CaptainsAfter 8 hours of smooth sailing with ASA and the PMDG MD11, I started to get the constant left-right banking & S Turns as well in turbulent air.I disconnected the AP and flew manually for a few minutes, the noise was still there as I had to give constant lef-right input to keep the plane at least semi straight.So it is not ASA interference with the AP logic but probably a constant significant change in the weather environment, maybe a mix of turbulence input and DWC trying to smooth it out at the same time.I disabled DWC and the issue disappeared, switched back-on and everything stays smooth.Give it a shot.Merry XMASJoerg

Hi, Just wondering.... I notice that ASA is built to be able to mix and match. Meaning you can use the ASA weather engine and any other graphics program for clouds, etc. Can ASX do this as well or do you have to upgrade to get this? I am interested in trying REX with ASX

I'm just wondering if ASA will pop up over at simMarket as well and if so, when. Thanks.

Hiya peeps, ok i have FS9 on XP, i also use FSPassengers - Traffic 2006 - My Naval traffic - and a registered version of FSUIPC 3.85 , all have worked brill untill i purchased ASA Yesterday, now i am getting random black screen then the message "FS has encountered a problem and needs to close" the last one was just at the end of a 5hr flight (On Final) with satisfied passengers grr, also i dont think its talking or downloading in the sim ok, i have it set for 5min updates but there are no changes in baro pressure over Europe, i have to either keep shutting it down (ASA) or fly with perfect weather, it should be noted that on shut down (ASA) and restart the weather alters…

Hi all, I am a long time ASv6 user. I am running FS9 on a P4-3.06Ghz with 2gigs of ram, Radeon X1650 AGP with 512mgs of ram. I sometimes have to turn off detailed clouds to run smooth. What do you think, should I upgrade. It is going to be a while until I can afford a computer to run FSX. Any thoughts on compatibility or performance? Thanks.Pat Callaghan

Ok, I am getting all sorts of problems with wind shift. I've been blown on and off course for the last 50 NM climbing out of Atlanta. I have the Enable DWC option checked and turned the weather of in a registered copy of FSUIPC. I also tried it with wind smoothing turned on in FSUIPC and received the same issue. The MFD in PMDG shows the wind direction as being steady but yet I was being blown all over the place.Update, regardless on weather I use ASA windsmoothing or ASA with FUSIPC I fly the crazy S curves all over the sky trying to maintain my heading. Hi allI just bought ASA and installed it on my Vista 32bit premium PCAfter that, I opened the GRAPHICS page and made an extension to graphicsNote: I have ASv6 WX engine with ASG installed on FS9So, I followed the instructions to extend graphics integration using the related button. Then I performed the processing of all ASG data for each weather condition.This resulted in a lot of graphics options coming from ASGSo, all seemed to be Ok EXCEPT that I cannot see any screenshot of each of the wx conditions newly generated. Hi,I was just wondering, I decided to try ASX on a client PC. I already had ASX, Xgraphics installed on server and decided to install it also on my client. I was able to connect and configure everything just fine however, from my client PC, the weather was not updating FSX. When I tried to use ASX from my server PC leaving all the required settings for WideFS and simconnect still configured on the client, it did not work anymore. So I removed all the settings from my client PC, unshared all the neccesary folders from server and deleted the required ports. Hello, I downloaded and installed ASA without any problems, however when I run it the main screen hangs at Start Download Content Result Check. I've tried to run it three time and it just sits there. I updated from ASX.Ok, problem solved. On the fourth try I got a window that popped up informing me that my copy was not registered or Invalid. I hit ok and everything seems to work now.TanksAndy

I've upgraded from ASV6.5 to ASA on FS9, I did a short flight between Munich and Linz. The bad, it took a while initially before FS would load on the weather around 3-4 minutes after about 3 refreshes. All looked well so took off, when getting above 10000 feet and getting into the upper winds aloft it became very choppy the wind was going from 150 @26 to 48kts in one hit, and then it would swap to 340 degrees again in one hit so the AP was having real difficuly in coping with the loss of speed, it did this for the remainder of the flight wind speed dropping from 40-50kts down to 25-30kts and changing direction in 40-90 degree hits! I have just downloaded and installed ASA and have a few questions. I am trying to get my head around how ASA works. I like to fly with real world weather and as I understand it to display cloud textures I need to install say X-Graphics or REX and take snapshots of those textures. I have purchased REX but am hesitant to install it due to the various problems users seem to be experiencing so now I am considering X-Graphics as an alternative. Can someone explain to me in very simple terms how to load textures into ASA and then how to simply fly using real world weather with those textures. Also if no snapshots are taken, will ASA just use FSX textures to display weather?Than…

Hi, Gereat product but I need a little help. I recently converted to FSX and went from AS6 to ASX. I have Windows XP and SP2 installed for FSX. I read the entire manual and I am having problems downloading weather into FSXCheck me and see if I am missing anything1) Turn on ASX2) Go to Briefing and import a flight plan.
