	I found a really cool scenery/aircraft(?) on Flight Replicas, that is an entire bomb group of 126 B-17s as 1 "aircraft", so you can have a massive swarm of B-17s for simulated missions without the tedious formation making or extra polys causing lag. The issue is - how the heck do you get it to follow a mission plan!?
</p>

<p>
	In this case, I essentially just want 1 AI aircraft, to follow a loop of coordinates (about 12), no takeoff or landing, and enough to where I can fly along in formation. I've been pulling my hair out trying to figure out why nobody has figured out how to do this in FSX yet? I'm using FSX:SE, so the default mission editor SDK will not work (which I've heard it's not very good anyway). I've tried FSX Mission Editor 2, but the documentation on it is lacking, and I can't find anybody who has tried to make an AI aircraft follow a set of waypoints, or even uploaded a screenshot of their setup for it. I've tried AI Flight Planner (AIFP), but that seems to not be much help (just the same A-B airport planning). I have also heard that you can make fake floating airports with runways enroute so your aircraft do something that resembles making a waypoint, but I have concerns of how good this works, and also how to set it up (I wasn't able to find a concise tutorial about that either).
</p>

<p>
	Am I trying to do something that just isn't possible? Is there a way to just have an AI aircraft follow waypoints at all, in any way, shape, or form?
</p>

<p>
	Hello people
</p>

<p>
	I'm new to this forum, so I'll introduce myself first:
</p>

<p>
	My name is Jörg (aka andi20) and I live in Switzerland.
</p>

<p>
	I've been using flight simulators since Microsoft FS1 for C64, back then with an exhilaratingly fast 2 frames per second. Since then I have probably used all versions of the flight simulator up to and including FSX. Microsoft stopped the development and sold the Flusi to P3d, so I have been using this simulator since P3dV4.
</p>

<p>
	In FSX there were many interesting missions.<br />
	In P3D missions (Scenarios) are called, unfortunately there are only few Scenarios.<br />
	That's why I started to create my own missions for myself.
</p>

<p>
	Since 2018 I create missions (Scenarios) for Prepar3D and since 2019 I provide my (German language) missions to the public for free.<br />
	Meanwhile there are over 30 missions, which are compatible with P3dV4, P3dV5 and P3dV6.
</p>

<p>
	I have tried to craft varied missions:<br />
	- Sometimes you are a supplier for a dubious boss...<br />
	- Sometimes you do a sightseeing flight in NewYork, or rather a time race?<br />
	- Comfortable sightseeing flight in Scotland (maybe you see Nessi?)<br />
	- How about a gliding flight in the Swiss Alps?
</p>

<p>
	Since I don't speak English, my missions were only available in German so far.<br />
	In the meantime there is a very good automatic translator, so I am translating all missions into English right now.<br />
	In the meantime 19 missions are translated.
</p>

<p>
	The installation is as simple as it is safe:
</p>

<p>
	Copy the files <span style="color:#95a5a6;">(Flight.fxml, Flight.pln, Flight.wx, Flight.xml and the Folder Flight)</span> of a mission into the P3D storage directory:<br />
	C:\Users\USERNAME\Documents\Prepar3D v4 Files (you have to replace USERNAME with your individual name).
</p>

<p>
	Uninstallation : Delete the corresponding files again and everything is removed without leaving any residues.
</p>

<p>
	If you are interested, you can download it here:<br /><a href="https://andi20.ch/p3d/" rel="external nofollow">https://andi20.ch/p3d/</a>
</p>

<p>
	Have fun
</p>

<p>I will be releasing a NEW FSX Simcopter. This version is a complete re-do of Sim Westerly. New 3d object by me have been added along with many object by other 3d modelers that I have downloaded from avsim. The missions are now easier to install with a self installing .exe. and easier to complete. You will only fail if you jut can not finish it because you just ran out of time to play it or you crash your helicopter. THERE ARE NO CODES to unlock the zip file. You do not need to finish a city to play another city. Look for the video at youtube which I will upload in the next two days. The mission will be uploaded here at avsim after I have completed testing the mission (Groton Connecticut) and removing it from my flight simulator and using the installer and testing it again to make sure nothing is missing. I will also be uploading Pontotoc, Mississippi, a reqeust that was sent to me some time ago. Sorry for the long delay as I was working hard on this re-make. </p>
<p>Please post any questions, comments or requests here.</p>
<p>Enjoy flying SimCopter again.</p>

	Hi-new here and asking for help. Last month's new FSX-missions appeared in AVSIM-library--author==HeloMissionMan.

