I am running ASX, X Graphics and FSX SP2 under Vista.Flying in the UK over the past couple of weeks, I am regularly seeing thunder & lightning when in fact there is none.Having searched the forum, I see this was reported with earlier versions of ActiveSky but I see no mention in relation to ASX.With early versions, it was suggested that a flag for thunderstorms when CB clouds were reported in the metar be set to "Off".I can't see any similar flag in ASX settings.What is the suggested solution?

I just bought the full version of ASA for FSX however when I run the program it looks for an FS9 ASv6 and then gives me an illegal operation. Why is it looking for backwards compatibility and why does it then crash?Backwards Compatibility ASv6 Check/Copy problem: Could not find a part of the path 'E:\FS2004\Modules

1st problem: PC Lock Up (sorted)When I first started to use ASA, my whole PC would lock up, with nothing but a hard reboot required, this forced me to uninstall evrything to do with FSX and start from scratch, this has taken me over 5 days so far at each stage testing to try to lock up, the lock up came at differnt times, differnt position, different aircraft, so totally random. I use REx for the themes and have done as instructed looking through the forums. getting to the end, the only way so far I have managed to stop this is to load themes with REX, allow REX to load its themes, shutdown REX, open ASA, goto briefing and enter flightplan, then start FSX, this so far …

New or should i say unusual problem,Flew EGFF - GCTS departed 1430z arrived 1817z, with about 2oo miles to go I started to get "loading Terrain Data", this is usually what happens when you 1st load up, I have never had this whilst flying, but this didnt happen once this then happened a further 4 times with the last 1 happening 23 miles from touchdown,the weird thing was, the light was fading as the sun was going down as expected, but what i didnt expect each time it reloaded data it got darker, until the 4th time when it looked like it was midday, then the 5th time of "Loading Data" it went to dusk settings. as listed below for what i was flyingFSX + accelASA + B355FS…

I would like to know which software for FSX use, to create a route (since I've a company route software), since the default FSX flight planner is very limiting ( I know the route, airway and waypoints, just need a planner where fill the route, export in *.pln and load in ASX)CiaoAndreaps: the latest biuld for ASX is 1169?

Whenever I try to look at the ASA documentation the .pdf file starts to download then stops after about 300Kb of the 2,19MB download. Not only am I unable to use the program owing to license activation failure but I also can't read what I am missing!.Jim - you may recognize my name from way back - I have, as you know, been an avid supporter of all the AS products and have bought all the upgrades and new versions to keep abreast of the times. Taken in interest in soaring. Saw a topic earlier on the ability of ASA to generate ridge lift, but the topic died off with no definitive answers. Set up 50kt winds against mountains west of Boulder CO using Wx Config feature of ASA. Could not discern any lift generation. Tried with DWC ON and OFF. Anybody had any success soaring and picking up ridge lift? I've got lift generation slider set at 100% under the Thermals tab of ASA. Also got max updraft at 2000 fpm. Thanks in advance for replies.

Hello, I recently established sim connect with ASX and all seems to be working. However, my depiction output is not going out at all. I get it to inject weather at the beginning of the flight but then it just stays lit. My downloads are set to 10mins intervals. Any help on this issue.ThanksJackie

During FS9 flight, weather station LIPB gave a pressure of 2005mb, resulting in wild altitude reporting :(I've attached the ASA_Log and FS9Options config for your info.

ASA, FS9 through WideFS.I am trying to use the smoothing of the visibility option.When in cruise (FL330) when moving the surface visibility slider in options:visibility tab lower than 100, and leaving the upper altitude visibility on max, it gets foggy.If the surface visibility slider is supposed to set the surface visibility, how come it gets foggy in cruise?It also seems like the slider has no effect to the right of about 113, so moving it from 113 to 110, it changes from infinite visibility to pretty foggy in cruise.Instead of asking me if I have this and that ticked, what do I have to tick in the options pages to get a hazy visibility on the ground, and a cruise like …

