Damien,The other day I finally had a chance to download and install AS2012 and I must say it's the best weather program you have put together yet, however I am having a small problem getting the Drag and Drop weather themes to show up in FSX at my destination airports.To explain further, the other day there was a pretty good snow storm that passed thru west and north west Texas. I loaded AS2012 and FSX and went to Lubbock in the sim and found a great snow storm to use and save for other times. I just bought and d/l the XPax, but for whatever reason it does not recognize my Quality Wings 757 products on the aircraft selection screen. My other payware/freeware aircraft display just fine (including POSKY 777, Aerosoft DHC-6, PMDG MD-11, PMDG JS41). Any idea/suggestions why? Thanks

Just got the 2012 and it loaded great and saw the drastic change on the networked com.2012 opens alright but i cannot seem to minimize the sceen , down to the task bar.also seems to be missing the outer edge of the windows , i do not see how you can quit the screen.any help thanks.....Robert

No screen shots, sorry...But after several flights, some tuning, some snapshots, and more tuning, I can definitely say I have AS2012 looking even better than I had ASE.There are still some minor and occasional issues with FSX's depiction of "overcast", but that was true of ASE too and I am really liking the new textures and overall appearance.Winds in general are also much better.Thanks,Jason

After I enter a flight plan into AS2012 and say select VOR to VOR, it asks if I want to install wx influenced graphics right away. This is annoying as I would like to edit the VOR's before this prompt comes up. I cannot figure out how after I edit my flight plan to get that prompt to come back up. So now I am stuck with whatever AS2012 decides to give me for VOR's. Why can there not be a simple button on the MAP screen that says to install wx-influenced textures once the user gets done editing their flight plan???

No more S-turns and Sim connect-tion is solid!Using PMDG and LDS aircraft.I am using ASE and FSUIPC registered...since the latest FSUIPC 4.754 (from Peter's updated downloads forum http://forum.simflight.com/topic/66139-updated-modules/), and using the latest SP4beta of ASE (NOT AS2012)...I am able to fly with no wind/baro smoothing, no S turns, no Sim-connect disconnects. The only thing I have FSUIPC doing is suppress turbulence..and now I am not even sure that is still necessary.Did 3 flights yesterday, no issues and smooth wind transitions.

I just started using ASE with FS9 after years of using AS6.5 and I'm very pleased with the results. I have read the manual; however, I have 2 questions.The first has to do with "popping" of cirrus clouds while at altitude. The clouds below seem to be doing fine - I sometime see some slight drawing, but not the sudden popping into view that I see with the cirrus clouds. My FS Weather Options are set with a Sight Distance of 60 miles, Cloud Draw 50 miles, 3D Clouds 100% and Detailed Cloud Density at Maximum. Within ASE I have Local Range Suppression enabled and set at 18,000', five cloud layers, and Cirrus Cloud Generation 15%. Visibility Options (all checked) include …

I have been using AS2012 since it arrived a few weeks ago. I have been unable to get an accurate depiction of overcast at all times. Winds, altimeter, etc are all ok, it is just the clouds are not being depicted correctly. I have tried several settings and to no avail. Suggestions/help appreciated.Joe

HiI tried with ASE and I have tried with 2012 and I still get the ASE Simconnect client SP1 SP2 not found.Its installed on the client Pc and I can run EFB over the LAN no problem, so that indicates to me all nw is ok?Any help would be great please!

ASE causes me to lose sound to my USB connected speakers when I run FSX. I can still get sound through my headphones that connect directly to the motherboard. Any ideas?Intel 980X; 12 gigs ram; EVGA M/B; EVGA 480 (x2) Video Cards.Whoops...forgot to check "Follow this topic" :(

I mentioned this on another threadthere seems to be a bug where the weather seems to be on a loop. Noticeable when there is rain or snow, the best way to describe it, is the pattern in which the snow falls seems to be stuck on a 1 second loop.Where the pattern is repeated constantly.Any thoughts on this?Alex

I run AS2012 on my FSX PC and have a connected PC runnning Aivlasoft EFB Display Unit on which I look at the metars feeded by AS2012.If I create wather (edit wx) and apply it global then my metar in the display unit should show that created wx, I assume.But it shows real world weather; is that correct?ThanksPeter

Hi, I have the upgrade version of Active Sky 2012, and everything worked well initially, but now I seem to have developed a problem. How do you get overcast it with AS2012? Current weather conditions at YSCB has severe turbulence at 1000 ft yet on takeoff I get none. I fly a circuit around YSCB in and out of cloud and I still get hardly any turbulence when the prevailing weather is heavy rain and thunderstorms. In the weather options section I have turbulence set to min 70% and max 100%. Other issuesLighning can get displayed in a rather odd and unrealistic manner eg as a fork running horizontal near the ground and in clear air away from clouds.Can't get overcast = all I can get is about 4-5/8 despite overcast in the METAR - I will just add my own compliant here to the general clamor on this issue e…
