Can some please help.. I have installed FSX with SP2 and also SDK SP2 on my server.On my client I have ASX and XG installed with SDK SP1 I cant get it to connect to each other. I have read in previous posting that you run SDK SP2 on server and SDK SP1 on clients is this true. I cant get the AITraffic to talk is just shuts dow quickly. Please could you show me the .XML file in a picture to better understand. The ASX Networking only shows for SDK SP1 and Im connecting SP2. the XML files are different.All correct files are being shared and other programs are working via the FSUIPC but the simconnect is not doing anything so my network is setup correctly but Im thinking i hav…

Hi can you please help me, I'm trying to setup my laptop as a second pc to carry the addons workload from the main pc with Fsx. I have managed to share my main Pc1 running Fsx C drive with my Pc2 through network configuration.I have installed the SDK all the versions on my main Pc 1 and all the Simconnect files on my Pc2. I have tried using ACTIVE SKY as my first addon but I'm failing to make Active sky link with Fsx. I have the paid versions of FSUIPC and WIDEFS7 installed. Should I also install SDK all version on my second Pc2 or they are only meant for the main Pc1 running Fsx ? All help is much appreciated,thank you. Regards Lloyd

Since yesterday I have been not able to download weather. And HiFi's homepage is not available either. I remember when I had my last flight on 4th May I could download the real-time weather...So how long has it been and will it be like this?

Well i've just started out using ASN with PFPX and its a great piece of software slowly getting the hang of it all Got a few points that need answered for those who run these two together! I open up ASN and run the live weather and then create a flight plan in PFPX save it and then open it up in ASN it gives me my route but when i compare wind/speed at cruise, they both don't match up say for example at cruise PFPX will give a waypoint of winds at 256/46 but its different to that of ASN? Now i thought they both are sync? And also is ASN flight plan, will it have all the waypoints etc as PFPX does? Just ASN seemed to be missing a few waypoints. Thanks.

At the bottom of the Conditions-Tab page, there is a selection that can be made for "Forecast Hours" ranging from 0-24 hours. Since METARS are updated at least every hour, I'm confused about the function of this option. Does anyone know the purpose of this? Thanks.

Don't know if you agree that the weather sometimes is too much stable in the ASN. When I fly in a summer and very hot day I expect lots of bumps, thermals etc, but I find a calm and nice flight. I have the hotfix 5 installed. What 's your opinion? Thanks,

Fire up ASN and listen to the thunder as you see the fronts of the storms building about 20 miles from the airport. Lots of chop...and lots of fun to fly around! Very active...and again...building on Apr 30, at 16:45 EST. Have fun....and now...back to it....

I would like to reinstall my windows completely getting everything in harddisk removed. Is there anything that I should do to ensure that the reinstallation progress will not affect the license registration limit of my Active Sky Next, like using official key reset tool? Hello, yesterday I upgrade to ASN and update the old XGauge (AS2012) with the new ASN-XGauge. All works fine, but I have one problem inflight. I knew that I can change the winds flight level (like in the xgauge from AS2012) but I cant see what my wind level is. When I remeber in AS2012 I can see the wind level on the right (left?) site in xgauge but the new dont tell me the level. What is my mistake? Thanks for the help. Frank

Hi All, Brand new ASN owner here :-) I understand that ASN overrides FSX own settings for weather but I'm a little vague on this: When on the FSX main menu page for selecting an aircraft, weather, time of day etc - what should I be selecting with the weather settings? Or do I just ignore this completely from now onwards. Previously, using REX Essential Plus, I selected an option that became available in the drop down menu "REX". Now only the default themes show up in that drop down such as Fair Weather etc. Do these have any effect now? Also, must I select the real weather download check box in this menu? I have set ASN control panel to real world weather …

hello, today seems asn servers are down, and the program run slow and freezes. even http://www.hifitechinc.com/ seems to be offline sometimes. when i close asn it freezes at "waiting for inprogress actions to complete". are someone else experiencing problems? thanks

