The TinMouse Support Forum

This is the support forum for the TinMouse II Boeing 737-200 add-on located in the AVSIM Library - TinMouse II Boeing 737-200

  1. This thread is for desired features for the TinMouse II panel--note that this is for the PANEL, and not for model, sound, etc. At present only the panel itself is under continued development.Previous wishlist items have been archived and are being considered.Several realities should be mentioned at the start: the TinMouse II models were graciously donated to the project on an as-is basis, and do not include provisions for a VC. Barring development of a new model, a VC is not possible, nor planned. I am constantly asked about a VC...I intend that this be my last word on the topic until/unless something changes. Because of changes Microsoft made in FSX, the side-views i…

Sorry, folks, the proliferation of so many different possible configurations is getting a bit much to manage...unfortunately some errors ended up in the included v1.40 panel.cfg files.1. The gauge coordinates for the OMI (marker lights) gauge should be:for 16:9 panelsgauge47=B732ADV!omi, 744, 462, 30, 102for 16:10 panelsgauge47=B732ADV!omi, 744, 562, 30, 1022. The 16:10 CIVA INS equipped panel.cfg files are missing the autobrake gauge--to fix add the line below between gauge 42 and 44 in the panel.cfggauge43=B732ADV!autobrake, 1240, 751, 102, 2693. The panels have the speed brake lights misplaced. The line should read:for 16:9 panelsgauge21=B732ADV!sb_lights, 643, 782…

OK, after four long months, my stuff finally arrived from Chile, including my TinMouse development system. Work on the TinMouse II should start again relatively soon. For those with *panel* issues, please post them here in this thread so I can build a consolidated list of things to work on. This is for panel issues only...please don't ask for model changes, repaints, wing views, etc. There are still no plans for a VC, and still no plans to port the plane over to FSuX.RegardsBob ScottColonel, USAF (ret)ATP IMEL Gulfstream II-III-IV-VColorado Springs, CO

  4. Sorry folks, but in 4 years of using FSX, I had never noticed that the aircraft folder name in FSX is different than in FS9 (Airplanes vs Aircraft). Here is a corrected version of the FSX readme installation instructions:QUICKSTART:1. Unpack the zip file to a working directory, keeping the directory structure intact.1A. Rename the \Simobjects\Aircraft folder in the working directory to "Airplanes"2. If you have a previous installation of the TinMouse II, make a copy of the aircraft.cfg file so you can cut-and-paste the fltsim.xx sections in to keep your repaints.3. Copy the file FS2Audio.dll to the Windows \System32 folder, and if using a 64-bit OS, also to the W…

  5. The Version 1.40 widescreen update to the freeware TinMouse II B737-200 was released on 14 Apr 2011. A link to the download file here in the AVSIM library is posted in the FAQ pinned at the top of this forum. This is a minor update--a full installation of V1.30 and both the V1.31 and 1.32 updates in either/both of FS9/FSX is required prior to installing this update. The update is listed in the library under the "FSX Original Aircraft" category, however it is a universal update for both FSX and FS9.Note: please see this thread for corrections to several typos in the panel.cfg files affecting the marker lights (all panels) and autobrakes (16:10 CIVA-equipped panels) http:/…

Welcome to the TinMouse II project support forum. The TinMouse project began as a community freeware project in 2003 and gave us a high fidelity freeware B737-200. It's creator, Richard Probst, continued to update and develop the panel until he left the hobby in 2005. The TinMouse II is a continuation of that project in the same community spirit, and has grown, through the contribution of many, to a complete freeware package worthy of Richard's original vision. This forum is for project support, dissemination of news related to the project, and discussions related to flying the simulated or real B737-200. TinMouse II Frequently Asked Questions0. 7. I am trying to paint an Air Philippines 737-200 for the TinMouse model but I can't seem to find the paint kit. The one provided in the FAQ thread just brings you to an error message. The other person who made another paint kit based off it added it in his website, which is now unavailable. By using the WayBack Machine, the webpage for the download page has 2 archives but the download link itself is not archived. And his last message is back in 2013 so I even doubt he is active today. Can anyone help me please? Thanks!

