FSX | P3D Missions Forum - How To

I was reading a thread on another forum where some one explains how to "make a mission give you a reward such as FSX acceleration beta badge. It says to load the mission XML into FSX mission editor. But when I go to copy the grant reward node it says no xml on clipboard, have anyone had this problem and know what to do??

Another problem - Several, not all of the helicopter missions will load initially but when I click fly - the mission starts as a flight with no instructions etc. If I hit ESC, I get the usual End Flight screen as opposed to the End Mission screen. ALL the aircraft flights worek fine just a few of the helo missions.Strange - Vic

Hello folks, I know from past forums you're all a helpful lot out there, please aid a newbie.I am running FSX on Windows 7 and I am having trouble with the file path for DLL.XML.The folder Ipresume it goes into will be the one holding the FSX config file etc., in my case C:\Users\<username>\Appdata\Roaming\Microsoft\FSXand the object placement kit is in C:\ Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\I am not sure how these tally with the default path of "..\Microsoft Flight Simulator X SDK\SDK\Mission Creation Kit\object_placement.dll" as shown in the xml file.I've tried various modifications - adding ..\ etc to the path …

I am having issues with the LNAV function on the PMDG 747, it seems like it's having a hard time maintaining a straight line following the planned route on the FMC. It starts to swerve to one side, and then overcompensates to the other, until my roll is almost 90 degrees. It seems to only happen when I fly in or out of Malpensa (Milan) which is a shame because that's one of my favourite airports.Any ideas folks?

How Do I get the Engine to restart? I get to 6000 no problem in spiral. I try to restart engine number 1...N1 gets to 13.3 and doesn't go any further?I am pretty much a rookie with planes so I am probably doing something wrong?I have used Ctrl-e and the engine pop up panel to try to restart with no luck.If I get the engine to restart I think I can land no problems.Uly

This problem gives me a huge headache.I have a FSX setup containing the following: Saitek yoke (yoke and throttle) Logitech G940 Flight System (stick, throttle and rudder pedals) A full GoFlight set (radios, several switches and a TQ6 throttle quadrant) I use the proprietary GoFlight software to configure the controls externally. Therefore i must delete ALL the axis and button assignments within FSX. I'm thinking about getting some mission software, instant mission maker from Flight1my question is; could a person put together several missions for there pilots of a VA? where it would give a number or code at the end of a flight. nothing fancy, just a straight flight etc. thanks

Hello ...I downloaded and flew Cargo transport to Lonesome Lake Hut today ... using TILE PROXY:As you can see from this last picture I managed to land in the small lake ... BUT ... in TILE PROXY I guess the lake is too small to allow water so it's now a dry lake. I shut down the engine and walked over to the people on the dock! I had to end the mission there since we were stuck on the lake-bed :)Perhaps I'll try again tomorrow without TILE PROXY ...Chris

I'm having problems with the FSX Deluxe Austrian Alpine Soaring Mission. I complete the course (hardly any record breaking time) and land right on the runway, yet the lady says "Welcome back" followed almost immediately by a mission failure and a message from the lady "we see from telemetry that you've landed out...". I'm sure I'm at the right airport since it registers a finish time and I land right next to the mission compass arrow.I searched the forums and found one thread on this, however it doesn't seem anyone found a solution. In missions I can make objects of type GroundVehicle and Boat move around, but not the type SimpleObject.Making an object of type SimpleObject to either GroundVehicle or Boat will not do the trick, as it is not possible to hoist objects of type GroundVehicle and Boat.Anyone have a solution for this?

Does it exist a "mission pack" which "emulates" the old glory "Solo Flight" for Commodore 64? :-)I mean, a mission where you're in charge to delivery packages among different airports.If not, where should I start from to build such a mission? And would an FSX mission be compatible with FS2004?

Hi All,I am working a mission in FSXAcc and have downloaded the Weapons pack, by Chris Sykes and others. After days of troubleshooting to determine the cause of FSX Fatal Error, (fe.dll); I finally determined the crash occurs ONLY if I fire the missle...tried Agm-88c, 12-c, and Sky Flash and all cause a failure. When I substitute bomb_c, I experience no failure! The failure is predictable as it always occurs about 4 minutes after missle firing. Have tried alternate routes, but same result. I slew to a different area, but get same results!I am running Win7 with 4 gigs of memory and a dual core cpu. I have tried running in XP mode, Vista mode, as well as Win7, but all…

I'm relatively new at this so plz be patient. I am trying to set up a KC 135 tanker with refueling boom so that it will be at steady state so I can find it and refuel with the f18 from acceleration. I have downloaded all the bits and gauges and the tanker itself off the net but can't for the life of me figure out a way to set the tanker aflight on a path so I can find it. I suspect it has to be made an AI flight but don't know how to do it :( .Any help is greatly appreciated.Alex C

I do no fly missions very often, but recently, I noticed that do not see the catagory list when I go to the Mission box. I do see all of the installed missions in the dropdown box below what should the Categories....It's just a minor little thing, but if possible I'd like to get things back to the way they are...any suggestions are welcome. Ok, I'm striving with the apple delivery mission.After getting to the first two air strips, my buddy says to pass over the mountains to get to the third one, so I set autopilot to get to 6000ft (700ft/min VS) full throttle.When the plane climbs through about 5000ft, it starts bleeding speed, manifold pressure drops to 0 and it drops into the ground like a brick.I tried playing with fuel pumps, cowl flaps, mixture settings, but I don't seem to get anywhere.Anybody can help?Tnx!!

Okay, so I loaded FSX Gold with the acceleration and everything works great except, I cannot get the missions to the briefing point before the program goes in a restart mode because of a problem such as not responding. Anybody else have this happen?

Hi guys, new to these forums and fairly new to the Flight Simulations. Currently using an older Logitech Wingman Force Feedback joystick, which works pretty good, but one day i'de like to get a proper setup to have a better experience :), but at the moment, a couple things I'm hoping you experts could shed some light on;I'm doing the Monsoon mission of FSX, but towards the last corner before the approach, it goes off couse. Basically as the mission starts, I leave the plane in Autopilot mode and just adjust the bobs whenever Tower tells me to (ie, drop to 6000ft, turn right heading 215' ect..).I get to the last corner, I get told over the radio (and copilot) to turn left …

Are you all finding that after you arrive at the coordinates, that the next voice commands say "There is the road down there" (I see dozens of roads). Then it says "fly up this mountain" (well there is a whole mountain range here) ?

I have a small mission that I had made in Instant Mission Maker. I flew the mission. I changed a few things in the xml using FSX Mission Editor, checked for errors, saved it and now it does not show up in the FSX mission list ?The .flt and .wx and .xml files all exist. What are the all the possible reasons for a mission not showing up in FSX ?

Ok, so after completing the avalanche portion, I can find the injured climber but can't seem to rescue him. I hover over him for about 20 seconds but nothing happened. I tried lowering the hoist cable yet there was no animation showing it dropping. What am I missing here??Jim