<p>
	Basicly enjoyable about new addons and I tried some. 1'st ( "Queenstownfishermansrecue") works well--nice!<span class="ipsEmoji">😊</span>
</p>

<p>
	Others like "Carcassretieval", "Seaplancrash", "Prisonerevacation"....starts only as freefligt--no compass, commets, objects.
</p>

<p>
	No idea about differece zu those! In readme's emailadress is shown (helo.missioman@nym.hush.com) to get answers---
</p>

<p>
	---but doesn't work--maildomain!<span class="ipsEmoji">😞</span>
</p>

<p>
	Has anyone tried such missions? Using FSX many years and often came bugs by downloads--most errors are missing objects
</p>

<p>
	in XML-files but cannot find any. Hope for helpfully repies, thanks!

	You how it goes, you finally get everything cooking just nice ...except for that one little silly thing that defies all efforts to track down.
</p>

<p>
	I can taxi, takeoff, fly land....but on touchdown no nosewheel steering.  Looking externally, it appears the nosewheels are just slightly below the runway. The only way to regain control is enter slew mode, just a quick tap of the Y key and the nosewheels bounce back up and all good again.
</p>

<p>
	P3Dv5, ActiveSky, FSDT,AIG, RFN, and SWS Carriers active, all software, drivers and OS updated and current  Removed all and added them back one at a time, no difference. No errors generated or log
</p>

<p>
	Ideas?

<p>
	Welcome to the <strong>Appalachian Trail Adventure. </strong>This a series of 13 missions which follows a dirt path thru 13 states along the famous Appalachian Trail in the eastern United States. Start the mission in Georgia and follow it north to Maine. From the avsim library you will need download and install the <strong>Appalachian Trail Scenery </strong>from FSX scenery page and the <strong>Appalachian Trail Adventure</strong> from the FSX Mission page. I am using Instant Scenery along with MegaSceneryEarth to create land classes, lakes ,rivers and roads as close as I can to the real scenery about  one mile around the trail as FSX will allow. In these missions you will need to find all the shelters on the trail. After you reach the end of each mission you will receive a reward for completing that state then start the next state. You will these missions in Maine. Thu-hikers log their experience on the trail in the Appalachian Trail log book. I ask if you please log your completion of this mission here.
</p>

<p>
	I am currently testing the missions and hope to release these files here in May 2021

	Not sure if this in the right spot, so if isn't, please forgive me.    Did a quick search &amp; couldn't find anything.
</p>

<p>
	Have been doing flight planning with the default P3d V4.5 flight planner.
</p>

<p>
	I set up a plan using the PMDG 738NGXU, from Honolulu - Van Nuys. The default High Alt. route gave me a GS of 1065kts., a fuel burn of 18,540 Gal., and a 2:06 flight time.
</p>

<p>
	I realize the PMDG a/c are good, but not that good! ( sarcasm included <span><span class="ipsEmoji">🙂</span></span> )  I've noticed this with many other a/c too. FSX usually didn't have this problem.
</p>

<p>
	Is this a bug with P3d? How am I supposed to figure a fuel load when it's like this?  Is there a fix for this?  I don't want to use a 3rd party flight planner if I don' have to.
</p>

<p>
	Any help would be appreciated.