Hi, I run Active Sky 2012 without problems on FSX Gold SP2. I am unable to use ASN properly, even with latest hotfix installed N°5. Each time I load a flight in FSX with ASN started, I see the ASN depiction for 1 or 2 seconds, then immediately the weather depiction stops and clear sky is set. It's strange because at the bottom of the ASN window, I still have "live real time mode" and "fsx connected" message, and no error message at all. I have searched in the forum many fixes (potential anti virus conflict,...), and applied all possible fixes, without success so far. ASN seems to work properly, it's just that FSX switches to clear sky and seems to block ASN depicting…

I was going thru the documentation on the weather radar and was wondering if it can operate on a client PC (network setup where my ASN executes from) ... docs seem to indicate it tied to an aircraft. Cheers, Rob.

Hi guys, has anyone had any luck getting ground suppression to work on FS9? I've always ticked the "Use local range suppression" but when it's raining I still get sunshine and I don't get overcast skies or anything like that, I am using an unregistered version of FSUPIC.

When ASN says vis is 10sm is that like a default distance??. It seem I can't get a viv greater than that in ASN. Also there seems to be a haze layer that I can't get rid of. Something just doesn't seem right. Anyone else???? Cheers Nels

A number of months ago I installed Active Sky next Beta for Prepar3d and the install went smooth and I didn't seem to have any issues at the time. Can't can't pinpoint exactly when it happened but sometime between P3D 2.1 and 2.2 patch and a few ASNext installs later I started receiving crashes when trying to load P3D. Experts, A little help please. Do I need to do anything particular to utilize AS2012 textures with ASN. From a layman's perspective, I assume I'd have to start AS2012, load a flight plan, and select Yes when promoted to loaded textures. After the textures load, I would just terminate AS2012 and fire-up ASN? Does this sound accurate? Matt

I'm using active sky evolution and I notice that the clouds keep refreshing. In particular the cirrus clouds. It doesn't really scream realism to me and it's really annoying me!! I've checked my settings and the visibility graduation settings are all fine. Any tips? Thanks.

If someone could advise me of something else to try that would be great as having ASN installed and being a long time user of ASE with no stutters I get constant stutters with ASN, ASN turned off no stutters so I'm starting to get a little dissapointed when reading how other simmers are having a great expirience, I have done all the tweaks advised ( ASN update, the antivirus thing tried different cloud distance's but no go. I have installed ASN as an upgrade (ASA 2012 previously) ASN is on a Vista PC FSX is on a Windows 7 PC When I start ASN I receive FSX Application Data not Found. Please specify the correct path. Which I do but then I receive again the Data not Found and ASN closes. FSX is on the X drive FSX Application Data on the Y drive I am sure they are correctly specified as FS Commander and Aivlasoft EFB (both on the Vista PC) can reach them. Can anybody suggest me a way out of this problem ? Roger

In the month since I purchased ASN I've done about 8 flights. Preparing for 5 of them ASN has had problems downloading weather and at the same time the HiFiTech forums can't be reached. You may think this is coincidental but it's not. Each time ASN can't deliver wx information the HiFiTech forums are also unreachable. So there's nowhere to report problems except here. Today I've been trying to get a flight going for the past 3 hours and ASN is just plain stuck. Hey all, I'm running P3DV2.2 (Professional Plus) with Hot-Fix v 2.2.10438.0. I have installed FSX-SP2 SimConnect client v10.0.61259.0 on both client and server. All networked drivers have been successfully mapped. Firewalls are turned OFF. virus software is turned OFF. When I start ASN v1.0.5210.22113 I get Sim Connection: Waiting for Simulator ... this never changes (P3DV2.2 is running) and no weather is injected. The log file seems to indicate it's finding and connecting to P3D_SimConnect, however the UI reports no such connection and no weather is injected.
