HelloPardon me if this is an old question, but it is possible to alter the red colour on the green ribbon that gives the weather details.I find (with my old eyes) that the these two colours on a bright blue sky make reading the infomation difficult to discern.I find the default FS9 ATIS ribbon, which is white on green easier to visualise. Any suggestions very welcome.Thank you

i dont usually print my wx flight plan after i created it via the new route button, but just a thought though why not have the radar display the crz winds for every waypoint besides for departure and arrival airport. i rather know if i have a headwind or tailwind instead of the surface temperature at a waypoint along my route.

i did a test flight this AM into SYR. real weather[ weather.com] mostly cloudy, m/s "real weather was scattered clouds/ . active sky v1 92 4 was CAVU. m/s weather had me on app to 28. active sky had me on 28 untill 5 miles then gave me 10. after i did a "missed", active sky then prompted m/s to give me 28 again. i find this happening a lot. i've got fs2002 pro. when i get to the 5 mile hand off to tower, i get a 180 degree runway switch, after which i usually get vectored back to the original runway again. this happens well over 50% of the time. tom t

Hi,I asked about this under the ASV announcment thread but that one is getting a bit off topic, so I'll put it here.Down here in Australia it seems that AS2004.5 is unable to use many of the Wx stations that VATSIM can. That is, I can get Metar data from VATSIM in many different locations but AS2004 doesn't use those stations, it generally goes to one which is a long way away. The answer seems to always be a lack of stations down here and vast distances between them. But if VATSIM can get metars for these places, why can't active sky?Can anything be done with the current version to improve this? Has anything been done with the new version to improve this?Is there any wa…

Sir,This may be more of a general FS9 question, but since it directly affects my AS2004.5 usage I wanted to ask it here. In the FS9 time and season selection menu, does the date, month, and year refer to the local time or GMT?I

Hi guys,If any of you are complaining about a stutter during updates the ATC Catalyst drivers have sorted it. Also I found that if I had stutters all I needed to do to get rid of them is to up the latency timing in the BIOS to 92.Hope this helps somebody.

Can you set a minimum visibility in ASV and if so would it require a registered version of FSUIPC to use it?Example: Set minimum visibility to not go below 1/2 mile.

Hi, I made a flight couple days ago form NZCH to NZNR.According to Servinfo both stations had a metar when VATSIM data was loaded BUT no NOAA metar for NZNR.(Servinfo msg : metar could not be retrived)I dont know the source of VATSIM metars but AS2004.5 B193 couldnt find NZNR. I tried fetching it but no luck. AS was giving me NZWN wx. Eventually i quit AS and Enabled SB3 weather which obviously wasnt the same environment but i really enjoyed the Foggy wx. :) SB3 was giving me Wx for NZNR.So... to the point. I had Online mode and VATSIM mode enabled all the time.I checked wx station list NZNR is not there BUT It is in Complete airport list. If i put NZNR in Wx list do …

Is there a way of smoothing the temperature change when a weather update occurs? I've noticed recenlty with the PSS Concorde that during the very slow supersonic climb, the rate of climb can rapidly jump from a few hundred feet per minute to a few thousand. I had upper winds disabled, and knew it wasn't the winds causing the problem, but I noticed a 10*C drop instantly as the new weather was loaded. Not a huge problem on the ground, but in the cruise for just about any aircraft (although the effects are more dramtic on Concorde), the temperature plays a key part in how well the engines perform. The effects on the aircraft on large instant temperature shifts can be just as b…

Hello there.I'm quite new to AS2004 and I'm very happy with it.I'm following the guidelines in the manual to run it properly, and I have a couple of questions.- Why do I need to load a flightplan in AS2004? Only to check for possible weather issuses and then modifiy the FPlan accordingly?- Do I need to leave AS2004 up and running during flight? If yes, why? Thanks in advanceStefano

I just bought AS2004.5 yesterday (despite ASV's announcement, so please be good to us on the upgrade discount), and I'm taking a short flight between KMHT (Manchester, NH) and KMMU (Morristown, NJ), a route which obviously has a lot of wx stations. I generated a GPS direct IFR flight plan and loaded it into AS. Is this why the "enroute wx" box in the "Nav Log" show "No enroute stations (depature/destination stations prevail)...?" If I had used victor airways in the flight plan, would there be additional stations showing in the nav log? I do see the current metar from KFIT in the "closest station report" on the main screen, so are these stations along the route used t…

I know there's no support for FSBrowser, but perhaps someone here can help me.I've installed FSBrowser to my main FS9 folder, and every time I go into FS9 and press CTRL - F11, the browser comes up fine. It's just the moment I power it up, the simulator freezes up, my screen turns black to except where the web page loaded for FSB would be, and then I crash to desktop.I have Windows XP, FS9.1. Any ideas why this could be [email protected]

Hopefully someone can help me with a frustrating problem. I am currently using AS2004.5 Build 193, and am having no luck using either the Online Updates nor the manual offline updates. During the Online updates, the program gets to the point of "Downloading WX data from HiFi Data Net", and then thats it, the program stops. It doesnt freeze up, because I can still click the other buttons, it just doesnt download. The second problem is that during teh Offline Update, the date for the weeather is always 031150z. That is the date that is also shown in the top right hand corner next to Active Wx.I have tried everything that has been posted earlier on this board, including turni…

Yikes!I just purchased and installed AS2004.5. I then followed the instructions to install FSUIPC version 3.45 and ran AS2004.5, clicking on options and then saving. When I go into FS 2004 and create a flight, then choose FLY NOW, I see the normal
