Hi, Just finished my first flight with VOXATC. I must say I am impressed by this product. Together with fs2crew voice it really does feel like you are working with actual people.I have one important issue, during the taxi fase my frame rate drops to half. Maybe it has something to do with the taxi lighting function, but after lineup/takeoff clearance frame rates are normal again. Does anyone else experience the same thing? What might be a solution? How does one close a flight plan upon completion of a flight? I have tried following the instructions provided in the VoxAtc manual, but it doesn't work. I get no response from the FSS. I am at KHIO Hillsboro, OR when I try to contact the FSS and close my flight plan. Any help is appreciated.ThxDanny

Hi.I wonder if anyone else has the same problem and best of all, has found a solution.I'm using FSX SP2 and the Carenado 182RG with VoxATC. So far all works well except for COM2. All ATC communications can only be made using COM1 (top radio set, only one frequency at the time). I have used the selector switch, manually or auto; not even turning COM1 off enables COM2 (the radio set below with switchable frequencies). It only happens with this plane and not the fsx defaults.Sort of a bother when switching frequencies on a quick succession, to say the least.Thank you for your help.

I just recently bought v5 Deluxe which has the 2 AT&T Natural voices in it, and I had some questions regarding upgrading: 1) Will the two AT&T Natural voices I installed remain? I couldn't find the natural voices available in my W7 text to speech generator. I only found Anna. However, when I play the game I can clearly hear a male and female voice. 2) Does the V6 Deluxe package include the same two AT&T Natural voices in it? Is there anything different in that Deluxe package compared to the V5 Deluxe package (meaning the extras). 3) Are the extras in the V6 Deluxe package available separately?

Hi Guys, I seem to be having a problem with VoxATC NOT displaying its panel in the NGX. I have run the Indexer and panel utility in VoxATC,but when running the panel utility, I select all, that checks the "737 NGX" check box, and then click install, and a small box appears saying"Initalizing - Please Wait", and the green progress bar shoots to the the right, as if to say it is done, but this window just sits there saying"Initalizing - Please Wait". I have left it for 10 mins or more, but still nothing happens, it seems the panel utiliy crashes when it tries to installits panel in NGX. Have not any problems with all default A/C, and it will install in "iFly-737" without tr…

Hello, I just recently bought VOXATC-X v5 Deluxe on DVD, and I'm trying to install it on my W7 64 Bit Ultimate system. I'm getting an error message that states: The installer has encountered an unexpected error installing this package. This may indicate a problem with this package. The error code is 2869. I couldn't find any installation instructions on the DVD. I'm trying to install VoxATC first before the Natural voices. I noticed that DotNetFX is also on the disc. I may or may not have this installed already with another program, but I'm not sure if that was supposed to be installed first or not. A "readme" file or something would have been helpful on the disc. How can…

· ..... okay, I made the move and got VoxATC, so far, it is the most expensive piece of software I purchased.I installed, setup (Move VoxATC to Core 3), loaded my flight plan VFR KFSO to KMRY, everything went okay other than ATC start to vector me in something that look like IFR, so practically I had to abandon my Flight Plane ... weird. Hi,ATC likes to order me to descend way too early. The other day I was told to descend so far from the airport that I cruised the last 100 nm or so at 6000 ft.Is there a way to avoid that? Helge

HiI'm getting a bit impatient waiting for Radar Contact version 5, its been in the pipeline now for years.I fly mainly in the UK and both VFR and IFR, what has put me off VoxATC before are the scripted readbacks.I need some advice please from users that have both Radar Contact and VoxATC - is this program a must have or should I wait for RC 5 ??Glen

I'm trying to change the way in which Airport names are spoken by VoxATC.I have a case whereby the name of the airport is St. Hubert (spoken as Saint Hubert).Currently Vox says "S T" or "Street" depending on the voice selected.I tried changing the name of the airport to "Saint Hubert" via Airport Designer but it still shows up on the VoxATC gauge as "st hubert".Re-indexing did not make a difference.Does anyone out there know where Vox gets the airport name so that I can correct it?ThanksNick

Hello All !Just installed VOXATC, went over the user manual, setup Flight Plan, and we good to go. (At least we think so :)) Now:*I get clearance, turns my little Bonanza, and I do not see the progressive green lights ?*I'm in KSNA and Ground tell me to switch Frq to Utopia 122.20 where Tower is 126.80, so I 'm switching to 122.20 thinking that I can switch and Report Back on Frq, but, nada, nothing really is happening ?*I do not hear, ATC communicating with AI at all ? So I'm back to the Ramp.... no take off tonight any idea

