Hello,Not really sure how to do this forum thing but i'm a little desprate. Yesterday I purchased Active Sky Evolution and tried loading it. I get an error saying " Registry Access Failure. Please contact support..etc." I did so and have yet to hear anything back from them. I followed the installation instructions to the letter and even tried to HiFi support pages remedies for ASE not starting. I am pulling my hair out! I have no idea what could be wrong and there is hardly any topics out there on ASE let alone my specific issue. Anyone have any ideas?BTW, I'm running:Intell E55004gb RamWindows Vista Home Basic 32BitMS FS2004MS FS X

As a prospective future AS2012 customer, I would like to know how accurately it is able to replicate winds and temperatures aloft.I formerly used Activesky for weather. For the last couple of years I defected to REX due to its graphics, and have been quite disappointed by how inaccurate the winds aloft are, sometimes being as much as 180 degrees out. As you are probably aware, REX is coming out with their Essential overhaul which they describe as having the most realistic winds aloft in the FSX weather market due to their use of radiosonde data. However, I made this post (http://www.realenvironmentxtreme.com/forums/index.php?/topic/15252-rex-essential-feature-4/page__view…

Has anyone noticed issues when flying into airports reporting severe IMC conditions? My last 2 flights have had very disappointing endings because they ended in VFR conditions. This despite both the NOAA metar and the AS2012 metar string showing OVC of a few hundred feet and Vis less than 1 mile. AS2012 had the vis more close to severe clear. This was on a flight from TNCM into EHAM and ENVA into ENGM. Once I landed, if I completely shut down AS2012 and restarted, the conditions would then depict the low ceiling and vis as they should. The Force Destination Wx Zone setting really seems not to work either. I will often be within the 128 mile zone, but still have clear…

The dialog box that is suppossed to appear after entering a flight plan that asks whether or not to install "route average" Wx Influenced Graphics does not appear after the "process" button is selected. I'm not importing the plan, only manually entering the departure, destination, waypoints and other information in the dialog box. Does the weather option only appear after a pre-created flight plan is imported or is this a bug?

Hi Guys,I have noticed that it seems you are sourcing your weather from aviationweather.gov instead of the actual VATSIM metar website located hereDue to this, half of the airports that do have weather data on the VATSIM servers, but not on the aviationweather website are using ADVANCED INTERPOLATION as their weather source and are generating completely in-accurate weather depecition inside the sim... For example YSCN has a metar service on the VATSIM server but not on aviationweather.gov and therefore gets completely wrong weather including wind and QNH. If you are advertising VATSIM online weather, shouldn't you at least obtain the weather from the VATSIM servers so we …

Hi guys,So, I am really getting ###### with it. I just bought AS2012 hopping it will solve issues the previous version had, and guess what: no.So, I ask, what is the point of providing a save weather option, if it can't actually save what you manually entered 5 min before ? What trick shall I use in order to set a weather manually (and even see it applied in FSX, works 5% of time), come back, load it, and just get back all my winds/temp and cloud layers ?I'm seriously considering to ask for a refund at this point

Hi-I recently lost my FSsupport Laptop and decided to use my old FS computer instead. Bought another monitor and all went well until Simconnect. I do have it working but having some issues. So far ALL I HAVE INSTALLED is what comes on the GOLD version of FSX- on BOTH machines. Installed on FSServer when FSX was initially installed from the GOLD version DVD- automatically (?). Manually installed it on the FSSupport machine. All 3 folders are properly shared and security properly allowed. If I update BOTH the FSServer and FSLaptop computer with the FSX SDK SP1A as found at http://www.microsoft...ang=en&id=10027 will I then have the latest and the SAME version on BOTH …

Most of us know that compared to Actual Icing in RL, FSX's structural icing effect is extremely weak. Is there any way that you folks at HiFi can somehow give us the option to ramp up, both accumulation rate and density of FSX generated icing so that it will actually create a flight hazard in FSX?Right now as it stands, I can fly circles in clouds with freezing rain, with the Anti Ice equipment off and not build enough ice to affect flight performance. And just before anyone asks, yes, I am flying at an altitude and OAT where Structural Ice would build up the fastest. :) And I already have maximum structural icing cranked up to max on on the AS2012 Wx options... Just …

Here is my wish list item with X Pax:I enjoyed to utilize XPAX.I just cumulated 5000 point with XPAX. I wish at the end of every flight, my skill should be evaluated by XPAX and determine my flight skill, airplane flight performance and good points should rank me according established XPax ranking ( like FsPassenger). Starting Pilot then on.I always, feel XPax developed well but not completed. Pilot evaluation and rank advance should be nice. :(

I love the software, and think it is good. When I start the software, it automatically connects to FS, and starts the boarding process, before I even can enter the correct manifest. I would like to be able to connect manually to FS, and then start the boarding process within an allotted time based on aircraft size. Also, can we print our manifests out too?

Hi everyone,An issue with FSUIPC recent builds has been identified as causing wind issues in Active Sky's DWC mode when using the unregistered version, or registered version with wind smoothing disabled. This problem has been identified and fixed in 4.7.5.1, and is available from the Peter Dowson's FSUIPC support forum here: http://forum.simflig...pdated-modules/Please update your FSUIPC with this version (or later) to eliminate this problematic behavior. Please note that this only applies to those using FSUIPC, and does not affect those without.

Just bought ASE and really love the wx generation but even though I have set it to update the weather every 20 minutes the program takes the wx out of the sim and updates it every minute or every two minutes. I am on Win 7 64 bit running the application normally and cannot figure this out. All help very appreciated. Thanks,

Hello!I've been using ASE for a few month now without any issues, but recently I started flying in New Zealand and there are repetitive weather inconsistencies causing snow and unrealistically low temperatures in summer due to the built-in interpolation feature. Here's an example with a screenshot, the depicted station is NZMC, but situation is the same at NZQN and almost anywhere else on the South Island of New Zealand, apart from NZCH which provides its own accurate real world metar and no interpolation is necessary.http://img24.imagesh...24/36/asenz.pngAll the stations in this region use interpolation in metars and all of them link their interpolation to the south to th…

Then, it started snowing again and the ground textures started changing back to snow covered. It repeated this a few more times before I landed. 1st time seeing this. Anyone else seeing this issue?
