I land at the river with the snake statues and nothing happens. Any ideas? The woman talks about a lake. Do I have to land at some sort of a lake first? Is there a particular place I have to stop at? There is no mission pointer (the green vertical thing) so I don't know where to stop exactly.Thanks

After gaining height the aircraft loses power some while after takeoff.I've set the mixture to lean, the pitot heat is on but I can't think of anything else to solve the problem.Any idea please?Cliff

I have tried to land at the airport but when the plane touches the runway, the plane just doesnt register the landing. The ground is not solid so my plane just "sinks" into the ground and then it says "crash". :-mad Thanks in advance,qwerty_fsx

HiI am creating a mission in a wild place with no near airports. I would like to create a rural runway as a mission object and put it in the place I want. I dont want a real airport but a single flat place with no autogen obstacles and a single strip grass or gravel runway. Default scenery has any flat zones too small for a secure landing. I downoaded the Lost In The Snow mission available at avsim and it looks interesting but it is different form other missions I have downloaded:-eek . How do I install it?:-zhelp

I'm working on a mission where you have to land next to a downed plane in the snow, then taxi over to it. I've created an area, and associated a landing area trigger with it. I've made sure the area is tall enough so that it sticks up above and below the ground. But it never registers the landing, unless I slaw into the plane in the centre of the area. Otherwise, the trigger never fires.Any ideas what could be causing this? Or how to fix it?

Just for kicks if you want some excitement try landing at the AK23 strip after you land at Dutch Harbor. You will have to fly to AK23 using the GPS for direction as there is no terminal information available info at the NACO site covering this air strip. There likely is info in the DOD terminal info sets if you have access to them now.If you try it GOOD LUCK! Believe me you will need it to make the landing the first time around in the weather generated during the Dutch Harbor NDB and precision turn approach.AK23 is close to Dutch Harbor so it's only a few minutes more added to the original mission. Note there is no lighting at AK23 so you will need be on your toes.Monty

I have found many errors in the mission I uploaded. SORRY. When I made the mission I had made two files, one inside the FSX and the other in my documents upload folder. The upload folder held all the documents needed for the mission, such as the maps and the breifing doc. As I made changes in the mission I would save it in the FSX folder, however when I completed it I had forgot to replace the mission XML file in the upload file. When problems were brought to my attention I installed the upload version into my FSX mission folder and discovered the mistake. I am currently fixing the mistakes and have decreased the file size to about 23mb. It should be ready to upload by th…

Anyone have any tips for how to and and stop at the medical camp in the Denali mission? I've tried about 10 times and can't seem to stop sliding even though I come uphill.It's complicated by the fact that after I land FSX draws my plane IN the mountain, which makes it nearly impossible to see what's going on. The plane's tail, for example, is through into the mountain. Sometimes the whole plane is inside and it looks like everything is upside down :(Neil

Hello I am flying FSX Civil Air Patrol Search (CAP) mission. I land and rescue lost pilot. I take off sucesfull. After take off I discover the Maule incline to the left and I am to continuosly correct tendency with aileron right. I can not imagine what happens and how to correct this plane actitude. Alright... So I made it up to the base camp easily enough, but when I opt to try and pick up the injured climber I find the plane just downright underpowered. I'm supposed to fly up to 15000 feet, and I can't get it above 10,500. Is there something I'm missing here? I know the air is thin up here and it's hard to get lift. I fly full throttle, rich mix, prop at 100% (What's that for anyhow? I assume it's prop angle but which way is which? 100% is sharp angle and 0 is flat/feathered?)Flaps up, and maintaining a very gentle rate of climb, perhaps 100 feet per minute. But I just can't get up there... What the heck?

Alright... Call me silly, but I'm having a hard time finding a 4th flock of sheep to fly over. I found three pretty easily...1: Nestled in the trees directly ahead after take-off2: Immediately southwest of one of the barns3: Near the roadway on the way to the airport4: ???You'd think sheep wouldn't be hard to find... Hi all,I'm playing with two missions of my own right now, but I can't get the darn things to grant the rewards! How do you do that? I have the grantreward action linked to the landing area, have the GUID for the reward in the RewardRef spot, and another random GUID in the InstanceId.The only thing I can think of is that I've already completed the mission more than once, so maybe is won't give me the reward, any help?

HiI got an add-on from someone I will not mentionAt the end of the mission, it did not stop so I opted out by going to alt/FLight/"end of light" and from the pop-up that was then given me for missions; selected "END MISSION"However it remained "on a mission" and trying start free flight at the same loaction did not stop the mission; only by loading another situation did the mission stop from being active.Is the add-on at fault or is this a limitation of FSX?? or me :-)Allen

I am building a mission which has a soundtrack of about 30 songs in it. The problem is, no matter what I do, I cannot get the Playlist Action to work! Everytime I add a playlist, the mission no longer loads. Take out the playlist and the mission loads fine.I have already checked that the files are in the correct format and they do work when used with the Oneshotsound action BUT NOT with the playlist action.This makes absolutely no sense and I have scoured the Net just to discover that very few if any people have used the Playlist action yet in a mission.Does anyone know how to make the Playlist Action actually work? Please help me. I'm trying to get started learning to create missions. At the beginning everything goes great. Then as I add more items, all of a sudden, it's no longer recognized as being a mission!The mission will still appear in the missions list, but when I go into it, non of the actions/triggers/etc work. If I hit Esc, instead of showing me the End Mission screen, it will show me the End Flight screen. What can I be doing wrong?EDIT - with a little experimenting, it seems to happen when I add a proximity trigger. If I delete that, the mission works again.

I have already created one very complicated mission with no problems. I just started my second mission and right away I have hit a new problem. The Mission Compass that shows up in my new Mission is way too big. It is about twice the size it normally is and fills too much of the screen.I have tried deleting and resetting the POI but still the Mission Compass is too big. It's as if it is in the wrong screen resolution. I.E. My display is 1280x1024 but the Mission Compass looks like it is in 800x600 resolution and way too big. Any ideas what might be causing this and/or how to fix it?

I landed at Lower Loon Creek Airport and it doesn't give me the reward. I have tried reversing on the runway and it still doen't give me the reward. Please help me!!Thanks
