Hi, again I posted many messages before for ASX wind weird problem . Now I bought ASA and installed it on FS9 (I'm a AS65 user). I didn't never had any problem in the past with AS65/FS9. Now using ASA I noticed same wind problem as FSX. So for now I continue starting AS65. I waste my money :( Rob

Happy 2009 everyone.I would like your help here. I am trying to uninstall ASv6 through add/remove programs and I get the message " Another installation is already in progress. Complete that installation before proceeding with this install" ????On the other hand I am trying to install ASA (just purchased) and I get another wired message "Error 1500. Another insatllation is already in progress........"Does anybody know what is wrong? Is it a windows xp prof. 64bits problem? Dear allFirst of all congratulations to Hifisim for another excellent product, ASA is simply spectacular and for sure the new frontier in FS9/FSX weather simulation.Like many other users, I face a few issues, I'm using XP64 and still get the OOM errors occasionally, however only after being airborne for 10+ hours in dense add-on scenery.My large wind shifts in ASA are pretty much under control with DWC enabled and FSUIPC wind smoothing off, however I get the S turns in the MD11 from time to time.So far I was able to bring them under control with switching from FMS SPD to manual managed MACH, however today it is extremely bad.The S turns in my case are not caused by large …

Just thought I would share a couple of screenshots and a brief explanation what is happening when to me when I use ASA. I have been following the threads so I know Hi-Fi is working on a solution to a lot of what is happening. This post is not a rant or a complaint, just an effort to help explain both verbally and graphically what is happening when I use ASA. is it just me or is any1 else having strange weather shifts around england? i start asa, get the report,start fs9 and the weather loads almost stright away which is lovely jubley and then it goes all overcast then 5 seconds later back to normal and then overcast and then(you get the idea :( ) this doesnt seem to happen anywhere else i fly from except england which is annoying as i live in london and fly from egll/egkk alot.ive done everything i can but this is sending me up the garden path :( any1 with the same prob or any suggestions?

In either ASX or ASA, when I am using historical weather data, do I want to use the 'Force to Real Time' (probably not) or 'Force to Sim Time' option or do I want neither of them check marked?

Hi All,Using ASA and XG with extended integration or ASA and REX textures, I have been losing livery textures for both AI aircraft and the plane being flown. If XG or REX don't overwrite aircraft textures then it seems that it may be a memory issue. If that's true then if the OOM problem is addressed in a patch it should fix my problem. But if that's not the case or anybody has a different idea of why I'm losing the aircraft textures, I would appreciate your help and suggestions.ThanksJeb

I've just installed active sky 6.5 and need some help.I have flight environment and ground enviro pro installed.I loaded a flight plan from heathrow and loaded up my sim and the weather looked realisic.Then i slewed up and I wasnt able to see any blue skies until I was at 34,000 feet. Im sure this isn't right because looking out of my window i can see little patches of sky through the clouds.Can anybody help me out with how to set AS up so i ONLY use textures from flight enviro and ground enviro pro and I am only getting the weather info from AS and no graphic effectsbecause my skies are basically white all over at all altitudes until i set weather to clear and then I hav…

Hi Jim..I have been without AS6 for about a year do to other issues..Just getting it all set back up...Having a bit of a struggel...Flying with online updates is great...My rig handles all it will toss at it...BUTUseing the graphics interface I select items as I used to,and send to FS, but when I load a flight it is very choppy..Like every second it chops the whole screen....Is there a post somewhere that shows a pictorial of the interface and proper settup? I have FSUIP installes in the FS modules folder and have turned off weather in modlus in the sim....I must have some thing set up wrong..Any links or advice would be great....Thanks...And Happy Holidays to all...This …

Hi all - and a happy new year!I have a severe problem when running ASA: Since I have installed ASA for FSX (XPack) the IAS drops to zero quite frequently when ASA is running. If I save the flight and close FSX, then close ASA and restart the saved flight, it is sometimes better but sometimes IAS drops again to zero. But if I open the saved flight (without ASA running) and activate the FSX Real Weather, the problem is gone. The IAS also comes back, when I close ASA during the flight (which is not recommended) and activate FSX weather (real or predefined). I have also installed FSUIPC, but deactivating it, does not cure the problem. So it really looks like a ASA_FSX weather…

