Lets be honest here, seeing the sites at close range and at about 600 ft doesn't work very well with a DOuglas aircraft. So what do you recommend for low altitude flying and being able to see national monuments close up? The Cosair is OK, but I been thinking of learning to fly a chopper.What is your advice?

I need help. I can make it to the part where the first engine fails. But all of a sudden, the plane loses all speed and begins a violent plunge towards the ground, and I cannot regain control. After the #4 engine fails, I turn right (could this be the problem?) to get back to the Edwards VOR, and I start spiraling downwards. Even when I do make it to the airport, where the wheels touch the pavement, they just sink into it and the sim registers a crash. I need help!Thanks,BoeingGuy

I'm starting this post to answer questions on this mission.I will create a version without the gates etc and produce a "realism" version. I'll still provide a version with gates but there will be a manual step to replace the default "high realism" version.Is it hard to manually start the engines? The mission follows the actual flight timetable from the Flight Data Recorder. Read the details tab for tip on manually starting engines. It's easy.I'll stop the VH-PAR AI aircraft popping up at the start. Has anyone ever caught the poachers when they turn south? I think there must be a glitch in the southern scenario. I don't have a problem when they turn north, but when they turn south, It's okay when you land on the side road but when you land the second time landing on the road they are on, their truck come right thriough the helicopter. I've tried landing various distances from the intersection but it makes no difference the poachers either get away or disable your aircraft with gunfire. So my advice would be , if they turn south don't even try to land on the road. Just keep your distance until they get away, then go to the airstrip and complete the mission in the DC-…

I am having a lot of trouble finding the third waypoint, the Acropolis. I know it is on a hill near Athens...I know how to fly to an intersection using two VORs, but the briefing map is so cluttered I can't tell which two VORs and radials.Is it heading 184 or a track of 184 that will overfly the Acropolis? I did what the narrator said and flew heading 184, but my track was 164.I'm not the only one, once I was in someone elses session and they closed it down after 45 mins, guess they couldn't find it either.Any help apreciated... :-beerchugDonald T.EDIT: This is a multiplayer mission... I have a copy of FSX Deluxe and the Acceleration expansion pack, but some of the missions don't show up in the game menu and I cannot access them! I've seen ones about racing an F-18 in a canyon, a secret island race and some kind of hoops race in Greece aswell. The folders are in the system files but they don't show up in the game. I would love to play these missions, so does anyone have any ideas how I can make them work? Thanks

I can't extend the landing gear in this mission. Is anyonelse having the same problem? If so is there a solution?Thanks

Hi there friends!I have a question. When flying in Red Bull Air Races mode, does the simulator has any strict criteria to judge the player. As far as I know you can play in multiplayer session so it's possible to fly let's say 5-6 people at a time or competing together. So Can the FSX acceleration pack give you exact info about your run and the points for your Red Bull Air races flight? I mean can I make a tournament with several friends and at the end will be acceleration pack be able to give us exact info with the points from each others flight, and some kind of statistics!?Best regards!

I downloaded Northern Adventures two sample missions and really enjoyed them. The two sample missions are supposedly part of a 14-mission package but I don't find it for sale anywhere. The company's website is very basic without any purchasing capabilities that I can find. Does anybody know where to buy this software?

I do not have the ability to create an adventure but I am interested in recreating a really good adventure based on my real world ferry flight from India to the uk.This took place last october from New Delhi India to Karachi in Pakistan in a Citation 2. The Jet had a number of problems on the trip the first leg being flying through monsoon weather to Karachi.This was flown at night.After a refuel I pressed on to Bahrain through Iran with a special clearance to go through their airspace. Hi folks,did anyone get the Top Secret Satellite Recovery Badge in the Payload Recovery Mission? I got the payload to the carrier in time, but "all" I got was the "Expeditious Service Medal". I have to commend you, fsxmissionguy, for a most challenging and well executed mission. Very well done.Took me a couple of reloads to get right. "Crashing" into things that are ten or more meters away is rather annoying, not to mention the weather induced lag adding to the fun! :(

I'm having trouble loading a mission with both a flight plan and a wx(weather) file. Mission is from CLS DC-10 "worst snowstorm." TIA

Before you ask, yes, I did put the BGl in my Scenery/World/Scenery folder. The only ideas I have about this are that I am missing the carrier's file, or that because of the location of my FSX (C:/Flight Simulator X), the file is not being found. When I start the mission my helo and all the other aircraft just sort of float 70ft over the ocean. Any thoughts?

I built a Mission based on the FSMission tutorial. I linked the FLT to the Mission xml and copied ovver the flt and wx to "My mission" folder and everything.But It does not list the mission that I created when I tru to test it out. I tried restarting FSX.I also started clean and built me a second mission. That too doesn't show up.Any ideas?Manny

I was forced to do a system restore, I had completed all of the missions in fsx and had backed up the fsx files from my documents, unfortunately this did not contain the saves of all of the missions being complete, does anyone know where I can get the save files or download them, some might consider this cheating but I have finished them all already and miss my checkmarks.

Any of the mission design gurus interested in creating a mission that would allow us helicopter enthusiasts to practice lifts without worrying about the instructor ending the mission when we damage the object we are lifting? A bunch of differing objects to lift with a bunch of places to put them. No real objective or reward. Just looking for a way to practice lifting with the helicopter. Thanks for your consideration.

Hello,I've been slowly going through the missions in between downloading AI and AFCADS to get FSX up to where my FS9 used to be. Anyway, I completed the first two missions, got the wings, and kept doing the missions to get the "bonus" awards. The third mission, Tutorial 3, has you take off, pass the three balloons and then land. It gives you the option of landing at any of the three runways. Of course, I chose the shortest and landed. After exiting, no bonus. I took off and landed at the second smallest. Still no bonus award. I finally took off and landed at the large runway. No bonus award.Is there a bonus award on this mission? Can you give me a hint how to complete it?…
