After many false starts while trying to get all of the pieces put together I finally flew a flight from KDEN - KLAX and was very happy with the weather and graphics. I had loaded this before and selected the graphics but this time when I loaded I selected the graphics option but it did not go through the download process. Are the graphics stored againt the route so that they will always be there on any future flights with that routing?Thanks

I recently purchased Active Sky 2012 and am having some serious problems with it. In DWC mode I have a huge hole (maybe 30 to 40 miles diameter) in the overcast that follows my aircraft around. This happens quite consistently. I see others have posted about this problem as well. I then tried standard mode, and while the clouds were OK and reflected what the weather report said, I now had a problem with the wind velocity sticking during a descent. I had almost landed before a 55 knot crosswind suddenly changed to four knots. I didn't notice whether the wind direction was stuck or not. Hello,Just purschased the upgrade from ASE to AS2012 ! So far I love it. Just a quick question: as I am using 3 screens with a matrox triplehead2go setup, I tweaked the lights on my default FSX texture so the lights don't appear like oversized super bright ballons. Are there lights compatible with the triplehead2go in the AS2012 runway light textures ?RegardsKarim

Hi.I have AS2012 and love it.I use one of two log in into my PC for various reasons and for some unknown reason AS2012 will not run under my other user login profile? Surely the software is not locked to my one user profile.Please could you advise how I allow both user profiles of my PC access the software (at different times of course).Thank you.Leslie Channell

Hi today I did a flight from Melbourne and the runway was dry and it should have been wet??? Why wouldnt it load a wet runway it was showing rain though. Especially with live weather?Any help to load a wet run way would be good cheers Wayne

I've read the pinned post above, and I have FSUIPC 4.761. I consistently get incorrect surface winds in FSX when using AS2012 in DWC mode. The wind direction is always off by some random number of degrees: 60, 120, even 180. The wind speed is off by some random amount. A couple weeks ago, the METAR reported clam, and FSX had it at [email protected] morning's flight, the wind speed was close, but the direction was about 40 degrees off.I can't seem to see any pattern of error, it's just always wrong. I expect to see a level of randomness, say +/- 10 degrees and +/- a few knots, but what I'm getting seems more like bug causing a prob.Happy to try some testing or whatever to tr…

When looking at the waypoints in the flight plan in AS 2012 and the wind conditions for each of the waypoints, what altitude do the wind conditions refer to?Reason I ask is I'm trying to ease the job for the FMC to calculate a good VNAV descent profile by entering a couple of wind conditions for at various flight levels in the DES Forecasts page. Do the waypoints in the AS 2012 flight plan take the actual route into account meaning the waypoints should be pretty close to what I see in the FMC on the LEGS page when it comes to flight levels for each waypoint?

Hello,before buying AS2012 I have some questions about the weather engine of AS2012. For me, the mainly reason to buy AS2012 is the weather engine, i don't need the textures because I want to stay with other textures I use since a long time. Is anyone able to say something about the performance influence when using AS2012's weather engine in comparison to the freeware weather engine FSrealWX ? (I use NOAA weather) How heavy is the loose of performance when using the direct weather control? Can somebody post a screenshot of the AS2012 fog? Hi,I have been using ASE support for flight planning with FSBuild for some time and it has worked very well. However with the latest beta build when I save the current weather and then run FSBuild the wind component that I get in the flight plan at times is totally different than what ASE produces as start my flight. For example I flew from LFPG to KATL the plan wind was -15, when ASE loaded the wind component was -60. Is there some variable that I am not loading correctly. I have all the FSB settings correctly loaded for integration with ASE.Thanks for help to resolve this issue.Bob JohnsonKDTW

I am curious. What advantages other than spared computational power, do I get from running AS 2012 client side vs server side? I am a new user of AS 2012 and just thought i'd ask before I go to the effort of moving it client side.

So I've been using ASE for a few months now and finally I gotta ask about this issue I have with winds. I load up ASE when I'm at the gate, everything looks accurate, great. Once I become airborne is where the issues start. For some reason my weather will briefly change a bit to reflect my change in altitude, etc., but then it'll revert down to anywhere between 5 and 20kts and just sit there like that. My speed gauge will start blinking and shimmering a bit. Sometimes it'll change to whatever the winds should be for a bit, and then it'll revert back to this random low wind speed. How to delete the Flightplan?I can only delete any points from the plan. I want to clear all Flightplan. No input a new flightplan.So there is no button do clear it. i can only set a new plan.So i must restart the program.

Small issue with installing themes after flight plan information is entered. As it is suppposed to, it asks me every time if I want to install themes, and I select the "install AS2012 Graphics" option. But at times it doesnt actually install them unless I re enter the flight plan info and select the above mentioned option again. Its more or less a nuiscance, and really only takes 3 more seconds of my time, I was just curious if anyone else had this issue, if it even is an issue at all. Thanks in advance!

I use Historical Weather a lot. Lets say I pause my flight at FL330 150nm out with 80 knot winds, save the flight in FSX and save the weather in ASE. Next time I go to the flight to complete it, I open the ASE weather I saved. Should ASE bring the winds down to what was originally forecast for surface winds at the airport I'm flying to? Last flight it just held the winds at 80 knots all the way to (a very crappy) touchdown. I know it says if you open a saved flight there are no updates, but shouldn't the winds at the surface be saved already with the file? If not what is a better procedure to use?

Using AS 2012 Build: 4387Hi, could AS2012 installation be the reason for that issue?Found rain drops are not visable out of cockpit view and outside view (adjusted completely down to surface level) when aircraft is on ground. About 1-2 meters above ground level, rain is visible in both situations. External view readjusted 1-2 meters above ground or after takeoff in cockpit view, rain becomes visible.I am not talking about visible raindrops at cockpit window or surface water effects at the runway.How to solve that issue which is mostly found at 3rd party payware addons?Regards,Nico

Looks like I didn't actually hit post my question. I have been learning the PMDG aircraft so even though I purchased AS2012 I haven't really used it much. If I import my FSCommander plan do I load graphics or is it automatic. I chose a randomized theme and saved it but I am not sure if I am actually seeing the great graphics.

I tune to the ATIS Frequencies prior to departure and again nearing the arrival to choose the appropriate runway. I have ATC defaulted off, so is the ATIS communications I hear being generated by AS2012. I use PMDG products exclusively.Thanks

Not sure why this is happening but I noticed when I switched to AS 2012 even on Ocean flights it seems like I always have a ton of clouds around me. There is never any clear days or just party cloudy days like before with ASE. Any ideas?
