I was wondering if the Active Radar looks the same are does it look more like a real radar? Just curious.

I have left my pc downloading (trying to) the new ASV for hours.It never got to the end: frozen at about 76mb.Retried and it freezed again somewhere else.Now my download count is down to 8 and i still do not have the zip, plus the link will expire on monday.Now what if i don't succeed in downloading the file?

Dear HiFi Team,after purchase the upgrade version of ASV, I could not execute a complete download of the file and tried many times. The thing is that now I have the download expired and cannot download it anymore but the site assumes that the download is 'Complete'. As I saw in another post there are a few other people with the same problem. Is there a way to put back again another download chances?I know that today was a bit of rush to all of you, but please, if possible, give some input regarding this problem.Thanks in advance,

How much access do I need to give my ASV computer to my FS9 computer's FS9 folder? (E.g., just read and write, or does it need execute authority as well?)

Hello ASV guys,I've just downloaded ASV and made a little VFR flight around my hometown... really impressed by the new clouds so far!Since my sim PC is not internet connected, with AS2004.5 I was used to download the weather data from another PC, save the wx file and then transfer it to my sim PC for offline use.I just want to know if AS2004.5 wx saved files are compatible with ASV.In other terms, can I download the weather from my internet PC with AS2004.5, save the wx file and then import it in ASV on my sim PC?Thank youStefano

Jose comments at the end of the Other Thread that "In ASV you can choose the clouds from a 512x512 resolution to a 64x64 resolution. You can even enable mips. This allows you to choose the best cloud configuration to balance your AI/Scenery taste."The resolution item was important for me -- I've been using the 64x64 clouds from HiFPSv2, and I think I need to stick with that. HiI just downloaded and installed ASV and I have to say that it looks amazing. I run ASV through WideFS and I had a bit of trouble installing ActiveRadar on the FS computer. When I ran ActiveRadarConnector.exe and tried to select ASV.exe it wouldn't accept my input. I attempted to install it by manually copying the ActiveRadar folder and dll to my Flight Simulator modules folder, but when I tried it ActiveRadar would not pick up the weather changes. Then I found a post that talked about creating a registry entry so I did that, substituting ASV for AS2004. Now ActiveRadar picks up the weather, but it won't dislay anything on the radar screen. After a flawless install onto my 2nd PC using WIDEFS, I can only say thanks for an excellent product. Initially as you will be aware from my post in the release thread I was not happy but Damien and the guys sorted everything out so fast that I had the uncorrupted file within hours.Some groups in the flightsim community could learn a thing or two about the service provided here.I have installed the update and my reaction again is WOW!! Hello,Although I am Importing the FS9 pln to the AS including speed and FL the Navlog and Waypoint details shows no wayipoint ID but only Departure and Arrival airports.EG for LGAV EGLL flightI have LGAV with all the infothen each FP waypoint info but without the waypoind Identifier.Any suggestions?RegardsChris

Can i do this, im getting to much frameratehit and stuttering, i tryed all 3 texture sizes, but the fps hit is too big for me.

Just for reference:PayPal is NOT SUPPORTED in more than 170 countries of the world. In those countries (including my own) you can't pay with PayPal even using your Visa (or other card).As for now people living in those countries (e.g. Russia or a couple of European Union countries) can't buy ASV :(I hope HiFiSim will finally change it's payment options... They promised to find a solution very soon. I hope...

With all these download and server issues, it seems that a better distribution method would have been to offer the program as a download on AVSIM, then have people purchase through an E-commerce Wrapper such as that used by Ultimate Traffic, etc.I can't wait to install ActiveSky 5 because I've been waiting to get these visibility and clouds issues solved!

Hi,I've bought ASV through paypal 45 mins ago, was redirected from paypal to my shopping cart after finishing the payment process. Got paypal's 'payment sent' confirmation, but no download link - neither through e-mail nor under 'My account' in HiFi Sims eccomerce system. Wrote to support regarding this matter...nada. What went wrong? Is it a PIBKAC?

As a real world commercially rated pilot, who flys out of Van Nuys, CA, I frequently see a Marine Layer overcast in real life, which requires me to use my instrument rating to get out. Usually, it is 10+ mile visibility and a 1-3000 ft ceiling, which is about 2000 feet thick. The marine layer usually goes up to the edge of the surrounding mountains of the basin, as it is pushed in from the West up against the mountains. All of Los Angeles, and most of the West Coast, is covered by it in the morning, and it burns off by noon or mid day, but affects us year round. Hi!I just installed ASV and went thru the settings menu. I activated the "ICS+Random Sky/Env" mode.Then I recognized the "Enable Mips" Button in the Active Environment menu. Here's my question: When I want to enable the "Mips", is it enough when I click it the "Enable Mips" once, or do I have to press the button everytime on startup when the randomizer chooses a new texture set?By the way.........great piece of software;-)Kind regardsMartin

I got an error message upon my first use of ASV. I bought the upgrade - ran it - it found AS2004.5 - ran the installer - it finished - I chose not to run it after installing it.