I bought VOXATC about a week and a half ago. I'm still learning how to use the program so some of the things that i'm not thrilled with could be a matter of me not having configured it properly. I like the interaction with ATC. It really keeps you working. The real world procedures are also well done. The fact that SIDS/STARS on done on the fly is a big plus. I'm not overly thrilled with the way VOX handles AI traffic.(I use UT2, I used the UT2 bridge) I just completed a flight from Calgary to San Francisco. While there was traffic on the ground at Calgary and it was correct for that airport, once in the air, the skies seemed rather lonely. There was the occasional Westje…

Hi everyone.I just installed the Captain Sim weather radar on some of my planes and it somehow deletes the Recent Comms feature. It installs its self right over where that was written in the panel cfg file. so it is no longer there. I think the only way around this is to uninstall Vox,then install the Weather Radar,and then reinstall Vox after that has been done. Has anyone heard of this this kind of conflict before?Thanks.Dennis

Good day all.In order to send the ATC through a headset, I installed a Plantronics USB headset to my W7-64 Pro FSX SP2 system.I have the speakers setup for FSX output and I have V6.05 pointed at the headset.Testing VoxATC via the Voice Config page confirms that the sound is in the headset only.Testing the Voice Rec via the W7-64 Control Panl confirms that the Mic is OK.Running FSX confirms that the engine sounds are through the speakers only (audio is connected to the on-board Realtek sound).Initializing V6.05 starts off OK with each voice Testing correctly (I can hear them).After the voices test, the Initializing dots (.....) stop and nothing happens.When I disable VoxAT…

Hi all, would be nice if VOX put the version number on their products as some of us are confused to what version does what. I am trying to utilize the c/o pilot using the radio funtion and am told its available on version 5.55. had this version for 6 months or more and could not use the pilot funtion. downloaded version 6 0n a 7 day trial and it was available. who knows whats available on what?

HI all, have a problem with my vox atc 5.5 version. according to the web advert there is the option of activating the co/pilot to run the radio in IFR. numerous requests to the dealer insist this is possible. Is this option only available in a later version?

Hello everyone,So far this program is going great. The only problem I am having is when I go to request clearance, the controller will tell me "cleared as filed, climb and maintain 10,000, etc....". The point is, ATC never gives me a SID. I do the whole SID and STAR setup and still nothing. Any help would be awesome. ThanksTroy Walker

Okay second day of the trial and having trouble. Filed an IFR from NZAA to NZHN. Went through all the prestart stuff okay and was off taxiing. Just before I got to RW05R ground told me to switch to tower 118.70 which I did, they acknowledged me and the screen said taxi to 05R. Well I was there and nothing else happened. Tried waiting another plane came up behind me and was given clearance to line up and blew straight through me... Booommm!I gave up, disabled VoxATC and took off and once I had flown the SID I enabled VoxATC and it picked up okay.Question is why would it not detect that I was at RW05R as it asked and had the red marker lights across??

I just completed my first VOXATC flight. I had a couple of issues that may be more me being a NOOB than the program itself. Firstly, when I was given clearance the runway in use was pretty short for a 737-700. So, I waited until I was cleared to taxi, but I wasn't able to bring up a menu to request a longer runway.Secondly, I was at cruise altitude of FL370 about 195 miles out from my destination when I was cleared to descend to 10 thousand. Is that normal for VOXATC or a by-product of my flight plan. I really did enjoy the experience otherwise.

I am running the trial of VOXATC (fresh download from VOX site) and I am really close to buying it but I have a problem that is annoying. During flight ATC requests an AI plane to increase altitude, the AI plane responds. This request/response happens over and over until the plane reaches the requested altitude. This has happened in a few flights now. I have Ultimate Traffic 2 installed and did run the bridge tool. I think it is using the UT2 planes but I am still not sure if it is using all of them. I disabled UT2 completely so the UT2 service is not even running. Maybe this was a mistake? I read that disabling UT2 service was the way to go. Also, assuming I can …

I've just purchased VOX and have installed it with no problem. When I load a flight plan created by FSBuild (or FSX for that matter), and I enable VOX, it seems to treat it as a VFR flight. I am instructed to contact ground in the display window. When I do, I get the option to do a local flight, a local taxi circuit, or a radio check. If I contact clearance I am given an initial altitude of zero. I have tried saving the flight and then reloading it. That worked but I was under the impression that it was done that way in the older versions but not in 6.05. Any ideas would be appreciated.

I'm trying VOXATC for the first time and I like it so far. I was doing pattern work and after doing a handful of touch and goes wanted to do a full stop landing and return to the ramp. I could not find a way to get VOXATC to offer the option to change intent. and when I did land and clear the runway I could not get ground to accept a request for any type of taxi instructions.I read the documentation and could not find reference to how to accomplish this. Is it possible? If not it would seem like a shortcoming or flaw. "Dear I'll be late for dinner. I'm stuck in the pattern until I run out of fuel..." I'm hoping that someone here can point me in the right direction…
