Weather is generated when I start FSX from ASA, for the first time.Don't know about the memory issue, but I'm going to take a flight right now to check it out.One thing I have noticed is the low frames rates experienced from spot view, but rates return to 'normal' when in the VC. Thought that was somewhat interesting.Thanks to all for all your hard work on this. Hopefully my flight goes without a hitch :(

I've installed GEPro and compiled both ground and sky textures. I've enabled "GEPro Submit on New FP Force Sky" and enabled the GEPro button in AS6.5. I use ASG "Auto Submit" and "Wx Influenced" Does AS6.5 do everything so that I don't have to open GEPro, and am I set up correctly to fully use GEPro? Are there any setting changes needed for ASGraphics now that I'm using GEPro? As always, thanks.

During cruise in PMDG MD-11 FS9 version with AS6.5, when the winds decrease or increase in speed, I'm getting some pretty erratic airspeed swings from losing 30-40kts to gaining 30-40 and putting me into an overspeed condition.I have FSUIPC (registered version) and click FSUIPC wind smoothing in AS6.5 options settings. I've played with the VAS setting and the suppress wind gusts/turbulence setting within FSUIPC to no avail. The only fix has been to disable winds aloft entirely within AS6.5 options--less than optimal.I suspect (as I've read) the combination of AS6.5 and PMDG MD-11. I occassionally get some airspeed swings in PMDG 747 and Level D but not to this degree.A…

I am observing a strange thing with ASA running (does not happen without ASA): When I right-click and select "Tower" or "Runway", I see ALL the airports and runways I passed on the current flight. I just did EFHK-LPPT and have over 90 airports in the list. Same with Runways. When I quit ASA, the list shrinks to the normal "nearest". This seems to be an ASA bug.

HiI'm now getting error messages after trying to import flightplans. It happens when I click "ok" to install weather textures.My os is a XP32 Danish edition but with English internatonal settings. The funny thing is that this didn't happen before installing this update, which should correct this error!!! :( Just some nice to know info for the developers.Soren

Just wondering how everyone has their cloud options set, specifically the number of layers and the three 'Generation' options at the bottom? I just want to make sure my settings will give me the most realistic presentation possible and since i'm a newb, i'm not sure what gives the best results.

I download and installed the Beta Build 355 and noticed that the AI refresh is gone. It does not refresh the AI after the weather has loaded. I noticed the "Depiction Output Active" stays on. Usually when the weather is finished transmitting into FS that will go off. Any ideas? I am a WideFS user.

After several tests of the "multiple dates/times" download feature on the "Historical" page (I set 24 rows for a passed by date, one for each hour starting at 00:00 and eding at 23:00) I'm sure the routine that's intended to save the data onto the disk is buggy:Instead of creating a separate file for each downloaded hour, only 1 or 2 files are created. In the log one can clearly see that the download saves subsequent hours into the same file, I assume the file's contents are replaced each time. It's not reproduceable for me if and when the routine switches to a different file, the results I got were different.When downloading using the "single date/time" option, the files…

The temps that ASA is giving to FSX appear to be way off the mark. I took a flight this morning where the real life outside temps were 21 degrees (F) and ASA was giving a FSX a reading of 45 degrees. For test purposes, I loaded the same time\weather using ASX and it gave FSX the correct temps.

I have a problem with ASA on my laptop (1400 x 1050 resolution):ASX works fine at the same resolution (but I recall a similar problem with one of the first ASX builds). This is with the latest beta build.Tom

I've recently purchased ASA and I've been very impressed with the visuals and the interface. I am having a small issue with accuracy/realism of the depicted weather. I'm on right now (1/8/2009 19:20 Eastern time, U.S.) Setting up the map view to center on KBOS and the Zoom to 300 miles, I looked at stations around the area.Some of the interpolated stations (example: NH38) are reporting "light rain" even though the surface temperature is -7.1C. Not at all realistic. Is there any way to force precipitation to take air temperature into account? Hi, I just bought the ASA Upgrade a few days ago and I have some problems to report. Im sure you got reports of some of this before. 1. All the winds are stuck in winds aloft mode. One example is KASE the reported winds were 310@5kts and the winds aloft report for 9k feet are 220@7kts. If I check my winds I get winds from 220 on the ground, What happened to the surface layer? Another thing is when I get to my dest, My winds sometimes go half aloft and half surface, For example Im landing rw29 with reported winds 290@30G50Kts Winds Aloft 240@???(cant remember). Not to be a pest or irritate those with ASA problems, but I just completed another perfect flight with it. Wx matched at take-off and landing, and appeared to be consistent enroute. Had some nice turbulence, which I PIREP'd, and a few gusts on climb out. All in all a great flight.I'm enjoying ASA! Thanks HiFi! :(

Okay, so I just bought the ASA upgrade for ASX, got it installed with no problems. Loaded up a flight and flight plan in FSX and ASA, but I do not see any change in the weather effects, nor can I lock the ASA map to the FS position. I have ASA (and ASX) setup up on a client PC, properly networked and setup with SimConnect to my FSX PC. Prior to upgrading to ASA, Active Sky X worked great in my setup. I have tested the SimConnect settings AFTER the ASA install using the AI Traffic program as suggested in the ASA (and ASX) documentation, and it reports a good connection. Yet, I still get no confirmation of any kind in FSX that ASA is connected, nor can I lock the map in AS…

Why does ASA refresh FS scenery after a few mins of loading? I'm running ASA on another computer and using WideFS. Everything seems to be working perfectly except suddenly about 5 mins after running the ASA program FS reloads and sets my aircraft in a different position causing my aircraft to crash into a building or ocean or at a different time (earlier or later time than originally set) The lastest example was I'm sat on the ground at Stansted, local time is 12.13Z then suddenly FS tells me is reloading and it reloads me at 15:18Z - any explanation? Hi,upgraded from ASv6 to ASA and started using FSX. I'm running ASA on a second PC connected to the PC running FSX through SimConnect and FSUIPC/WideFS. When starting ASA it complains about a missing SimConnect Client but when it finally loaded it connects fine to FSX and i get correct WX in FSX (running that SDK sample AI Traffic Application described in the manual also works fine).I noticed that running ASA causes FSX to reload Scenery, AI Traffic from multiple times (which is pretty annoying to be honest) and when this happens for the second, third or fourth time FSX just hangs.
