I googled and found a FSAddon PDF titled "FSX Mission Editor." I then enabled the Object Placement tool for my FSX:SE install, by following the instructions in the fsxsdk.chm file found in the SDK folder; major pain because Active Sky had a hissy-fit over it being enabled and even crashed FSX, which I resolved by doing some voodoo cut-&-pasting in my DLL.XML. Anyhow, that Mission Editor PDF discusses using a Mission Creation wizard that is no where to be found in the Object Placement tool I have. As well, the whole look of the Mission Creation tool in the PDF is very different than what I have installed and even has a menu bar which mine doesn't. That PDF also mention…

Hi, I purchased a bush pilot add-on from Rolling Cumulus, and my destination airport, which is a real airport in Bolivia, (Flor De Oro Airport (SLFO) ), seems to not be in the database of FSX_SE. Maybe it was supposed to be added within the uploading of the add-on & I didn't load the files right, but either way it should still be in the main data files of FSX, right?

Need a refresher. I am desiring to Delete the Panel State of some flights. Can anyone give me the path to find the files. Haven't done it in quite awhile, getting rusty. Thanks

Hi all so I was wondering others experience with mission add-ons, especially bush flying ones. I've done all the ones available on the official Steam store, which isn't many. I've done a couple from a sim store, Air Alaska, etc, but just tried my 2nd add-on from "Rolling Cumulus", and no good. Tried many times to activate it, deleted & reloaded 3 times, & no good. It corrupted some files, well, was probably me trying so many ways to activate it that corrupted it, luckily I fixed it, but was a mess. I have a 3 monitor new Alienware geared up just for flight sim. Air Alaska was cool, official Steam "Treasure Hunt" was good. Have A2A software on a 17…

I'm not sure if this is the correct place to post this, but move it if necessary. How could I copy the missions from FSX to P3D? I really like the missions in FSX, but they are not in Prepar3D. Thanks in advance.

So, was just curious, I luv missions, especially bush flying, did all the defaults, there's barely any in official FSX-SE store, so was wondering, on the various different sim stores that sell missions, is there a preferred company that's best? I know for aircraft there's A2A I think it is, I have a 172 from them and its amazing, but what about missions, anyone in particular? Thanks.

Hi uh I am unable to find the guy in the Missing Coworker mission in FSX. I found some floating fire, but that's it... There's nothing under it... Is there a way to fix this? :(

Hi, can someone please help. Ive done all the official mission add-ons that are offered on the official FSX Steam store, so I went elsewhere, I purchased a download called "Deluxe Bush Flying Christmas Bundle" from a site called PC Aviator. It had only 3, what sounded simple, activating instructions. The default aircraft the program wanted to use I couldn't find so purchased the closest thing to it on official FSX page & figured out how to make that the aircraft to use, so that part is good. i have recently reinstalled fsx steam and after hours of punting back my various add on such as paid for aircraft, ai aircraft etc, i come to fly some default missions but most are not there, although they seem to be all in the missions folder as expected, any ideas on how to fix, also the rewards page is blank.

HI Folks, I was flying my "Resort" mission to try out my new GTX 1070 card, (which is doing a great job), and when my copilot started spotting the F16s that were supposed to be flying by, I realized they were not visible and they were silent too! Not even a contrail and I remember that I could always hear the sound of the jets flying by but now they were entirely inaudible as well! The Aleutian cargo run mission - has anyone been able to chase the Russian Ekranoplan - the Caspian Sea Monster - that makes an appearance after the mail drop off? I've done this mission loads of times and only caught a glimpse of it twice. Anyone had better luck?

Hello, I have made a mission for MS-FSX Acceleration. It is an adventure in the north of germany and ended up in London. It is my first mission and I am not shure that it will work on any fsx installation environement. I would be glad, if someone has the nervs to make a beta testing on my mission and give a feedback on how it works (or not). I don't use any comercial extensions in my FSX. Hi, I have programmed the FMC on a PMDG 737NGX-800 to fly from Phoenix to Las Vegas. Next I had a problem with VNAV disconnecting shortly after take-off (it would arm on the ground). I checked that the cruise page was executed, all looks normal I guess. I than checked the vertical profile and noticed the flat horizontal line, with no climb or descent. The Autopilot will engage ALTHLD in the FMA pitch mode. Any ideas out there. I am trying to do the Baltic sea rescue mission. I changed the aircraft to the aerosoft Seahawk and when I try to hoist up the victims they won't grab the hoist. When I use the hover approach setting the helo is at about 100 feet but the hoist isn't long enough so I manually did the hover and the hoist was perfect yet they wouldn't grab on. I have watched videos of people grabbing them with the default EH01 that aren't even in a steady hover. Has anybody else had this issue?

How can a sea plane " backup"?

I recently decided to update from my trusty FSX to the Steam Edition because of the opportunity for improvements and support that getting onto the Steam platform would mean and that a lot of people were enthusiastically endorsing. I expected, because of my Triple Monitor situation, that I would have to redo a number of previous customizations to 2D panels, mostly consisting of inserting window size and position attributes into each panel to get them to scale properly. I did about half my aircraft inventory using free flight mode to test the changes which all came out pretty well in Free Flight. All of a sudden, I am unable to save missions. This iis espeically unwelcome when I suspect I'm going to blow an approach and want to save just before I do it.I go through the procedure and assign a name to the mission to be saved and the program appears to accept it. but when I do blow it and have to stop there, the "saved" mission doesn't appear when I want to load it.All the adventures I've purchsed are available. Anyone got a clue?.

When I try to open a Mission I get an 'Aircraft Initialization Failure' message. The Mission continues but opens with the default Trike as the aircraft. How do I fix ? I'm running FSX in Windows 7. Thanks, Jack

Some of the missions created with the Instant Mission Maker (IMM) can't be saved underway (or rather, they save as Free Flights, which is not helpful). Is there anyone out there who knows a way to modify these missions (for instance the FSX Simcopter missions on this site, so that they can be saved properly? It is infuriating to fly around for an hour or so, and then make a mistake and have to start from square one again! Cheers, eskil

Hello! I'm having a problem in my FSX. When I fly a misson, the compass isn't there. I always flew mission, but now I can't. This happened after a reinstallation. I pressed U and checked the General settings, but it's OK, I just can't see the compass! I deleted the fsx.cfg file too, but nothing changed! Please someone help me, I love missions and I can't fly them without the Mission Compass! And I can ee the Mission Pointer, but it's hard to see in some missions!

I am interested in creating my first mission. I was thinking about something down the lines of creating a ship at sea in distress or a boat flipped over like the basic fsx mission and use my C130 to locate then fly back to base and fly my coast guard helo to rescue the boat. Is there a possibility or no? I would like to not put a direct point from A to B. More like a search for the boat in the vacinity. Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

I get to the airport where you have to pick-up the Maule, but when I land, I can't seem to find the Maule. Where did you guys find the Maule?Ta.
