I get the smaller loading page, then when that is finished, the larger GUI cannot be seen.It was working fine yesterday.So I uninstalled/re-installed >> same problem, cant even enter the serial key now...Allen

Hello,I am running FS9.1 with FSUIPC 3.8.5.0 (registered version) and WindowsXP Home.Installed ASA (upgrade from ASV6.5) and did not change anything on the option page.My major problems using ASA are:It seems, that ASA does not update weather inflight; I never saw the scrolling text on all of my flights (box checked) using ASA. I am using FSFlightKeeper with the option "Real Time Weather", as ASA is not supported yet and it shows me the updated wind directions for my destination while Xgauge always shows the original loaded situation. I am having difficulty getting the weather downloaded in ASX and displayed in the "REPORT" screen to actually appear in FSX. What I want is for weather to reflect the actual weather at tha location at that date and time, and update as I fly -- much like the old ASV6 offline sequence method which I used successfully with FS9 for a long time. Well, I found a solution for my oom problem. After taking off, reduce autogen to 0 and that will do the trick. ASA seems to keep autogen in memory and keeps adding to it. I'm not a computer expert so that's just my opinion. At 28K feet, I don't miss it very much :( Mark

I'm currently using ASA via a network. I have the latest fsuipc/widefs for fs9 installed on the server (fs9) and client (ASA). All shares are correct and fs9/fsuipc are configured as stated in the documentation. The problem is (unlike the network ASA/fsX configuration) is that it is not possible to "lock [the] FS position." Also wx configuration does not change anything on the server (fs9). The wideclient and wideserver logs have no errors (the connection between the client and server is successful). Hi.After installing Active Sky Advanced, the images are not as fluid with ASv6.5. Obviously the new program is more heavy. To eliminate the problem have to do some new setting?

It seems that after certain installations that my ASA control screen goes away. I DID read the other thread on this somewhere on this site, but the registry "solution" seems to elude me. I get the startup and then it buries itself on the lower left of my taskbar and it cannot be closed unless you do a Cntrl Alt Del to close it. I read about the REGISTRY alteration on another thread, but I'm not too familiar with adjusting registry values. I went into Reg Edit and tried to find HKCU\Software\HiFi\ASA\ActiveSettings\WindowPosX,WindowPosY.....and I CANNOT LOCATE IT IN THE REGISTRY. Hello,I need to bring an issue again with LGAV. I've checked previous messages and experimented with various stuff, but I still have problems with that particular airport.The issue is, that the runways in use most of the times do not agree with the wind conditions. I'm talking about obvious conditions where e.g. with a 03012 wind, the rwy in use is 21L/R. The most recent example is in the last days where the area is very windy with strong northern winds up to 20G34 knots but I still get rwy in use 21L/R.I'm using ASv6 with the latest update, and haven't touched any airports or wx_stations txt files. Good afternoon from UK. I purchased and [eventually] installed ASA yesterday, an upgrade from ASX. I have been "playing" with the product and am already looking forward to SP1. This morning, I uninstalled the ASX software from which ASA was "derived". I don't know what happened, but the whole FS *drive* was obliterated :( . I understand that removal of ASX was permitted following successful ASA installation, please confirm. I have used my "key" for the second time already, 1 failed install, 1 successful install and then this "mishap" will cause a third "activation". Hi all, For some reason I cannot seem to get Active Sky to just load the weather at the aircraft's current location and have it continue to load the correct weather as I fly. If I'm starting in Montreal, I need to manually load CYUL weather. Furthermore it will just be the same weather for the whole flight unless I load the destination weather. I would assume the default settings would be to just load the weather at the station nearest to the aircraft unless otherwise specified. What am I doing wrong?Also does anyone else have occasional runtime failures and crashes when running on Vista, FSX, and Squawkbox?

