Hi,Reviving this old question, what are chances for implementing SIGMET reports into future AS versions? They are available from different sources, but e.g. this is one of them for Europe: http://aviationweather.gov/data/iffdp/6443.txtRegards,Aleks

Has anyone any thoughts on the possible cause (and cure!) for the effect shown just off the starboard wingtip in the attached photo.I'm running ASV6.5 with current weather....EDDG 161100Z 1612/1712 VRB03KT 9999 SCT009 BKN012 TEMPO 1612/1620 BKN020 BECMG 1623/1701 3000 BR TEMPO 1701/1710 1800 DZRA BKN004 BECMG 1710/1712 36008KT 9000 BKN020FL030: 355/07 (3.20) FL060: 008/13 (3.90) FL090: 000/16 (2.00)FL120: 339/26 (-8.70) FL180: 343/23 (-19.30) FL240: 336/31 (-30.00)FL300: 349/30 (-46.80) FL340: 345/34 (-57.20) FL390: 332/53 (-67.00) System is Vista/32, Nvidia 8800 GTX with 182.08 drivers, FS9.1

The reason I havent been using AS for a long time is that anyone hosting a multiplayer session couldnt use it, or others could not join the session. One of the guys I fly with uses ASA and quite by accident, he had it on while hosting. We didnt realize it, as others were able to join the session. We then ran a few tests and it now seems ASA does in fact allow the host to run it and others can now join/re-join a session.I haven't seen or heard anything anywhere about this, so I am passing it along for you MP folks. I'm going to wait until the next patch before I get ASA to ensure it doesnt break it again.Good work Damian and Carl, you should get out there and promote this!

I'm flying the Flight1 Cessna Mustang in FSX with SP2. I'm using RC for ATC. I'm landing at KALN (Alton-St. Louis) on March 7th using Historical weather for that day and the 1500 GMT hour. The ASA report said I should expect winds @ 13 gusting to 18 at 180*. RC said I should expect 80kts at 235*! RC also said the temperture was -45/-50! On final the wind was showing 32kts @ 280* on my PFD and RC actually had it around 13kts when they cleared me to land on runway 29.My question is, why the differences? What's with the tempertures? Who do I believe? Is RC not compatable with ASA ?

I've had ASX and X Graphics now for around a week and my learning curve is still behind the power curve. After setting up my weather and clicking to go to FSX, I am getting a warning window telling me I have a JIT debugging problem. One of the choices is to click on Continue and take a chance. This seems to have worked all the time. I finally looked at the Details and it said I needed to enable my JIT debugging so it would be sent to the JIT debugger registered on the computer rather than handled by the dialog box. I'm afraid I just haven't been able to follow the directions they gave. Is there a more detailed explanation somewhere as to how to accomplish this, or a…

Recently, I have been getting very limited connection to the internet and most of my other internet based programs after the 2nd update of AS6.5. It's very weird. This has only started happening since I got a new router/modem. And it only happens when Activesky starts. Nothing else is causing it. I always have to disconnect the power to the router and then reconnect it and renew the connection to get full functionality in all my internet based software.I've checked the settings in the router and all looks good.Is this a known issue or has anyone been able to replicate it?Goran

Jim, see the attached, can you help w/ this? By the way I know why I was having trouble w/ understanding ASG loading into ASA. I was thinking Xgraphics and did not have the required boxes unchecked in ASG, and since fixing the contrast problem ASv6 looks great now too. I always wondered why things were so hard to read. :( Vincent

Just curious... We are now two months since release and a month since Damian's update yet most of us are still fighting the same issues. I appreciate the team is working hard on a fix but must admit when I saw Damian's post last month I did not expect a full month to pass with no further updates.Any update would be greatly appreciated. And while I typically loathe these types of posts we are not waiting on an initial release here, we are waiting on a fix for a program we have already paid for so I do think this is a bit different....Cheers,-Paul

Hey guys, I sent an email last night, no rush. :) I figured also posting here would let you know it was there. I got a new laptop from work, and moved my system at home to Vista, so I am sure I triggered the "bad boy" on your end. :) But, can you please re-allow me to install on the new laptop? I got Simconnect SP2 all ready and tested to go last night, only to have ASA say "no no!" DOH! lolThanks in advance.

