalled the FTX sceneries - no change. Dear All, Well, I am experiencing that error since almost a week now, all with the same plane QW787 .......Which is, by the way, an amazing plane with some option I am enjoying very much makes me want to continue flying that bird........ The error went as follows: First flight OEJN-EGCC it's about 6 hours three tries, The first flight and the second using the Qw I kind of noticed that the FSX crashes with the above error almost at the same spot about 400nm from TOD - I changed the flight plan at the second flight-, I tried the flight with a 777 and it went alright, then I tried the QW again and flight accomplished without a problem this time. What I have done so far (fsx-se) 1. followed Jims link to the a2a fix and installed activeX and installed drivers from Realtek.........didnt work 2. went to my mobo website and installed realtek drivers from their own audio link......didnt work 3 went to driver booster which listed audio drivers as out of date (even after I installed the above two) installed ....didnt work I cant complete a single flight without a crash . I even installed several fsx back ups going back to a time when I didnt have Audio crashes but even that didnt work Im out of options but thinking about buying a sound card thats not realtek, I wonder if that would work?

I have been experiencing an issue with the Fslabs a320 in Prepar 3D V3 when i press ok to start the flight with the fslabs a320 selected i get a black screen for a few seconds before the sim crashes. I have reinstalled p3d but still no luck. Any help would be very appreciated. Thanks in advance. Hi, I just purchased P3D v4, with the hope of having no issues more like that, but it's still core FSX. What ever I tried to do the tutorial flight of FSL A320, but after ca. 10 minutes P3D says: "p3d.exe has stopped working". I installed FSUIPC (not registered), GSX, Flytampa Vienna, FSDT LSZH. I am trying to add some objects to in Brisbane using Simdirector in P3D V4.2. I takes very long for Simdirector to load in the first place and once loaded it crashes to the desktop as soon as I place an object from the library. I am using ORBX products and the Australia region. I tried disabling all addons like AS and using default aircraft but the same thing happens every time. No error code. P3D just shuts down. Any advise would be appreciated.

I run p3d 3.4. My sim keeps crashing (always )around the avvon area. I was doing a flight cyow-avvon-vikno-lafit-cyul and my sim hung,froze and ctd.I tried everything .no joy. I disabled(renamed the bgl file) traffic and also checked out the avsim ctd guide but I'm not any wiser. Not sure it is the airac ? idid the same flight many times and I ctd always around the same spot.Any of you care to test the route ? Thanks

Whenever I try to run FSXSE it doesn't even boot to the menu screen and says that my graphics card is invalid. I have the GTX 970M. It was running fine before but this happened randomly. I check the CFG and checked it had my graphics card on it, and it did. I deleted the CFG, and rebooted, no success. I also deleted shaders and tried rebooting, didn't work. I even reinstalled all of FSX. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Greetings: I know this has been around for awhile in P3d v3 according to what I have been reading but it just started for me today and it has effectively shut me out of my simulator. It loads everything up and the last window I see is Chaseplane then CTD. Some seem to think it is a windows 10 problem when it updated a specific update. ( I hate automatic updates) but I digress. I was hoping there is a fix by now but I don't see anything.Can anyone help ? I am at a total loss what to do next. I just got through reading about the windows 10 insider program and it's problems but I am not a subscriber and it's not automatic so now I am really confused. Thanks, don23…

After reinstalling my P3Dv4 I got a very strange issue, everytime I start P3D it normally starts up, but when the Scenario page opens, P3D stops responding and some texts turns blurry. It doesn't crash immediately but after a long time (about 5 minutes) it says "P3D has stopped working" then crash. I can't even access the choose vehicle or airport pages. I searched for many solutions but they don't seem helpful. It's no use to delete and regenerate %programdata%\Lockheed Martin or the prepar3d.cfg. Now I can't even fly... so do anyone know how to solve this issue? Thx.

Hi all- I've had an interesting two days regarding the error message above. Three days ago I start getting that message. Did some research. Re-seated card (TitanBlack), GPU temps fine (45). Uninstalled 391 drivers, went to 388's. Uninstalled 4.2, deleted all folders, reinstalled no addons. DXGI_ERROR_DEVICE_HUNG Uninstalled 4.2, reinstalled 3.4. NO ERROR. Hmmmmmm...... Hello, i Need help. I have chnage the „UIAutomationCore.dll many time with differnce dll., but I have the issue again and every time. My sim is very stable but when I go in the menu for example "Addon" and move the mouse the i get an CTD. I thin, it is not the „UIAutomationCore.dll. Is there anybody who has an idea? Best Michael

Dear all, Today I just finished clean installing my PC and got P3D v4.2 installed. While having my first returning flight, the sim crashed with ntdll.dll as the fault module, which I have never expected and experienced before. Then I read the CTD guide here and wondered if overclocking was the culprit. I have a 6700k overclocked to 4.6GHz with around 1.25v, and two 4GB ram sticks overclocked to 3000MHz with the factory-loaded XMP profile. Actually my system has been running perfectly in Windows without any BSOD, except rare memory-related boot failure which can be easily "tackle" by resetting (restarting) the PC solely. Hi, A strange one, every time I have P3Dv4.1 running and click on file explorer in the taskbar, P3D freezes and after about 10 minutes I get a CTD. (No log of the CTD in event viewer any of the times) I can use chrome of the taskbar with no issues, it is just when clicking file explorer This is a new rig and a fresh install of P3D I have found no answers or similar problems to this anywhere on the internet. HiFi Simulations suggests the following to help with freezing of FSX: AFFINITYMASK Setting and Freezes Use an appropriate AFFINITYMASK setting within your FSX.cfg configuration file. This setting specifies which cores are used for FSX. Using too many cores, or improper cores can cause freezes. If you are using 6 or more cores, it is important to limit the cores used, as too many cores causes synchronization problems and more potential freezes. We recommend using 3 cores maximum, regardless of HT enabled or not. Has anyone experienced freezing and used these suggestions? If so, what was the effect on freezing?

For W7 (probably W8 as well?!?) users: Follow these instruction EXACTLY! If after following these instructions to universally turn off D(ata)E(xecute)P(rotection aka; DEP you receive in the command box 'operation successful ', congrats, you just ended your BEV and StackHash errors crashing FSX. You can always turn DEP back on by the same instructions. If you have gotten these errors with FSX freezing or shutting down (CTD) try this solution. If you have adequate protections in place, you most likely don't need DEP (you never had it with XP) plaguing you. As said in title, P3D gets an OOM error when taskmanager says i'm only using 50% of my memory. Why?

Greetings; Fairly 'new' at this kind of issue. Though somewhat confident in 'tech'; I typically turn off services not needed for FSX or REX to run. then 'monitor' usage via MS Process Explorer; thereby enabling more RAM and 'resources' to accommodate my old system. I should add that typically twice a month I conduct 'PC MAINTENANCE', turning all services back on and conduct all updates for Windows, Java, Malwarebytes, NORTON ANTIVIRUS, then Defrag my two HDDs. I've also attempted to clear 'cache' by deleting those in 'TEMP', %TEMP%.