  8. Started by Carob,

Hello. I have installed the TinMouse project, including the panel and updates, but I am running in an error with the fs2audio.dll file. The system is Windows 7 64-bit and I have placed the above file in both the C:\Windows\System32 and C:\Windows\SysWOW64 folders as the documentation says. But, when I go to load the aircraft I get an error that says "The FS2AUDIO.DLL Failed to load with Error Code 0x7e. Be sure the FS2AUDIO.DLL is in the \Windows\System32 folder then restart the application." Can anyone tell me what the issue is here? Thanks!

I take off, a valid FULL page is selected in PDCS, A/P is engaged, A/T Arm switch is selected on, an IAS is set in IAS/Mach window, but when I try to select EPR or SPEED button nothing happens. What do I need to do to fix this problem?

Sorry, I'm probably being really dumb. I don't seem to be able to turn on the autopilot in my Boeing 737-200Adv. I get a + sign if I hover over the switch on the SP177 panel, but it simple won't click on. Is there a fix for this , am I missing something, > There are notes in my release saying to "see the checklist page" but this does not appear to carry any info on solving this problem. LOVE the plane, Love the rest of the VC but ... Thank you in hopes.

  11. Started by investdude,

Have just got TinMouse II set up in FSX after years of using it in FS2004. However I find that although the engines are designated in the title line in the aircraft.cfg file, the correct engine usually does not show up. What am I doing wrong?

  12. Started by investdude,

In FSX flaps only move slightly and then go back to up. Gear retracts OK but red lights remain on. Gear handle can be moved to Off but when selected down gear will not extend and red lights remain on. Also on some 737s, not all, the anti-skid selectors are OFF and cannot be selected ON. Can somebody please help me with these problems, I have tried everything I can think of with no success. This is a fabulous aircraft but if I can't get it working I won't be able to enjoy it.

The nose starts to take off well before VR....Flaps 10 Trim 5...any weight. If I trim down to stop the nose from coming up too soon, then I don't lift off until 160 kts....And the autotrim is going out of limits at the high end. What does this mean?

  14. Using Tinmouse 2 in fs9 on Windows 10. Suddenly the flaps won't work. I see that the hydraulic quantity is low. Usually, system B is 4 % only. Can anyone tell me how I can restore the hydraulic quantity?

Hi...When I engage the elevator on the autopilot....the pitch is not held...she actually starts to sink...aileron and alt hold are working fine... I registered fsuipc and things got worse...much worse...air speed gauge stopped working...fuel switches stayed yellow no matter what position they were in...and the aircraft kept loading with engines running...any ideas?

  18. Hello! I'd like to know why the Tinmouse II doesn't have night textures? Tail and fuselage lights are made by effects. Is there any way to include or create the night textures?

  19. Started by lefsekling,

Hi! I flew the beautiful TinMouse in FS9 several years ago, and was happy when I found out that she is still flying in FSX. I installed the plane yesterday, v1.40, but a funny thing occured. None of the paint textures will show up, and I have done everything exactly as they say in the installation readme. I also reinstalled, trying v1.30 only, but it was just the same. So, that's where I'm at. The aircraft.cfg file is the untouched original one that follows the v1.30 install. I suppose I have done something wrong, but I can't see what. I run FSX Steam Edition - could that be the problem?

Not sure whether this query has been posted earlier, but in FSX the 2D sideviews do not show even though in FS9 did so. Of course, the active panel.cfg was properly edited pointing to the correct bmp files. Any ideas ?

Hello, scince Tin mouse 737-200 was probably the best and most underrated freeware FS aircraft, I would like to know if this project is dead or if there are any plans to bring it to P3D or even to develop another aircraft. Thank you!