<p>
	Hi. My name is Dave and I am the creator of the Appalachian Trail Adventure Missions.
</p>

<p>
	My goal is to complete the entire Appalachian Trail Adventure, most likely before I actual finish hiking the entire trail.
</p>

<p>
	I am looking for your help.
</p>

<p>
	If you have downloaded any of these missions and are unable to run it. PLEASE LET ME KNOW.
</p>

<p>
	I am an armature and make these mission as a hobby.
</p>

<p>
	I have Windows 7 and FSX Professional version on my computer.
</p>

<p>
	I have flown and completed these mission on my computer before I uploading the mission to AVSIM for other to enjoy.
</p>

<p>
	The key word here is "enjoy"
</p>

<p>
	If you cannot run the mission then you can not enjoy it.
</p>

<p>
	Please be patient with me as I do make mistakes when putting the files into a folder to be uploaded.
</p>

<p>
	I sometime make changes while flying the mission and sometime forget to copy these changes to the upload folder.
</p>

<p>
	I currently am having problems with the Maine Mission. I have a use who cannot get it run and therefore is not enjoying this mission.
</p>

<p>
	He sent me an email me to let me know that the mission is not working due to a flight plan that some how ended up in the mission flt file.
</p>

<p>
	This is a flight plan that I made during the mission and some got into the mission folder. The flight plan of course is in my computer and not uploaded to the upload folder. This was not planned on my part for the mission to have a flight plan. I was able to remove the flight plan from the mission flt file and from my computer. The mission loads for me without the flight plan so I email the use a copy of the new flt file to replace the one in his mission folder. He still had no joy.
</p>

<p>
	I am not happy with this as I do not want others not to enjoy these missions.
</p>

<p>
	As of this date I am still working on a solution. I will needed to completely remove all file related to these mission from my computer and reinstall the Maine mission from AVISM to find the error.
</p>

<p>
	So you ask, why do I need your help.
</p>

<p>
	Well if you have flown these missions, please let me know;
</p>

<p>
	What system are you using?
</p>

<p>
	What version are you using?
</p>

<p>
	Did it start up okay?
</p>

<p>
	Was anything missing in the mission?
</p>

<p>
	Where you able to complete the mission?
</p>

<p>
	Did you get a reward at the end of the mission?
</p>

<p>
	If your mission is not starting properly. PLEASE EMAIL ME. ASAP.
</p>

<p>
	The sooner I know of a problem the sooner I can fix it.
</p>

<p>
	If a fix is required, I will upload either with the next mission upload or with a fix upload if requested.
</p>

<p>
	Thank You
</p>

<p>
	Dave

<p>
	I am in the process of making several missions on the Appalachian Trail called "Appalachian Trail Adventure  "
</p>

<p>
	I will be working on each state the trail goes through. I started the missions in Connecticut, my home state, and the first state me and my wife hiked.
</p>

<p>
	We have been hiking the Appalachian Trail since 2006 (we are 56 years old) and section hike the trail during my vacations. We have finished everything from Pennsylvania to Maine.
</p>

<p>
	As of this writing this I have completed this adventure from Connecticut to my newest release, New Hampshire.
</p>

<p>
	When the Maine mission is released around the end of August or September (dependent on how time I have to work on it), I will be picking up the missions starting with New York heading north on the trail and continue south until Georgia, the completion of these missions. Although it may not be the completion of our hiking the entire trail.
</p>

<p>
	I had released two versions; A auto- install and a manual install (MI). A virus had got into my computer and I lost the Auto install program. I did not realize that the program that I had downloaded was a registered version and that it required a password to unlock. (I lost the password) As a result the auto install versions of my mission is not registered and will not install the mission on your computer. I have asked avsim to delete these uploads from their library, I now only upload one version, the manual installation one.
</p>

<p>
	Please post and comments or problems here or send me an e-mail. I will try to fix the problem as fast as I can.
</p>

<p>
	I am not perfect and I will make mistakes. I fly the mission after completing it on my computer but sometimes I may not transfer all the files correctly to the upload folder as I am working on it and making changes to the mission during the testing process. Please be patient with me.
</p>

