Hi, I have a few questions about DWC and the way its works. I know alot of people always have wind shift problems withflight sim. DWC does fix this, however the wind shifts so slow sometimes it doesn't get to the right direction before you land. I was wondering if DWC is just a single set varible at n.deg/n.sec or if it changes. Take for example a Gradual shear setting would equal 1deg/1sec, Mod=2deg/1sec, Sev=4deg/1sec, and Inst=10deg/1sec. And then just limit ASA from being able to set Inst shear above 5000ftMSL and Sev shear above 15000ftMSL. A 2deg/1sec change wil not overspeed the aircraft. and can be used around CB's and so on. Hi,I need to go back to Version 6.5, I haven't been able to complete a flight since installing ASA. I am now thrust on a roller coaster ride that ends in a crash "Every Time".Level-D is an outstanding aircraft that has performed exceptionally well in FS9, but since adding ASA, I'm unable to complete a flight.Take a look at the latest roller-coaster ride with Level-D and ASA.Since this is an ASA upgrade, do I have to uninstall everything and then reinstall 6.5?.I am usually very impressed with your product releases/updates/upgrades, but in its present state, ASA is not worth the $39.00 upgrade fee.I hope I get to use this product sometime in the near future.

HiI have fs9, AS6.5.I started to get at visibility problem. For instance: setting the maximum visibility at 11 SM I still get visibility 60 SM. It only sometimes the problem occours.Any idea what to do ? Hi HIFI support,In a previous post i said i had as6.5 installed on my pc before buying ASA. I uninstalled it before installing asa. but now i can't use ASG1st answer from support :Yes, ASA comes with no Graphics so you'll need either ASV6.5 or X Graphics installed to get graphics snapshots.So my question now is (Jim please help) :Does it mean i should have installed the newest version on top of the previous one ? If my case, does it mean also i have to unistall ASA to reinstall 6.5 first then reinstall ASA or could i install 6.5 after ASA ?Thanks again for your answer and your productAF1134

Hi,I used to run ASV6 in a networked computer and tunning either Com1 or Com2 in my Cockpit radio Pedestal used to allow me to listen to Departure and/or Arrival Wx Voice announcements.With the new ASA this don't seem to be possible since I can only have those annoucements when tuning Comm1 with 122.00 or 122.02. Nothing happens when using Com2.Are there some special settings to be made?Thanks for your help.Joaquim

When I select the flightplan for my briefing and then want to process, it always puts the speed as 120kts, is there anyway i can change this to somemore suitable for my aircraft.

I just bought the ASA full and loaded FS9 and put user defined weather in FS9, In ASA I put to download weather every five mins. No weather in FSUIPC and still having a promblem with loading weather from the real world into FS9. I used to have Active Sky 6.5 and was working fine. I had to delete ASv6 because I was having promblems with the AR. Well now I can't get the weather to work in FS9

Hi:Last nite I loaded a Flight plan into ASA, everything appeared normal as the graphics snapshot was loaded etc. I then started FSX, loaded the same Flight Plan that i had loaded into ASA. When FSX loaded there was the usual green bar across the top of the screen saying ASA was depticting , then everything froze. Then a error report window opened (sent error report)and FSX restarted.Since this has happened, I no longer get the Green Bar across the top of the Screen when FSX loads.Used to be when i changed flight plan or aircraft in the fsx menu, that is when i would see Weather line change to User Defined. Hi Jim & Damian,I have a problem that I've not seen described on the forum so I figure it must be caused by my settings. This is FS9.1 with ASA Build 355. I keep getting a continual change in the look of things caused by a blanket haze "switching" on and off every 30 to 40 seconds. I have attached a pair of screenshots, the second taken about 30 seconds after the first:The haze changes just as quickly as flicking between these two shots. Hey, I have Active Sky X and for some reason, my temps are 47C @ 34000 feet?That is definately wrong. Does anyone know whats going on?

While preparing a flight plan from FRA to HEL I loaded the WX in ASA for the route. For the first 60 miles it showed a northerly wind and then switched to a strong southerly wind - a big surprise since the RW WX situation would call for a northerly later a northeast wind. So I loaded the route in AS6.5 and got the wind situation which could be expected. There is a 180 degree difference between ASA and AS6.5!!Wind in ASA= from NATSU all the way to HEL between 180 and 160 degrees with 60 to later 25 ktsWind in AS6.5= from NATSU to HEL first 355, then 015 later 025 with same wind speeds.Any explanation?See attachment for RW WX!

Hi,I've tried several time to made a long haul flight between VOMM and LFPG, but I get an error with ASA after hours of flight (I think about 5 hours).I'll try to get the exact message, but it's something like a memory error because It also crash all windows running programs (error messages, unreadable menu, even taskmanager can't be run with CTRL+ALT+SUPPR).Is it a known issue or do you have a clue of what it is ?

hello !just one question about fsx haze layer! i know that the efforts to minimize the effects of the haze layer or to disable it completely are most common settings for almost all,butthe "problem" afterwards is that the depiction looks quite unrealistic! for example if i have snowy and weather with reduced visibility -> and this seems to be correct from the ground (because of haze layer it looks like overcast) ->but ofcourse after flying trough this layer (visible or not,disable or smoothed visibility, and conditons in metar file is not overcast for example) the sight clears up below and it looks like "sunny day with few clouds". i use also fog layer simulation but…

HiI have been using ASA for some time now on my FS computer, and are enjoying it very much. Using the briefing page to import flightplans, getting textures from GE Pro and then start FS9 via the green "Start FS" button.Today I finally got my client computer up again after some trouble, and installed Wide Server client and ASA. I start ASA and then FS9 and everything works fine. The problem starts when I try to import a flightplan on the briefing page. I select the one I will use, but ASA just won't have it!! I need to know where ASA is looking for FSX, when the checkbox "Disable Haze Layer" gets checked. I assume it is the registry?(I have a remote install of ASA and checking this checkbox does not "seem" to disable the haze layer on the FSX machine.)

Hi All,1.I probably have 4 or 5 hours working with the software, and I am very confused because there does not seem to be a flow to the program, and I have numerous questions. This not a rant. I am in awe really of what has been accomplished and am very pleased with it's capabilites and I am loving what I am seeing in the sim, but moving around trying to execute the functionality has been very frustrating. Does the 'Snapshot' folder have to reside within: \Program Files\Microsoft Games\Microsoft Flight Simulator X\ ?I have a dedicated hard drive for FSX but it is only 72GB (Western Digital Raptor). My current snapshot folder is 10 GB with 70 individual snapshots. I would like to increase the number of snapshots but that's too much space to devote on this drive.Just wondering.Tom