Hi all,Firstly I have been remiss in posting here, I purchased ASA a few weeks back and (had I any manners) I should have been back here within 24 hours to thank you for such a great application. It's my first activesky experience and I can't for the life of me understand how I enjoyed FS before I had real weather, so thank you!In saying this, I have had the occasional CTD with FSUIPC as the cuplrit. I believe the Beta update will fix this but I don't want to risk any additional complications. Hi There.Got a small problem which I hope you can help me with.ASA has been working fine for some time now, today during a flight including using ASA,there were a few issues with FS9 stuttering and locking up. Quit the programme and restarted FS9 and ASA. ASA goes through its initial Internal database files and other file checking then instead of bringing up the main pages,it then minimises to the bottom tool bar. No matter how I try it just will not maximise to its full screen. Windows manager says ASA is active but I cannot bring up the main pages. I uninstalled ASA and reinstalled it,(Anti virus and Firewall switched off) but it still will not start. I do not have the …

I installed the beta 355 in ASA and now if I fly a prop plane from EGNT to EGLL I get a very odd problem.Although the throttle is at maximum the manifold pressure drops to zero slowly, a nuisance to say the least as dropping to idle isn't too good for flight.I've attached pic of the ASA window and the cockpit so you can see what I mean. Hi guys here, the following problem may not lie in the AS, but I do need help,thanx!Problem is: long flight (ie: EFHK-VHHH) setup with PMDG plane, AS6.5(online mode with other settings defaulted), FSUIPC 3.85 with default setting. 1-2 hours after take off, the FS will load something with a progress bar indicating the FS loading scenery and somthing else just like the way it does after you click the "Fly now". Local Range Suppression not being enforced2. Force Destination weather not being enforced3. HiNice product by the way I purchased today and glad that I did. I have FS9 on both of my systems. I use the version on my desktop for testing out new downloads etc. I use my main FS9 laptop for flightsimming. I have installed ASA on my desktop and using widefs it connectsand runs fine with FS9 on my laptop. The issue I have is using the X Gauge Installation program as it detects fs9 on my desktop but I want to install the gauge onto my FS9 install on my laptop. Can I just copy the necessary GAU file into my gauges folder on my laptop and then just manually enter the neccessary details for it to show on the panel? Shortly after I downloaded and tried out ASA for a few times, I posted here to get advice on ASA locking to a given reporting weather station and not updating the reporting stations along the flight plan. Since I run ASA on remote I was advised that the order in which I was startingup the programs (FSInn, WideFS, etc.) was incorrect and that I should upgrade to the Beta 355,all of which I did. Gents,First thing. I understand Historical mode when in the offline mode. My questions relate to on-line only.I am curious about the difference between running with On-line Dynamic Data in Historical mode or just checking the box for "Force to Sim Time"? Neither "Force to Real Time" or "Force to Sim Time" is checked when in historical mode is why I am asking.On the flip side of this.I am still curious how ASA handles flights set to the future. Does it use current weather METAR or the TAF? Does "Force to Sim Time" or "Force to Real time" affect whether the METAR or TAF is used?Thanks in advance for your support.

I have AS6.5 with GEP running with fs9.In the options section of AS, I have 'submit GE skies checked.When I download weather, and hit the GE buton, new ground textures are installed to match the weather.Are the GE sky textures(eight sky sets already created by GEP) the also loaded into fs9?I ask this because for everynew flight I do this , the skies look pretty much the same.Eytan ornstein

I made two flights yesterday in FS9, starting them using ASA and part way through both I was suddenly enveloped in dark grey, which didn't really look like cloud. In spot view all that could be seen was the 737 surrounded by dark grey with no sight of the ground and no apparent top. This was at FL250!Each time I paused the sim, minimized it and closed ASA, then started AS6.5. After that had fired up and stabilized the problem went away and I continued each flight with AS6.5.Is this an issue that is being looked at please? I position the ASA screen on a second CRT monitor. It was correctly centred at first but then it started loading with the top part off screen. Eventually I discovered that the monitor had reverted to a refresh rate of 60Hz. After resetting the refresh rate to 75Hz the ASA screen was became properly positioned.I just mention this in case anyone else has experienced the same problem.CRN
