Hello,First of all, thank you for this wonderful product. I have made a few short hops to test it out and everything looks really smooth. I noted just one minor issue though. I sometimes see "strange" textures on the sky which weren't there with ASE+REX combo. Not that I am very uncomfortable with it, but still it would be better without those. :)I'm attaching a screenshot. I wonder if anyone has an opinion/workaround for this.Thank you,Doruk

Hi everyone,I've been using PMDG products now with AS2012, and I got questions regarding this:- does the import flight plan option works with PMDG flight plan files ?- where do I have to go to find the FP, as my FSX is setup in D:\FSX. I' looked at D\FSX\Modules, but nothing ?!Thanks for your help.

Hi i've bought AS2012 as ASE update. I've installed it and all works perfectly i 've only a problem sometimes it request me to activate the program yesterday for example it call me for activation 2 times during a 3 hours flight. I activate the program and maybe after a day it call me again to activate it. My internet provider doesn't give me a static ip address but is dynamic. Is this the cause of program deactivation ? I've used ASE for 1 year without this problem only with AS2012.Please help me

Good evening together,im a proud ASE user since a month...Works very well, weather and cloudsituations are very realistic....If theres not this problem....Every time, if "Depiction Output" has been activated, and the "Sim Queue Count" is counting up and down to zero, the sky is "flashing" for every count, and i have strong freezers too...I installed SP3, it doesnt helps..I tried the beta version of SP4.... unfortunatly it doesnt helps...I use FSX with SP2...I tried serveral options for ASE... and the only option which solve the problem, was DWC... Then idont have any problems like the described... The only problem with DWC... i loose much framesin every situation...Any sol…

Hi at all, i've a little question:i see that pressing the "influence" button on every graphic, it is all set to 5, always. How can AS decide which graphic to use based on weather? Is it random or is it really weather influenced (without changing the values)?Thank you for replies! :)Have good landings! Massimiliano.

The older version of AS had options to suppress weather updates within so many miles of the destination and/or below such and such altitude. Does ASE have this feature or does it only use time? Do you then have to do a weather update many miles out so that you don't get studders on final? I was looking for this on the options page but could not see it.ThanksJimCYWG

Hello everyone,We've been hard at work since release addressing a few issues, some of them very isolated and difficult to identify and duplicate.... so thank you for your patience while we worked it out. While we still have some work to do, we wanted to provide this BETA update now for those who would like to try it. The revision log is below. Note that this is NOT an official release and should be used at your own risk. If you experience an issue, please open a support ticket (http://support.hifitechinc.com) and make sure to specify that you are using this BETA build. The update can be downloaded here: http://dreamcatcher....pdate_B4387.zip (4MB)This update installs o…

jim / teamin both ASE & AS2012, there are 2 txt files in the "AppData ... Weather" folder, namely "current wx snapshot" and a "current synthesised wx", both of which as best i judge can be read by Topcat.my guess is that the latter is more appropriate to use as it is what AS is injecting / depicting into FS.your advice please.

Both REX and AS2012 have great textures. So, which do I use, especially cloud textures?I guess current FSX textures are from the program I last loaded?Guidance appreciated. Thanks,

I have just installed XPAX again after a long lay off and when it starts up the program it says I have completed 8528 flights, and I know I havn't done this many!!..It has been installed onto a laptop that it was previously installed onto so it must have retained some of the data and that now seems corrupt. How can I completely remove all the old data and start from scratch with zero flights etc?thanksKeith

I have recently purchased AS2012 as an upgrade from ASE.I am having problems with wind direction being stuck at whatever the wind was when I took off.I have AS2012 build version 4363.I have FSUIPC version 4.794, with all weather controls turned off.I am running AS2012 in Standard Depiction mode. This problem occurs whether or not I insert a flight plan. The wind speed seems to be correct.I've read the sticky topic at the top regarding stuck winds - but I'm not running in DWC mode, and I have the latest FSUIPC installed.Any ideas?

Has anyone else noticed the weird runway texture colors at night in the PMDG 737 NGX? It only happens when I am flying this AC and only happens when I load AS2012. Regardless of weather conditions and the installed textures I am using, I get a green and blue (sometimes purple too) runway color in the center of the runway for the first 1000 feet of my takeoff roll. I switch to other AC and it goes away which makes me thing the NGX is maxing out my graphics card's texture bandwidth. I have my FSX sliders at 50% and using the 32 bit runway features setting.

I goto the map tab, select New Plan, Import, I fill in the alternate airport, TAS, and climb/descent rates, and hit Process. I am never get the popup asking if I want to install weather-influenced AS2012 graphics or a snapshot. I have been going to the Graphics tab and hitting the WX Influenced button, but my understanding from the manual is that this button is not accounting for my route. I am importing flight plans created in FSBuild. I have not created any snapshots, and I'm not interested in installing snapshots. I want to use the "Install AS2012 Graphics" option in the popup to have AS2012 install graphics based on my route. Is there something I have done wron…

I'm running AS 2012 and XPax on a second (slave) netbook computer in a networked setup. I just bought a faster second PC to replace my current netbook which I will sell to a relative by it just struck me now when I already reset my netbook to factory default that I never uninstalled AS 2012 and XPax prior to this...will this be a problem when I will try to install AS 2012 and XPax on my new second PC?Maybe your license servers will think that I already used my license for both AS 2012 and XPax on a computer and therefore won't let me install them on my new second PC although there isn't a trace left of the HiFi software on my old netbook after the factory reset?

HiJust purchased AS2012. I have a registered FSUIPC 4.754 and PMDG 737 NGXJust did my first test flight all above London (well EGKK) and I had Knt winds at 14000' in the sim, and 105 Knts at FL300. Yet only 12 knts on the ground. My question, is there anywhere in AS2012 where I can see the actual downloaded wind speeds at altitude? I know the METAR and TAF are available but they only give surface winds, and I am looking to check my sim against the real world.I have FSUIPC weather OFF and DMC enabled in AS2012.Many thanksLeslie

Is there some reason that the FSX coordinates text display (Shift+Z) winds information is not updated to reflect the currect ActiveSky winds information? The direction is usually somewhat off and the speed is way off (FSX reports 5kts wind, but AS2012 and Reality-XP 530 report 28kts wind). I am assuming that it is just the way AS is controlling the wind that FSX is not reading and reporting correctly. The AS winds are most definitely the correct winds and the sim is reacting to the AS winds, just FSX not displaying the correct numbers in that screen text readout. Thanks,Jason

Hello all,I recently wiped my drive and installed WinXP Pro. 64-bit because of OOM issues in FSX with the 32-bit version - XPAX worked great with 32-bit.Now XPAX is exhibiting strange behavior such as:Will not end when closed - have to go into task manager and end process.Continues to run a past state while in another - e.g. can still hear terminal pre-boarding announcements while safety lecture is progress while taxiing.Ocassionally will only hear audio but no video appears on screen. Are these because of the 64-bit OS or can anyone offer any insight?Help much appreciated - thanks!
