  1. All, Any other Tin Mouse drivers plan on heading to the Hawaiin Islands any time soon ??? I'm in the mood for some serious island hopping.. Honolulu (PHNL), Lihue (PHLI), and Hilo International (PHTO) are now available from FSDreamteam... I plan on picking up Lihu and Hilo this weekend - as I already own Honolulu... They look beautiful... http://www.fsdreamteam.com/products.html I'll be flying the old Tin Mouse in the Aloha Fun Bird retro scheme... One of my favorite paints for the old mouse... Paint and Pix by Jeffery Bryner... Regards,Scott

  2. Yesterday I finally put foot to road and got to work on the FMC modifications I'd been thinking about testing with the Tinmouse II v1.26 panel. Below is a rather extensive post I felt like sharing with the passionate Tinmouse II operators out there who were flying their older B732s, but desired an FMC retrofit for modern RNAV flying (which is more common in today's older B732 cockpits). While the vasFMC mod works, it has a bug that requires a workaround to be followed closely (covered below). The vasFMC team are aware of the bug and will hopefully have it fixed in the next release of the vasFMC gauge pack. If the bug workaround is too much trouble, you can download and …

Hi, Back from a break - I noticed a 1.25 and 1.26 upgrade I haven't used before... Are both models for TM2 contained in the 1.25 upgrade package ??? I can't seem to find the old model packs we had to load... Glad to see this old bird still flying... I recently noticed FSDreamTeam doing a bunch of Hawaiin airports - which I am eagerly awaiting... I'm gonna break out the old mouse in that retro Aloha Funbird paint by J. Bryner for some island hopping...Regards,Scott

Hello guysI currently found the joy off flying the old school planes with the old way off navigating.Got the 732 and wanted to do a flight, but ran into some problems :(.I read that you first have to enter your present position(at the gate) in the POS page off the INS.Well,i can get the N entry in it,but it gives me a red light when trying to input the E co

I level off the aircraft at an altitude, select the aileron and elevator axes on, then select the altitude hold on. The autopilot then immediately runs the trim all the way nose down and the aircraft descends way below the selected altitude. This doesn't happen on the real aircraft. Can anyone tell me what is wrong? Thanks.

Bob,I would greatly appreciate any help provided. I would like to add a landing view bitmap to the TinMouse 732. I cannot simply add it as a "fixed view" as the gauges do not show. I would like to add it as a normal window and access by using a simicon on the main panel. However when I try to do that it messes up the other windows that are with the original panel. Do I need to design a transparent gauge to access the landing view? Are the simicons used to change the windows hard coded for this panel? Thanks.Jason

I have been flying the mouse for just a few days. I was wondering do most of you use the included flight model or do some of you swap out the FFX as well? Which one is the preferred flight model? Right now I am flying just the models that came with the mouse. It flies very nice but I do notice a very nose up attitude in cruise. Flying .72-.74M at FL310. Weight & CG% is whatever came in the model. Any thoughts? Thanks,Pat Callaghan

I recently installed an addon scenery file for Terrace, BC. When I created a flight for Terrace I selected a Canada North TM2 737. When I switched to the main panel view FS2004 immediately crashed. I tried a different TM2 plane thinking that there might be something about the Canada North plane that the Terrace, BC didn't like. FS2002 crashed again. I also tried switching to the Terrace, BC scenery from another airport using a TM2 plane already in the main panel view (after allowing the various secondary panels sequence to finish) but FS crashed immediately after the Terrace, BC scenery loaded. Other aircraft I tried, however, worked fine.Has anyone else encountered…

Morn'n All, Would the Tin Mouse typically use a step climb profile to reach cruise altitude ??? I am using Bob's FSBuild profiles - great piece of work by the way - and - I see FSBuild always uses a direct climb to cruise... Now the Mouse doesn't seem to have any issues getting there - so maybe the real world practice would have you using a direct climb to altitude... As far as a normal climb goes - we should pitch to keep the airspeed on the speedbug setting from the PCDS - correct ??? Well - providing we set the PCDS correctly and have the throttles set accordingly... So we don't reference the VSI at all - just pitch to maintain airspeed - same as in a GA plane ??…

Hello friends,I've installed numerous liveries for the Tinmouse models. The only one that I cant get to work is the SAT livery. All lines are in the config file and the texture folder is in place. It just wont show in the aircraft selection list. Every other livery is listed, has anyone encountered this before? Thanks