Hey guys..I purchased ASA about 3 weeks ago upgrading from AS6.5...was happy with it for a little until I started hitting some problems...I saw there was a topic about how the METAR doesn't match up with whats really going on in the world such as cloud layers and visability issues....I looked on the fourms tried everything no luck...I used to get random stutters with ASA until i updated it with the beta patch...it fixed it alittle but I still get random stutters...My processor is a Core duo 3.0ghz...running it with 8800GTX and have 2 gig or ram...I run FS9 very nicely...it stays locked at about 69FPS...when I run ASA the FPS is fine its just the random cloud pop ups that …

The past couple of days I have noticed massive fluxuations of SAT while at turbojet cruise altitudes. Most recently at 1625Z today 11MAR about 100NM west of Flint Mich at FL390. For a 2-3 minute period the temp spiked from -52C to +15C before returning to normal temps. Obviously this disrupted the flight path of the aircraft in both instances. I use Build 355.

Dear Jim,I still have great problems with the vis in ASA using FS9.I have solved the haze problem at high level by ignoring the UPPER vis slider and just setting the surface vis slider to adjust vis at all levels!BUT>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AGAIN, on approach today to LQSA. The METAR was giving 6000m in RA OVC017.I had unlimited VIS and nearly no cloud all the way down through FL180 until about 10 miles out on approach. Then some cloud popped up (still not overcast). The vis stayed 10+ all the way down to 400ft AGL at which point is started dropping rapidly and it started raining, just as …

HiI have some issues with ASA, hope you can help.First of all I dont understand how to set ASA to flight time. I checked "flight time" instead of "system time" in FS9 and I checked "Force to sim time" in main ASA interface as well. That's what happends:It's 20:40 now in Paris so 19:40 GMT.. I configure the flight time to today 14:40. 19:40 GMT is the "Active Date and Time" in ASA.I start the flight and ASA depicts the realtime wheather (19:40). Then suddenly FS9 reloads scenery and the time in the sim is now 19:40. Please note "force to sim time" is checked in ASA, what else should I do?Ok second problem. FS9 randomly crashes since I installed ASA. The reason for crash is…

Hi there,Can anyone explain me how I've to interprete these data of my weather briefing in ASA : Winds aloft by waypoint:Waypoint 6K 9K 12K 18K 24K30K 34K 39K 44K 49KEBOS297at14(2) 325at18(1) 329at27(-9) 331at29(-21) 341at35(-33)340at50(-48) 335at56(-58) 334at58(-65) 336at41(-61) 337at26(-60)I already figured out that 297at14(2) means : wind direction - wind velocity - temperatureBut what do 6K, 9K, 18K, etc mean???I didn't find lot of information about this on the internet...Thx in advance !!

Hello Support,I still run FS9.I have been using the ASv6.5 for quite a while now and consider to buy the ASA version. I have read the information about ASA and looked through the comparison table.I really can't see any significant differences between the two products as regards how the "weather engine" affect the aircraft's behaviour. To be more specific; during a hard cross wind landing or in common landing during heavy wind with gusts and turbulence one can see how an ACdances through the final approach down to landing. This is due to wind conditions rather than bad pilotship. I have no sucsess so far achieving that kind of simulation with or without ASv6.5.As I unders…

Following a server pc rebuild, ASA on the client cannot find FS9 - or indeed the contents of the server.Client sees self and server workgroup computers, and vice versa.Wideclient runs - connected!FSCommander connects to FS.When I point ASA to the FS9 location through the network hoops, it stops when it sees the Server and the Client: there are little "+" marks next to each: when I click the server nothing shows and the "+" disappears: when I click the client I see the contents of that machine.Any ideas at all?Nicholas.

Hello all,I have ASA (build 355) that I run with FSX and RC on Vista 64. The problem that I'm having has to do with the destination ATIS.I like to fly the 737-800 so I am usually checking destination ATIS approximately 40 nm out. The problem is I always get the current information for where I am at that point in time, not the destination. For instance I will get a report that will say winds are 240 at 37 which is what my instruments show at 12,000 ft instead of 195 at 6 which is what the destination field has. I do have my flight plan loaded into ASA and have checked Create Additional Stations and Enhance Route Coverage.I have checked Force Destination WX Zone but stil…

Thank You Vincent