When I start ASA and after it initializes it minimizes and I am unable to restore it. It shows it is running in my taskbar but when I click on it I get nothing. Anybody know why this may be or how to fix it?Thank you

I have been using ASv6.5 since its release and my introduction to Flight Simming and after viewing screenshots for the new ASA I decided to upgrade. I use both FS9 and FSX and I have been leaning towards using FSX now that there are some decent payware airplanes that are available. Now for my question. Hello,I am interested in upgrading to ASA and in the past purchased AS6.5 as well as ASX. The issue I have is this is a new computer and I do not have any of my licenses. Does HiFi keep a database of past customers so I am still able to take advantage of the sizeable discount for past ASX purchasers?I DO have my original receipt from my online payment if that helps.Also, I logged into ther HiFi shop and my ASX order information is there. Hi,I noticed a strange Problem (partly my fault) yesterday: - ASA briefing finished (Remote PC) then starting FS9, Position at LOWW (FlyTampa Vienna Scenery), LevelD 763 loaded. - Started WideClient, ASA - FS9 Connection with succes, ASA Reload/depict again. Depending on the Global Position ASA requires a few minutes to reload/depict again-in the Meantime i prepared the LDS and made some FMC Inputs via the PC Keyboard. Suddenly ASA sent the "Refresh AI" command during my Keyboard inputs. AI Refresh is associated wit a Scenery Load, but the scenery reloaded incomplete. Some Textures were missing. - Reloading the Scenery manually, Restarting FS9, rebooting the machine, all…

Hi. For several months I have installed ACTIVE SKY. Since yesterday, when I open it, I get out, in sequence, these signals error: " Fatal Execution Engine Error (0x7927f26e)" "Application has generated an exeption that could not be handled. Process id=0x52c(1324), Thread id=0x304(772)" "Registered JIT debugger is not available. An attempt to launch a JIT debugger with the following command resulted an error code of 0x2 (2). Please check computer settings. cordbg.exe !a0xd08 Click on Retry to have the process wait while attaching a debugger manually. Clock on Cancel to abort the JIT debug request." What should I do to solve the problem? Thank you.

Instead of the 2mins stated on the dialog box when downloading historical weather, I get times in excess of 8 and more minutes for a single hour (ASA log file is attached). My ADSL internet connection does never drop and the WiFi I have goes up well above 860 kBits/s download.Andreas

I've set up a multiple download of historical weather (30 Dec 08, 8 hours from 00:00-08:00). Attached is a log of what ASA did in downloading. Only a single file is created (2008-12-30_00Z.Wx), is this correct? And, I don't really understand what the times in the ASA logfile mean (e.g. "Downloading global weather data for 12/30/2008 12:00:00 AM (07Z)").Andreas

I am considering an upgrade to ASA from ASX. I use two computers but never could get the problematic simconnect process to cooporate. Does ASA allow you the option of using FSUIPC/WideFS instead of Simconnect with FSX?Thanks,Eric Fields

The time ASA needs to load and initialize is extremely long (I don't have the internet always on). Any plans to improve this?Andreas

Jim S--I recently reinstalled AS6.5 and I have registered FSUIPC--during cruise with A/P engaged and altitude set in MCP/FMC, I'm getting annoying altitude bumps of between 40-100 feet. I deselected VAS/vertical air in options section of AS6.5, but still have the altitude "wandering" around the set altitude. I seem to recall a post or two from the community which talked about a workaround--sloppy altitude hold. This started when I reinstalled AS6.5.I am aware that FS9 itself has altitude "holes or spikes" over the N Atlantic and a few other places, but the anomoly I described above happens all over and in all my aircraft (Level D, PMDG, PSS, Wilco).Any thoughts?ThanksR…
