Good morning, I downloaded Get the Bogey mission a couple weeks ago. It features two F/A 18's sitting on a carrier deck. After launch you have to catch up to your wingman and fly to intercept an unknown aircraft. You then have to escort it to a runway and then attempt inflight refueling. Has anyone else tried this mission? You can find it on flyawaysimulations.com/downloads/files/6111/fsx-get-the-bogey-mission It starts off with Danger Zone - song from Top Gun. Looks pretty good, but I keep failing early in the mission. I can't seem to get past the first step. I never get clearance to go after the 'bogey'. I'm assuming it is the 747 that appears. Does anyone out there know if missions (so far extremely few; all payware) created for FSX STEAM will work with the "old" FSX (Acceleration version)? I know that STEAM got rid of a lot of bugs and made the programme faster, but are the missions still written as .XML or .SPB files, and do they contain new commands that the old FSX doesn't understand? When I mount the FSX DVD #1, the installation screen pops up seeking permission to make changes in my computer. All I want to do is browse the disk so I select no and cancel the install shield. When I open Windows Explorer, I see the SDK folder but when I click it to open it, the computer seems to be searching the disk and it doesn't stop. My system is 64-bit Windows 7. It does this with the Acceleration DVD, too. Any and all help will be appreciated.

I've finally gotten SDK installed and started creating a mission. I can't figure out how to launch the mission compass and guide the pilot to a particular waypoint. I want to direct a pilot to an airstrip and descend to cross the strip rather than land on it (to check if the runway is clear of planes, bears, deer, etc.). I wonder if the Area Definition box is the way to go ... I'd like to have the dialog action occur a couple of NM from the strip. Thanks! I'm trying to open a mission's .rwd file/convert it into a viewable image. I tried running the rather old FSX Mission Rewards Decompile Utility, but I get an error message that states the app cannot run because "its side-by-side configuration is incorrect". I'm using Windows 8.1 64-bit, and uninstalling/reinstalling the latest C+++ redistributals had no effect. Is there another way to open and view .rwd files?

Can anyone suggest a good payware mission maker and say why they feel it is good ? Thanks

I found that while trying to do missions, they were coming up in the dark instead of daylight. After finding that none of the suggested fixes worked, I went in to FSUIPC and unchecked the "Sync to System" time. Apparently, FSUIPC messes with Missions as well as free flight. Daylight missions are now responding correctly.

Is there anyone that can give me the Oregon Ablaze Mission that works or tell me how to get it to start? Please!

Hey guys,I downloaded Just Flight's Rescue Pilot for FSX but when I select a mission I get a error message "Aircraft Initialization Failure. JFPerson RP." I re-installed the mission pack,re-installed FSX but nothing's worked so far. I saw a thread saying you must go to FSX/Settings/Scenery Library/Add Area and go to C:/Program files/Fsx/Just flight/Rescue Pilot/Scene/Scenery but according to fsx that folder is empty although there are files. Does anyone know how to solve this problem?I really want to fly these missions! Thank you in advance.

I've done this mission twice and haven't been able to get any farther than turning on taxi way d. It won't end when I get to the green arrows or go to what ever comes next when I turn off the runway. HELP ME!!

I did a full backup of my FSX folders, and then I successfully re-installed FSX and all of my Addons, all I need is to restore my completed missions. Thanks, Nathan

I have installed Microsoft Acceleration version 10.0.61637.0 and the Microsoft Acceleration SDK version 10.0.61637.0 on my computer. I am able to use Airport Design Editor without a problem and I installed the SKDs according to all the installation guides online. I have FSX running on my i drive and the sdk is on the c drive I am not sure if that is causing an issue. I however do not have the tools menu displayed. I have done all the suggested items i could find on the forums and it is not working for me.

Hi guys, I have a big problem. It doesn't matter which mission I load my Co-Pilot, The Mission compass etc is missing! FSX loads the right aircraft and the right position, but besides from this nothing happens. I can fly like in free flight and thats it. With JF Rescue pilots for example Im standing on the tarmac but there are no planes to walk to. What is the problem? I haven't changed anything!

As a real newbie, I really appreciate and enjoy the free missions available for download and kudos to the kind folks who created them. However, some are beyond my navigation skill at this time without an included flight plan in the GPS. Thankfully, some authors would include a cheat sheet with waypoints in longitude and latitude coordinates in a separate document. The problem is a newbie like me have a hard time finding info on how to enter these into the mission without losing the reward (like clicking the Enable changes to the mission ...and creating a flight plan). Hi all, I'm running FSX, ORBX Global, REX and Ezdok. All terrain has a strange blue translucent cover over it like in the image attached. The terrain gets this strange blur/blue-grey cover even at fairly low altitudes. 3000ft in the picture. Any ideas? Thanks

I recently bought the QW757 but found it to be a bit to simplified for my taste (nothing like their 146 collection), so I went over to Captain Sim's website, and downloaded the free demo for the 757 although the demo was very limited it was enough to spark my interest; the systems simulation on the CS are way more deeper than what QW has to offer, my only gripe about the CS is I noticed it only has the classic/standard panel's, I tried looking for screenshots but found none, so can anyone tell me if the CS has a retrofit panel available. Hi all, I have got my screen resolution correct in free flight but when I go on one of the mission's it displays incorrectly. I did a Google search but found no fixes for this problem, I'm hoping there is one. My cfg has the wide screen true in it & 1920 x 1080. anyone solved this one yet. Thanks.

Sorry if this was posted before. I just completed the mission, the controller asks something like "Tell me if you need any assistance." Then a message pops out telling me that the mission failed. Then I checked and found that the mission wasn't completed, and there weren't any awards for this mission.