<p>
	Thank you

<p>
	I am new to P3D (v.4).  I looked in the forums for this topic and I did not find it, I'm guessing that I didn't have the correct search criteria entered, but here is my question.
</p>

<p>
	When I take a screen Capture, "V", it only seems to capture the main viewing screen.  If I have alternate views defined, I can not seemed to find nor figure out what I can do to capture those images.  Is it possible with P3D?  If not, are there alternate solutions to my issue?
</p>

<p>
	I am currently running two monitors, and I have a View Group Defined (within <em>View Group Management</em>) that spans the "main view" across both of my monitors.  I love that!  But when I take a screen capture only the content of monitor 1 is captured.  I would love to get the contents of both monitors in my screen shots.  Or if I create a new view, is it possible to screen capture those images?  I know about screen stretching and that does work, but  the images are highly distorted for my tastes.  Any help is greatly appreciated.  Thanks in advance.

	Please except my apology. After testing the New York mission I found some items that I needed to add. I added them but forgot to transfer them to my upload folder.
</p>

<p>
	Thankfully someone sent me an email to let me know that the he did not get a reward at the end of the mission.
</p>

<p>
	These items have just been uploaded.
</p>

<p>
	Please let me know of any problems with these missions.
</p>

<p>
	Thank You
</p>

<p>
	Dave

	The PFD  is the only screen that does not expand to a larger screen in the PMDG B737NG with the P3DV4...It did expand when I was using FSX....So, why not now?

	Has anyone tried this new mission (AVSIM library) ? It doesn't work for me again. Goal is to switch from plane to heli-(EH 101)--
</p>

<p>
	but mission starts only as freefligt--no comments. In XML-file I missed EH101 as OBJECT-entry--can it work anyway?

<p>
	After absolving some Trail-missions this one doesn't work. Missionfolder is only named "Mission" and FSX can't find it.
</p>

<p>
	Folder-renaming---no way. I tried to contact the author (*******@juno.com)---also maildomain!<img alt=":sad:" data-emoticon="" height="20" src="https://www.avsim.com/applications/core/interface/js/spacer.png" srcset="//bucket-classabb4b6de-f0f3-41fc-b42f-e9776c8572d8.avsim.com/emoticons/sad@2x.png 2x" title=":sad:" width="20" data-src="//bucket-classabb4b6de-f0f3-41fc-b42f-e9776c8572d8.avsim.com/emoticons/sad.png"></p>

	No idea about difference to other addons.

<p>
	I googled and found a FSAddon PDF titled "FSX Mission Editor." I then enabled the Object Placement tool for my FSX:SE install, by following the instructions in the fsxsdk.chm file found in the SDK folder; major pain because Active Sky had a hissy-fit over it being enabled and even crashed FSX, which I resolved by doing some voodoo cut-&amp;-pasting in my DLL.XML. Anyhow, that Mission Editor PDF discusses using a Mission Creation wizard that is no where to be found in the Object Placement tool I have. As well, the whole look of the Mission Creation tool in the PDF is very different than what I have installed and even has a menu bar which mine doesn't. That PDF also mentions running a Setup.exe to install the Mission Creation tool which is now where to be found in my FSX folders.
</p>

<p>
	I had earlier installed the Prepar3D SDK v1.4, as I wanted to have the ImageTool. Located in its \docs\Mission Creation Kit\ folder is a "Mission Creation.html" doc that has instructions and illustration that match the Object Placement tool I have installed. So it looks like what I have at least aligns with what was included in the early edition of the Prepar3D SDK.
</p>

<p>
	So I'm wondering if the Mission Creation wizard was something that was phased out for the later editions of FSX?<br />
	Or is it still usable for FSX:SE and available for download on some website?

	Hi, I purchased a bush pilot add-on from Rolling Cumulus, and my destination airport, which is a real airport in Bolivia, (Flor De Oro Airport (SLFO) ), seems to not be in the database of FSX_SE. Maybe it was supposed to be added within the uploading of the add-on &amp; I didn't load the files right, but either way it should still be in the main data files of FSX, right?
