I too am experiencing random crashes (actually freeze ups) after about 5 or 10 minutes of flying. I get: "problem receiving Sim,Connect data: exception from HRESULT: 0xC000013c (error) Source=". I've read most of the posts on this board, and noticed others with a similar problem. I've done the SP1 uninstall-reinstall, but that didn't work. Should I start over by doing a repair from the FSX DVD then install SP1? What about Net Framework 2.0? I'm running out of ideas, and getting pretty frustrated. I seek advise from anyone who can help. Hello,I just got the ASX bundle. I have read the manual but am having trouble setting and appying wx to a flight using wx configurator. I am sure I am missing something simple. I am inserting my departure and destination ICAO's in the flight plan window through the briefing screen. I go to the wx configurator screen and dial in winds, a cb layer at 400 overcast with a thickness of 25000ft with rain. I set visibility at 1 mile. I click on the apply wx button and it says everything worked. I start FSX and at my departure airport there is only scattered and broken clouds. The rain is there. I take off thinking the wx will kick in, but I am flying in scattered clouds the whol…

I'm having problems in getting ASX to work properly on my new computer running VISTA Ultimate. I previously configured ASX/SimConnect on my old computer running Win XP-Pro without any problems. I'm using a Linksys Router and Norton 360, those were also used old my old computer running WinXP. I believe my problem is identifying which IP address or computer name should I use when modifying the SimConnect.xml file:1. My computer name is: Txxxxxxx-PC the [x's ] hide the name used.2. I run AV6 on FS9 and to best tune it i have set on Nhancer AA combined 16x (I have an Nvidia 7950GX2 with the last drivers).Opening Active radar all the screen below it comes all black and only pressing again CTRL F12 i can have the Fs9 screen back.The only way to solve the problem is to set AA Multisampling or Supersampling 4x, but loosing all the graphic benefits of other setting.There is a solution on this problem?Thanks for the support

Hello supportFirst off let me post the contents of my latest XEngine.log file and you can see if the file looks OK. One problem may be the 10th line from the top.There is no file in the described location, only the various sub folders. I don't know if there should be a file 'Downloadstations.dat'in that folder. It seems that after I installed XGraphics and ActiveSkyX all the exterior lights on the Maule appear off even when turned on. (beacon, navs, strobes) In the interest of troubleshooting can anyone else tell me if their Maule lights appear to be normal? Thanks.

I am currently flying an ASW-28 around Sion Switzerland. I'm spiralling nicely in the same thermal that's been just south of the airport since I took off, getting between 400 and 900 fpm and it's nice and wide. So I have plenty of time to play with ridge lift.... and its not working.The wind, once I get to 6000ft is from the due south at 12 knots. About a mile away to the north is a rising slope, rising to some 11,000ft to a ridge. Based on intuition and the contents of the AS manual I 'expect' that if I fly close to the slopes of the north valley ridge, given that I have a tail wind rising up the slope beneath me, I should get some lift.I don't. When flying around thunderstorms the lighting seems to shooot out of broken/scatterd clouds. Is this correct? Also why does there seems not to be thunderstorms that rize to high altitudes? In Active Sky 6.5 you could set the highest altitudes for thunderstorms.

For AS6.5Once AS graphics is opened and the graphics is sent (submitted), prior to starting FS9.Can ASG be "closed" or do both AS and ASG need to remain running during when MSFS9 is started and during the flight.

Hello, I am newly installing ASX and am getting a simconnect not found message. I read your post about deleting SKD(SP1) and then re-installing it, but that did not seem to solve the problem. Also I tried to install .NET 2.0 but my system said it was already on board (Vista). Interestingly, when looking through add/remove programs, it says I have .NET 1.1. I don't know if that makes any difference. Any thoughts?em

First off ASX and XGraphics are great products.Have been a big fan of your stuff way back since AS5. Have been recieving a strange error message when I start ASX after FSX is running...(FSX Station database files must be modified.Please close FSX first and press OK to continue).This only occurs when FSX is opened first and not if ASX is opened then FSX.According to the forum I should be able to start them in any sequence without problems.Any ideas?ThanksChris

I am awaiting a fresh copy of ASv6.5, planning to use the archived data feature of it because I dont have internet access @ home, from where I do my flying.I wanted to know more about these (archived data) files to download.1.Could I download 2-3 years worth of real world weather in a relatively short time perioud, one evening??2.How much space does one year's worth of weather files occupy?? mb??3.And can these files be backed up?? so I would not have to haul my PC to a location, with internet connection AGAIN ;-) In case I have to reinnstall or reconfigure something.Thanks in advance.Golli.

I have been so disappointed with the overcast conditions. For example on cloudy rainy overcast days when taking off from an airport only a couple of miles from my home all looks great and realistic at ground level according to the real tme weather data from Actice sky X. But as soon as I climb into the clouds and above, instead of seeing a blanket of crisp white clouds beneath me the clouds become scattered as if it is a fair weather day. I can see the ground everywhere almost. Just not very realistic. I have all my settings full on regarding weather on FSXI just hope the new upcoming update will fix this.

Hi. Ever since I installed XG and ASX I don't have any external lights on the Maule. I think I got them at night but during daytime nothing is visible - beacon, navs, strobe. I tried changing lightning styles but no go. Thanks for any help.

Hi,What will happen in this area? Is Active Sky for FS9 dead, as in no further development?I realize that right now fixing ASX is important...There are a few things I'd really like see improved on in ASv6.As a user with no plans to move to FSX I really hope there will be more coming for FS9.Damian, if you contact me I might have something for you ;)

Hello Gentlemen,I fly with real weather on all the time and I often practice IFR where I can find the worst conditions. My problem is, say I shoot an approach into a place with 4 miles and a 200 foot overcast. Inevitably, I break out at 1000 feet, with visibility around ten miles.x(Is there something that I can tweak in AS6 to reflect the real weather more accurately? The weather in the sim is consistently better than the METARs report.

Hello Everyone,I need to gather some information:For those experiencing sudden, violent wind shifts, please disable the Virtual Station option and the Enhanced Route Coverage option in ASX. Then make sure you save your settings and restart FSX and ASX.Then make your high altitude flights as normal, but watch the winds readout in FSX and see if this changes anything for the better.Please post just your findings here!
