Hello, I have xpax installed with flight sim commander 8 on a client laptop. I have been having issues with my client machine CTD about 25 min before arrival at the dest airport.It happens more than not. One time from kdfw to krno the screen got a little fuzzy but did not CTD. I just flew from ksfo to kden and it crashed abot 90 miles out. Screen just goes black.Is there a windows log I can look at to figure out the problem? or a xpax log? I have 2.5 gb of memory and all hardware is up to date. I,m running vista 32 with amd 1.8 dual core athlon 64x2.I have full version FSUPIC with wide fs and Fs commander works every time by it self. Any help would be great.Tom

ASX seems to run well, but in FSBuild the ONLY winds aloft I get is the anticipated winds I put in on the aircraft page... on the flight plan I get absolutely NO winds... I did a search for the "Current_wx_snapshot.txt" file.... and it doesn't find such a file on my system... did I miss something somewhere??? As I said... ASX runs fine and finds the FSBuild route fine too. It would just be nice for FSBuil2 to get the winds aloft from ASX. I KNOW the file it looks for is "Current_wx_snapshot.txt" file.... but as I said,,,, I can't find it on my system. HiI have been using ASX build 1160 for some time with FSX SP 2, Vista Home. Never had any problems apart from wind until last few days.After a few minutes I get the folling message from VistaX-Engine has stopped working and will be closed.I have re-installed - no successI have uninstalled (with difficulties) and re-installed - did one long haul flight with no problem. Although last two flights have resulted in the same.I installed V-route recently and thought that might have caused the problem, so I used a flight plan from FSBuild - same error.I had tried wind smoothing recently - disabled this - same errorTotally lost, is there a log file that may assist.I also run FSC…

Enjoy XPax very much but find that I cannot use it with the PMDG MD-11 passenger version. Apparently the way XPax loads the weights it changes the CG in a way that is not reflected when programming the CDU. Have others had this problem and is there a work-around?Thanks,Jeff EvansRocklin, CA, USA

HI,I noticed for the past week or so that ASX has not changes the weather servers data from VATSIM. For example FSCommander has done so. The result: after loading a flight and data ASX will crash after about 3 to 4 minutes. Do you guys plan to issue a fix for that?

I don't quite understand the purpose of the visibility sliders. I thought visibility was determined by the weather condition data received by ASX. So if I choose a real world weather condition that has 10 mile visibility, but in ASX, if I chose 200SM for all 3 vis sliders, what visibility is going to get rendered by FSX. Will it be the real world 10 mile vis. or will it be the 200SM vis. since that's what option I used for my slider settings?Thanks for any info...

1. Does XPax randomize load of passengers and cargo for each flight on the same type of the a/c? Or does it just always offer the same maximal number of passengers for the chosen A/C in the Passenger Manifest window?2. How is the luggage/cargo weight calculated? Can I modify it manually to adjust anywhere in the setting files?I'm using ACLoader to spice up my flying, it gives random number of passengers and cargo (and writes it in the aircraft.cfg file) before I even start the FS. I was flying with actual weather downloaded with ASX and using FEX for cloud textures when it seems not realistic in terms of the actual layers of clouds that were being reported. The actual conditions were 7 SM visibility, overcast 400. The 7 mile visibility that ASX was generated seemed right, but as I was passing through 400 FT AGL there was no generated overcast cloud layer. I could still see the ground, no clouds until say about 4000-6000 FT AGL. Any recommendations? Maybe I need to change my settings. Hi there,Could you tell me how I can achieve a complete overcast view at high altitude with FSX and ASX?I can do this in FS9 by adjusting the sight distance and the cloud draw distance.In FSX the former seems to have been removed.Is it also possible to achieve a nice atmospheric haze in ASX similar to REX?Can this be arrived at by tweaking the ASX settings?Many thanksDavid

I'm having trouble with ASX depicting accurate real world weather and I can't seem to figure out where I'm going wrong. For instance, today in my area, it's a very clear sky with just a few puffy cumulus clouds. When ASX depicts the weather in FSX, it's doing the puffy clouds accurately, but it's adding a very heavy high level cirrus cloud layer and also rendering an odd solid line that seems to cut into the cumulus cloud layer (See pic just above the right wing).I have unchecked the SkyScape option like I read in another thread, but that's not making a difference. Will ASA haze layer eliminator change the transparency of the layer seen from above and leave the visibility the same below.I think the haze layers in FSX are terrible looking and totally unrealistic when near or above the top of the haze layer. I get a layer that seems to take over any clouds so the most prominent feature becomes the sea of milk. When the haze is turned off the clouds come back and look much better with more IMC in clouds possible. Is there a work around before ASA comes out. I don't have Xgraphics but do have FEX. I note that AS always refers to wind direction in "true" terms eg. the other day i had at KJFK 132degrees true from AS. So is it correct that if I go to KJFK in FS9 and press SHIFT-Z I will see the wind as 145 degrees "magnetic" ?Equally at EGLL I get 70 true from AS , and FS9 shows this as 75 magnetic.I may be stupid but I have only just noticed this !!!

Need some more help unfortunately.All of a sudden ASG has stopped running, won't even load. I'm running Active Sky on a WideFS Laptop, AS is still working OK and updating weather on the Server but ASG won't even start. I just get the cursor with hour glass for a few seconds and then nothing.Any clues as to what I can check to get it working again.Also using GEPro on the client which is now working fine too.

After a reformat and reinstallation of XP with SP3 installed I am unable to get ASX to connect to FSX. I get the following error:simconnect SP1 managed version was not found to be correctly isntalled on this system.....etcI know it is installed correctly as I used the AI example and it saw FSX. I also ran Squawkbox and it sees and connects to FSX. I have reinstalled ASX 4 times up to SP3 build 1161 and reinstalled the simconnect.msi files 6 times. ASX still gives me the error above. I have reinstalled this program 2 or 3 times before and never had this problem. Any ideas would be helpful. Xgraphics installed just fine with no problems. Ken

I have been having a problem for the last week. It appears that ASX is shutting itself down and I can't work out why. I run it on a separate PC and up until a week ago it was working without issues. Now when I go to the other PC I find it not running and the task is shut down. Restarting it again does the same thing. I have tried to watch it and see what happens but it always seems to do it while I am not looking.Any way to turn on some logging to see what it is doing and why it shuts down?

Hi,ive got a problem,downloading, initialising and output works! If iam in fsx, the weather is updating, i think one minute... no problems... everyting ist ok..but after the next 1-2 minutes, the hole weather disapears completly.. than its fine weather in fsx...for example, iam in madeira, asx is refreshing weather... now there is rain, how it is shown on the weatherradar...after 2 minutes, i have clear sky, another wind... everything...on the weatherradar, theres still rain, but not in fsx...i read in a other thread, that there are problems with wind... but thats not so important at the moment!more important ist the weather at the moment...SP3 is installed, FSUIPC too...…