I have ASX working quite nicely with XGraphics and a registered version of FSUIPC to handle wind, pressure and temperature smoothing. I bought ASA mostly from curiosity, but found that the winds were all over the place and so went back to ASX while you guys worked on an update.For some other reason I decided to do a cleanup of my FSUIPC.INI file. I renamed it, let it build itself again, and copied the bits I wanted back from the old file. I also decided to give ASA another try, and guess what, the weather (and most importantly, the winds) accurately reflect the METARs and FSUIPC wind smoothing is perfect.Tom

Hello,as EDDI Tempelhof was closed last autumn I wonder now, if there's any Metar for it?I have found some weather sites which saying, that there's no metar available for EDDI.But in ASA theres a metar available for EDDI.So is there already a metar service or not?If not how will ASA handle it?Thank you very much!

Hi, Is ASX (Not ASA) supposed to depict some weather over trans-oceanic flights given a flight plan and setting enhancedroute/virtual stations in ASX seettings? I got perfectly clear weather with no winds the entire time over the pacific at 34,000 ft? I also get this occasionally over the US as well. Isn't ASX supposed to fill in these spots with some type of weather?

I've noticed that ASA doesn't seem to like me closing and restarting FSX.On the first run of FSX the weather depicted agrees with the METAR for the airport where I am, but after shutting down and restarting FSX it doesn't. EKCH altimeter tonight is 1039 mb and temperature is 2C. This was what I got on the first FSX launch, but on the second I got 1019 mb and 16C. Refreshing in ASA made no difference although ASA does show itself connected to FSX.This is independent of the aircraft - same problem in the default trike, PMDG MD-11 and Leonardo Maddog 2008. FSX is SP2 and I'm running ASA on a networked client computer.Tom

Hi Im not sure where you would like bugs reported, as I couldnt find any such link or pinned thread. So I'll just report it here and hope that you read it or better still pass this onto the correct person/department. I did start a thread on this forum eairlier asking if anyone else was getting errors/CTD with fsuipc as the cause but it was largely ignored so I contacted Peter at his site and he took up an the report. I have been sending him the error reports that his fsuipc program has been recording of the entire run time until the error/crash happens through fs9. He is going to be sending you a report of his findings so as you are able to help find a fix for this proble…

I've looked in the manual and searched the forum here and I can't find the answer to my question, so apologies if this has already been asked and I missed it...Is it possible to block download historical weather data? i.e. do I have to add a row in the download window for each hour I want, or can I specify a date/time and them how many subsequent hours I want to download (just like in ASV6)?If it's not possible can it be added as a feature for a future update?Thanks!

I just installed ASA and on a trial run in FSX did not see the usual green test message that ASA was initializing and again when it had completed loading. I have rechecked that the text message option is indeed checked. Thoughts?

Hello. I've bought ASA right after release and overally I'm very satisfied. Plenty of functions, good interface, works great. However there is one thing I'm missing. It's button called "Force FS weather refresh", just like in good old FSMetar. What this button would do is just to reconnect ASA to FSX, and inject current ASA weather, without delays or fade in and without antoher weather download from servers. For me it would be useful in many situations like:- loading previously saved flight- restarting a flight (for example because of crash)- restarting FSX (same reason as above ;) )- ASA temporarily loosing connection to FSX (on network configurations)- changing weather …

hi hifi developers,i know there was already a post regarding the switching of clouds between stratus and cumulus every 3 seconds. well the solution to this as mentioned by hifi was to reduce all the 4 cloud sliders to 0 and this is what i did exactly and there is no more cloud switching but there is cloud POPPING; i.e. every time the airplane travels across weather stations the clouds change suddenly and there is no smooth transition. keep in mind that i have tried both station based mode and global weather mode with visibility smoothing but to no avail. the weather is being depicted correctly, no doubt about that, except that the clouds change so suddenly it looks magic.…

I'm a little confused as to which mode (if either) prevents the snap-in weather effect. By that I mean where the cloud\weather depiction just suddenly changes instead of being a gradual change. Is it global or non-global mode that has the more gradual transition?
