FSX | P3D Missions Forum - How To

Is there any sort of group here, or somewhere else where members contribute their voice to others' missions by reading lines from scripts? Or, is anyone interested in setting up something like that? I'm getting tired of trying to make my voice sound different, to play all the different actors in my missions (especially female voices). Comes off mediocre. :rolleyes:

Hello After having FSX for a few months and flying around I thought I would try out some of the included missions and I have a couple of questions that I hope someone can answer for me, I am using Ultimate Traffic 2 and notice that the missions still include the default AI traffic such as Orbit despite the sliders in FSX being set to zero, is this normal? I'm also trying out the Rome to Naples run mission and I am sure when I first installed FSX this took place in the day time but now find its at night, does anyone know why this is the case? I have tried looking in the settings but cannot see If i have changed something I shouldn't have. Many thanks Dar…

according to the sim connect sample to start a engine it is INPUT_1, "Ctrl+E", EVENT_1 so I have this and everything works except the last entry to start the engine. I've flown the rhino rescue mission several times only to have to abort it at the DC3. No matter where I land the helo in the temporary helipad behind the DC3, nothing happens.. I just sit in the helo and wish something would. What is the secret for getting me out of the helo and into the cockpit of the DC3? Thanks. Dewey

Hey guys. I was just wondering in the fsx acceleration red bull air races, do you get any rewards? I think you don't but then I saw this: http://www.simtours.net/rewards.php?flight=acceleration&type=trophy When you scroll down you see a bunch of trophies that appear to be from the red bull race missions. So do you get or not get any rewards in the red bull air race series? Thanx!

I've always been a huge admirer of Amelia Earhart, and I was thinking, what if someone came up with a mission or flightplan that would allow a pilot to retrace her flight in FSX? Anyone think people might be interested in this? If so, I will redo the flight plan I used to have of this flight and post it in the library. :Whistle: :biggrin:

Hi Forgive me if this has already been addressed but I've searched and can't find an answer I'm pretty new to FSX and have progressed to Tutorial 8 without too much trouble. Now I'm having a throttle issue with the jet (CRJ700) The N1 thrust never seems to reach the lower limits that I set ,staying at a minimum of around 44% On approach to Glasgow, I'm told to throttle to idle and descend, using approx 7 deg dive to keep speed to 210 kts. As my engines don't drop below 40%, I can't easily achieve 210 kts, then i'm told to decrease speed more and there's nothing to do except nose up. I posted this message in FSX forum, but seems to have disappeared with no replies (just like my missions :-), New computer, new install of FSX on a separate HDD, missions in Missions folder, but they do not appear in my FSX missions dropbox. Googled this problem andI tried removing them and repairing FSX from disc, copying missions from old computer, removing **Missions.xml from new computer before repair, copied old .xml files over, etc. but still no missions. Is there a problem with missions having FSX in a separate HDD (I would think not) ? Also, if I copied the mission files from the old computer (FSX in C:\Program Files) - is that a problem, since new ins…

I have tried four PCs now - all running FSX-SP2 Acceleration - and I always have problems finding "Flight Video" recordings (FSR format) being corrupted (I like to use 1/4 second option but have tried one second - same problem) - either no flight motion at all or super sped up (maybe 8X or so). If I start my recording as the default flight start point, I can get a single recording file to be OK but any more after that are usually corrupted. I need these FSR format files to add complex moving aircraft - especially helicopters - to a mission. I just recently, after about four months, tried a mission in FSX and had a CTD. This is the sequence of events; Step 1; chose a mission and went to briefing page. Step 2; Chose a default mission and clicked "Fly". Step 3; Mission loaded showing textures and in "Pause Mode" Step 4; Pressed the "P" key to take out of Pause and FSX immediately Crashes to desktop. I reverted back to the default fsx.cfg file with no luck and still crashed. Step5; reset all settings inside FSX.CFG to default settings and still CTD. I am trying to install Wilco's Aviation & Missions addon but having no luck. I get the following message "Cannot install this program, please install 737 Pilot in Command for FSX first" Both FSX and Wilco's 737 PIC are installed and working perfectly I have adjusted the path for installation to support the Windows 7 install path pointing to Microsoft Flight Simulatir X, but still no luck. Hello all! I'm new to FSX, so i'm still learning how to do things. Lots of add-ons to install, lots of aircraft to test. During my "research", I found that you can buy new fighter aircraft from some developers. I understand that they are fully functional, I maean, you can drop bombs et all. (RAZBAM & IRIS). I also saw that there are missions to download, for those specific fighters. My question is: How do those missions work? Are they like the FSX default missions? Just created a route for FSX that's very scenic and meant for pilotable ships that goes from one of the Alaskan harbors in the Aleutians to Dutch Harbor. Now I know that this isn't Ship Simulator or anything like that, but I thought it would be something interesting, since I've never been there and love watching Deadliest Catch. So, what would people here think of a mission that required a ship to transport a helicopter from one of the harbors to Dutch and then have the pilot transferred to a helo? is that even possible? Keep in mind, as I don't have the SDK running or instant mission creator available due to lack of funds, this is something that is going to have to wait…

I would like a mission where you get to tow a banner allow the player to: be able to write a custom message on it.. pick it up as in real life ... model the drag on the plane, etc. I'd be willing to pay some money for this one.

Is anybody interested in an add-on for FSX to allow hunts for Aerocaches in the same style as for FLIGHT?

I remember that sometime ago there was a flightsimulator mission with actual ATC clearance etc. from Milano to Amsterdam with a default FSX B737. I have been looking everywhere with no results. Hello, I was wondering if someone could assist me with the following issue. The issue I am having is that FSX for some reason is not setting my customized weather settings. I click the individual weather station and set my desired settings, however when I move to the weather station (airport) and set a weather for it, the settings for the first station return to the default settings. The issue occurs if I use the weather themes in FSX or the Real-World weather feature in FSX. Honestly, I don't know what else to do... It's been almost 2 years since I have installed the FSX SDK for creating missions. For some reason it is not working. I think part of it has to do with the path since I have a Windows 64 bit but I am also confused about the other items to be installed. I am reading the FS Developer wiki but it's not sinking in for seom reason. I have done this before and it took me awhile that time too. Any help appreciated. Do I have to install additional files from Microsoft? I suspect that (through my messing around) one or more of my default FSX Accelerator missions has become corrupted. It worked previously, but no longer. Is there a way to restore them without reinstalling the entire program? I checked the install disks, but could not identify the missions there. Also, how can I convert a mission from multi-player to single player, so that I can use the pause function?