During my first TM2 flight, which I previously posted about, I ran into an additional problem beside the issues of the TM2's A/P and using FSNav to fly the TM2 (like a poor man's FMC)I discovered, while attempting to take off from KONT (and again during my repeated attempts to land at KSEA) that I had trouble lowering the flaps. When I used the right hand switch, on my CH USB Yoke, under the throttle lever, to set flaps 5 for takeoff the needle on the flaps gauge began to move to the flaps 5 position, but reversed itself and returned to the full ups position. The same thing happened when I attempted to lower the flaps for landing at KSEA. Also, if I pressed F8 to go to…

Hello my friends.First, let me introduce myself, I'm a 22 year old Private Pilot from Brazil, so my english is not so good like yours.I have installed the latest Tinmouse version recently. I Know well the 737-300, but in the 732 I have some doubts. The first one, I didn't find the classic compass, and the outside temperature gauge in this panel, where is it? because it is essencial to calculate assumed temperature, EPR thrust, etc.Another doubt that I have, is about the trim, When I am approaching to land, and use the trim the aircraft do a jolt movement and is dificult to level off, because the trim is very sensitive, just one touch in the trim is suficient to raise the n…

All, Just my ISGsim Honeywell mouse mods... I added the Honeywell FMC and the EHSI to the center pedestal... I also moved/re-sized many of the panels to make them a bit more conducive to flying and not blocking your view... You must have the PAYWARE ISGsim FMC pack loaded to use... Anyway - feel free to try them out... I couldn't seem to upload any type of text file so just copy and paste the contents of the below quote into your own custom panel.cfg - then make sure you SAVE the original so you can revert back to it...Regards,Scott

Hi All, One more question as per the FAQ: I went to the aircraft config - appended an " ISG" on the end of every title for each paint... I can fly with the ISGsim gauges in LNAV mode - however - the information is not reflected on the HSI... Is there something else I need to do to get the HSI to reflect the IGSsim data ??? I did notice the panel mods did remove the "RAD" button just to the left of then HSI... Do I need this button to make the switch ???Regards,Scott

Hello AllI recently decided I would give the Tin Mouse a try, having heard favourable reports (of its panel in particular.)I have spent some time upgrading the original panel with the newer autopilot.I also have spent some more time adding all my favourite third party gauges.(a slow business,no FS Panel studio only x,y and reload)All seemed fine, but for one thing...... I have Cyborg Jstick programmed with all my favourite sim commands, all these commands work fine but for the brakes(the trigger finger of my joystick) its programmed with the default "."button, but that will just not work.I have tried reinstalling the defaults in"Assignments" and looking at my Saitek stick se…

Today I was descending in my 732 to Childress airport in Northwestern TX, right in to a MAJOR storm. Finally having the opportunity to test the smoother Gyro of the TURB function in the Sperry 77, I flipped the switch.. but I didn't notice a difference. Is the TURB function in the TMII implemented? I honestly couldn't tell..On a side note, when I attempted to make CWS inputs through the yoke while "TURB" was activated, the aircraft did not respond until deactivation (OFF).

Hello, When the autopilot elevator mode is engaged and I want to adjust the pitch using CWS, is it simply a matter of moving my yoke to achieve the desired pitch angle and the autopilot will maintain that pitch? Thanks.J.C.

Hello everyone,I am having a problem with take off power and OAT. Whenever oat is between 23 C - 30 C my T\O EPR only gets up to 1.96. Acceleration and climb is seriously compromised. However with OAT lower than 23 C T\o EPR reaches 2.15. I thought max engine thrust is maintained up to 30 C. Using -17R engines, is this situation normal ? or do I need to fix something. Can anyone help please?

  25. Does anyone know of a manual/tutorial written specifically for the TinMouse 737-200? I just completed a grueling 4 hour flight (KONT to KSEA) that shouldn't have taken much more than half that! This was partly due to the fact that I spend about a half hour circling over KONT trying to figure out how to get the A/P to engage. I finally figured out that the A/P Aileron/Elevator Axis paddles have to be engaged before the A/P itself will engage! To make matters worse, I also discovered as I was making my approach to KSEA that FSNavigator is NOT compatible with the TinMouse (though it is still useful so long as you don't engage it!). It made the throttle unworkable which …
