Hi, i would like to express my wish here for a option in future update of ASX. A option to choose the cloud type to be depicted above FL200 or 240 or something like that. Reason for this is i find the cumulus layers at 33 or even 35000 feet not realistic, it should be more like stratus (thin layer). Now often i'm aproaching a cumulus wall like a coldfront, but these to my knowledge do not exist in real at these altitudes. Maybe this was discussed before, then my apologie i didn't do a search.Regards, Gerrit

Recently I tried various themese within Active Sky Graphics before returning to using the online updating feature of ASV6. As I normally fly on VASTIM I tend to just use ASV6.Before I experimenetd with ASG my sky was a decent shade of blue, now it is more of a mucky grey/blue. At first IO thought this was just the lcoacl wather (of whereever I was flying) however I now suspect that I've messed something up and ASV6 isn't updating the graphics.Attached are two pics I took before the problem started - 2 pics after and my .ini fileCheers

Is there a fix for this? I have a Dell Dimension 9200 with VISTA business. I installed FS2004, Bogota scenery, PMDG 747, FSUIPC 3.72 and ActiveSky 6 SU5. When I start FS2004, activesky does not recognise my location. Thanks,Xander

After numerous uninstalls I've found there is a bug with the landing lights texture and RealAirs FSX aircraft. Without loading the landing light and strobe textures from X Graphics I was able to get my landing lights to work again.Could someone from HiFi please take a look at this issue.I really enjoy both products and want to use them to their fullest. Is SP1 (Xsky & XGraphics) already addressing this issue?Thank you for your time and consideration.ed

This pops up every time I start X-Graphics. I put in the code and it works fine, but if I close it, when I start it again I have to put it in again. It's only on this windows account too. Works normal on all the others. Also, in ASX, it says "XGFX not installed on this system" where I have the option to install textures. Any help?http://s25.photobucket.com/albums/c92/sgtk...untitled-24.jpgP.S.- Hey Tim, it's Starbucks747 from FSW. :D

I've recently uninstalled FS9 and a lot of add-ons like Active Sky in order to make the move to FSX.However, I can't remove/delete several entries for Active Sky in add/remove programs on my pc.They are:1. Active Sky 2004 special install for WxRE users (when I try to remove it I get a message saying WxRE not found)2. ASV enhanced upgrade (I get an error message saying ASV must be installed to run this update)3. ASV/AE 512x512 cloud texture resolution sets 1, 2 & 3.(I get a message saying ASV must be installed)I've tried various processes like REGEDIT and a programme called Tweak UI but to no avail.Any suggestions as to how I can get rid of these annoying entries?I al…

I'm sure this has been covered but I can't find the solution. Is there a way to eliminate the low level of haze which appears so frequently. It really spoils the enjoyment of the views.Bud

First, I apologize for the length of the appended text. Active Sky X is installed and appears to work successfully except for the weather download - a rather material problem. As shown by the log data (below), the system is connected to the server "Successful connection to HiFi DataNet X Servers is verified!", and all seems to function well. Having read the FAQ, I am lead to believe that if the connection is made to the server, then there should be no problem with the weather. Any assistance / ideas would be appreciated! I just installed AFX, the new Flight 1 AFCAD software, and my ASX stopped communicating with FSX. After I uninstalled AFX, ASX could link with FSX again. ASX links to FSX over a network. Can anyone provide help on how to enable AFX and ASX at the same time?Doug

Very simple question: can you direct ASv6 to generate random weather for a zone, provided some parameters? I couldn't find anything about this aspect, implemented in alternative products like Weather Maker Pro or Wetter 2004.Thanks in advance,JAMM

Hi ThereSorry if this is a repeat question. I read somewhere that you can add the X Gauge as a Screen page to the Garmin 1000 MDF? Is that possible? And if so, where can I find a HowTo?

HiI now have a problem with AS: After flying for a while fs seems to loose contact to AS. Even if I clear all weather with FSUIPC and download new scenery it doesnt always work (sometimes it does, and the problem doesnt occur all the time). For instance: I see the metar for the closest station report - it says cloudy. On the left side of fs it says few cloud (in the decoded sector) but in fs its all clear.thanks for a great product excpet this//ASv6.5 configuration file Build 551[General]WindowPosX = -60WindowPosY = 465DefaultWeatherFolder = C:Program FilesMicrosoft GamesFlight Simulator 9ModulesASv6SuppressionCeiling = 10000SurfaceWindLimit = 10FS9Path = C:Program FilesMi…

Hey there, I am unable to get any files to share between 2 vista computers EXCEPT on one folder called, characteristically enough, SHARE. Can I move the necessary FSX folders into that SHARE folder to accomplish the file sharing, or do they need to stay in their original location. Finally, do I cut and paste, or copy.thanks, eric

Anybody else find that inland water on 1xlow settings shows inland water as black in FSX? I'm using a 7900GT card. This isn't really a request for a resolution but purely so I know if anybody else has the problem. Maybe it's a glitch with 7xxx cards similar to the purple water effect.

So I gave up on ActiveSky for a while and tried playing around with it again today. It is giving me an error message which states: "One or more programs you are using is not accredited for access to an unregistered copy of FSUIPC. Please see the FSUIPC.Log for details." I was under the impression FSUIPC can be used with ActiveSky 6.0 as unregistered. In either case, is this the reason why my weather is not downloading (Current location states DGTK)? I have FSUIPC 3.75 so it should work.

When I set up weather at an airport, and wish to enter a new cloud layer, I get asked both the altitude of the cloud, and the "thickness" of it. I'm unsure as to whether the "thickness" refers to the height above the cloud base, or the depth below the cloud ceiling. I'm preparing some instrument flight scenarios, with a broken layer slightly below circling minimums, so the term "thickness" is critical on how I go about doing that. Thanks, Bruce.

I had two questions before purchase.1) Do you have to setup the weather everytime you play the game or if you do a flight in game it will default to ASX's weather?2) Does this program fix FSX's issue of sudden weather changes when the update occurs?
