Question regarding the wind information on the navlog printout. For the various flight levels wind infomation is predicted in the following format for various weather stations:FL030: 154/22 (12.50) and up to FL390: 178/70 (-50.30).I assume the 12.50 is a tailwind and -50.30 represents headwind.Thanks,Ulysese BrownActiveSky Newbiex:-)

Hi all,I have a question about my settings within AS. I just made a short flight with OVC conditions. AS depicted the ovc weather convincing enough, (no holes in the clouds) but there was a clear band at the horizon all around the aircraft the entire flight. I'm sure it's some setting that I'm missing, or don't have set correctly. This was the active METAR for the flight;KAIG 282155Z 27009KT 10SM OVC050 05/M03 A2989 RMK AO2 RMK SUPPRESSEDI have the visibility in FS set to 60nm and clouds drawn at 60nm. I am looking to purchase this product, I'll probably hold out for V, but I have a question. Looking through the screenshots and such it seems like the program wants you to import a flight plan or put your departure and arrival airport. Can you just download the full world weather and have it update every few minutes like the default FS? Since I don't really know where I'm going to and from sometimes when I start up Flight Sim... Orig thread- Ap 05, louross; secondary thread- Ap 15, tonyDavies. About two weeks ago started the same prob again. Typically when processing a flight plan I get wx from 1 or 2 days before, which was prob my last flight, but haven't confirmed this. On refresh, usually get that days wx at 0700z, and nothing for the destination except some other station stating "invalid". Enter the destination in "FETCH" and get its current wx. Maybe I should try loading AS first, then fs9.?? Any ideas? Oh, will the new version be out soon enough that this problem is very temporary?? Thanks,lr.

Hi Can somebody tell me how to set the the left margin in my print's.The lines are placed without no left margin at all. And I like to collect the different data material from each flight in a map.I asked this question once before and was advised to try Build 192. But this version do not give any left margin. I was told that the print is hard coded. Well... then fix this code please.I'm not the only one who find this lack in AS very annoying! :-mad Best RegardsLars

good day weathermakers,This morning i updated as2004.5, i did a clean install (installed as2004 and update 193. Also fsuipc 3.48 registered and widefs version 3.47 were installed.everything is working great on 2 pc's.Only one problem. I used to lower the visibillity in the option menu of AS, to 35 because my cloud draw is at 30, and with this i was comfortable. I have a problem with activesky b192, it doesnt download the weather from today it keeps dowloading the same weather from the 23rd of april, it started happening after i installed b192, i tried ebrything refresh, download the latest nothing keeps saying the 23rd of the month and its the same weather for lga 800 overcast 9miles visib etc, for the past 2 days. WHATS WRONG ??

Edit: build 193I just installed the update last night and my first flight in the DC3 near Napoli was going fine until I turned final and noticed I was starting to crab.Boy did I crab. The wind at 600 ft was reading 099 at 99 kts. I turned into the wind and with full throttle was still accelerating backward. The GPS showed a groundspeed of 490 kias in reverse when the plane broke up.I had had not trouble at all with the previous build.Using 3.47 fsuipc (unregistered). Anyone else experiencing this?The metar at LIRI was showing a 14kt wind from the south, btw.BlairCYOW

I'm using the latest release, B193. I'm getting stutters like crazy, even with the download throttle checked. I don't recall having serious stutters with the 170 or 180 build, but I'm sure I had a little. Anyhow, will the new version of AS that's coming out have the ability to completely suppression all updates into the destination airport? What's updating that's causing these stutters when only 30 miles out and a suppression range of 100? Thanks

I dont think i ever experienced any turbulence with activesky any help on this issue?Btw the wake turbulence works fine. but im talking about going through cloud turbulence and crz altitude turbulence and air pockets. Will asv have this or am i missing something here and i should already have it?Thanks!

Hey, all... Firstly, let me just congratulate Damian and crew on such a FANTASIC product -- I've been a happy user of ActiveSky 4.5 for quite awhile now, and it just keeps getting better! My question is, is there a way to view the winds-aloft data while within the simulation? For example, is it possible to see a display of the winds aloft within ActiveRadar, like it displays the enroute data?Sorry if I'm missing something!! I'd just like to be able to get winds-aloft data for various altitudes while flying through areas -- it's as close as I can get right now to simulating dropsonde readings.Just getting geared up for hurricane season. :)

When downloading the update it comes up with a screen to modify, repair or remove update. Under modify it has 3 choices. What the ?Am I doing something wrong or what? Please help. I don't see anything in the instructions concerning this.Mike

I was flying in some thunderstorms tonight.. KSTL..Well the things I noticed in weather differences between the 174 and 192 build were the 192 build was alot more off as far as visibilities and ceiling reports...Some of the areas I was flying in near St. Louis had areas of visibility less than 5 miles and the 192 build was listing them as much as 9 to 10 miles of visibility in them areas also on the NOAA site http://adds.aviationweather.gov/ & another weather site http://www.wunderground.com/US/Region/US/2xpxRadar.htmlthe weather intensities of the storm alot of it on these sites were showing in the red and the yellow and build 192 the hardest rains it listed was blue…

As much as I enjoy AS, build 192 is not doing it for me. It's slow and it causes jerkiness. I went to add/remove and remove AS update, I tried to reinstall 182 but 192 keep showing on main srceen. How do I delete 192 and go back to 182. Bill M

I don't normally use Activeradar but I have noticed that if it is running and on screen my framerate can double, for example without having it on screen is 20fps and with is 40 to 45 fps! Any idea why? I would like to go back to fly without the radar but I need the extra FPS.BTW I get the same 20fps if I don't load Activeradar at all, ie through whole time of running my copy of MSFS I don't ctrl+f12Using AS2004.5 with newest fsuipc and MSFS update/patch.Andrew

I don't know if it was the weather just changing quite radically here in Kansas or if ActiveSky was just not recieving proper report tonight after I downloaded the 192 build but I was getting rain when there was nothing showing on the radar.. Near a storm and I don't have Extend Thunderstorm layers on..I also noticed that their were alot of red and yellow of the storm I was flying in and the radar now on active sky was labeling a medium to heavy thunderstorm as blue like it was light...Could have been just a not so good report going on this evening don't know..Oh and does anyone know why It will leave a blank hole right in the middle of the storm sometimes? Just wanted to say thanks for a great program. I had asked some questions last weeek about AS. I bought it on Friday & I really like it. I am impressed with the LACK of frame rate hit. Also I just about to land at PANC when my plane (C441) got buffeted around because of wake turbulence. Very cool. I did have one CTD but I think I have narrowed it down to FSCAMERA 1.5.
