hello folks i have ASA running on a second computer and everything is set up correctly , i get no errors and ASA loads and the screen loads up and i get the thunder sound and the interface.i know for a fact that it is raining where im at and a lot of clouds, but i dont see no weather change in the sim, in fact i thought there was a problem some time ago.with the old as4 version not only did it work it would scroll across the top of the screen and tell you what was going on.as i said i have all drives mapped and simmconnect set up, there are no errors what so ever, i have even tested simconnect to see if it is active and it is cconnected to the flightsim by using al traffi…

DWC control is enabled, and, while in cruise (not always, but regularly) the plane is kind of strugling to keep a straight line. This is the Level D 767, I took a snapshot for you to see.Notice that the reported winds (as shown pressing CTRL-Z) match those in the EHSI, however, the FMC is reporting completely wrong winds. This does NOT happen when DWC is disabled... so where is the FMC reading the winds from when DWC is enabled? One more thing I noticed is this:I have my weather updates in ASA set to every 10 minutes. over the last two weeks I;1. Good day everyone. I found the problem with my ASX launching XGraphics on a Vista 64 system in a networked configuration. (ya, I know. wow. hah) I'm posting this in hopes it will help someone else.I was getting "Object instance creation error" when ASX launched XG. Digging into the registry file (if you're not comfortable doing this, dont do it!) I find the following entry under HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\HiFi\XEngine AppDataPath had an invalid path to the FSX folder on the computer that contained my FSX.CFG file. Hi, Looks like I found a bug. This is without DWC on and no cloud draw options have been checked.I am not getting proper cloud depiction. I like the global station setting so I dont use DWC. The main thing I notice is the clouds are just clearing up on me. I did have the prevent TS from being drawn for CB reports. I unchecked that and it helped a little. When I had it checked, the clouds would not draw a proper depiction until my wheels touch the ground, and then all of a sudden everything draws. Nothing in UIPC making this happen, and now with that option(No Draw TS for CB)unchecked, things seem to be drawing when Im in the air. Then again I dont know, the way they …

I am using ASA advanced with my Level D My setup is FSX - SP2Level D 767 SP2Vista 64 bit SP1ASA with SP1 (Beta)I am having terrible troubles with the wind and flying with the Level D ...For some strange reason, even though I have a tail wind of 70 Knots .... HiI've been using FS9 a while now because at least few months ago there wasn't a solution to wind shifts in FSX.So the question is really simple. Will latest ASA in combination with latest FSUIPC produce good winds aloft without any wind shifts?I haven't found any clear answer to this issue from the developers...//Olli

It has become less frequent after the last betas, but ASA still seems to have the occasional problem reconnecting to FSX if FSX is shut down and restarted. ASA (running on a separate laptop) gets stuck at "depiction output active", but no further updates occur, The "refresh AI traffic" button works (causes a scenery reload in FSX).Minor annoyance only, but one for your list maybe.Tom

Gentlemen: After loading X Pax on my computer (using FSX and Windows XP) I have lost use of my TrackIR and Wilco E-Jets (panels blank and mouse unable to "click" on panel objects). Program looks great, but I must be doing something terribly wrong. Please help. Regards, Stewart S. Leber

Hi Jim,Still have problems to import a flightplan into ASA.I have installed build 394.Importing goes fine, but if I select "View Route Briefing Map", ASA crashes.The flightplan is build using FS Commander 8.4This is the flightplan, but since I've also tried other flightplans and had the same crashes (each time), it seems not to be route specific.The windows fault report gives:EventType: clr20r3 P1: asa_exec.exe P2: 11.0.0.394 P3 49bd8164P4: microsoft.visualbasic P5: 8.0.0.0 P6: 4889f422 P7: 79aP8: 22 P9: system.argumentnullexeptionHope you can find what's causing this.Best regards,Frank

After one good flight I tried a second flight with the PMDG 744X. Tried to board and it said I had to open the doors. So I opened 2 of the doors and nothing happened. So I tried the Shift-E as it said and it said exit opening and I got 1 passenger on board out of 365. Even though the EICAS said the doors were open nobody wanted to get on. Tried shift E again and another person got on.Thinking it was an issue with the PMDG I changed to the PIC737 and same thing. The door would stay open long enough to let one or 2 thru and close again. Hi,Last weekend I did a flight from LOWW to LOWI. I used FS 9.1 and ASA Build 394 and a registered version of FSUIPC. I run ASA on a seperate laptop and not on the Flightsim PC over WideFS. But also with this version two old failures reappeared. I got popping clouds near the plane, appearing suddenly out of nothing. And when I approached the valley of Innsbruck, the reported weather was visibility of 1500 ft and snow (I know, that this normally would prevent from an approach to Innsbruck). But instead depicting this weather I had a clear view to the airfield 20 miles away until touchdown. When I have landed the aircraft the weather began to change to snow and the limited…

Ok, Haven't used ASA in a couple weeks because I was getting a little fustrated with the random cloud pop ups and the stuttering...Today I re-installed ASA after using AS6.5 and still noticed the stutters...not as much but did notice them...I went to look for IMC conditions to see if the OVC problem was fixed that was discussed in previous topics...i did notice a little improvment in the METAR and what was actually going on in the world...I did get a metar consisting of OVC 3,000ft...I took off from the field just to make sure it was accurate and about 1,000ft in the air the sky started to clear up and the ceiling became SCT clouds...It should stay OVC till 3,000 like it …

Utter Frustration!I am looking for recommendations for a weather application to use with FSX that works. This rules out any Hi-Fi Simulation Product, sorry if you were going to mention ASA or ASX, but I have spent the past four hours trying to figure out how to get upper winds to come out of the West instead of the East (over the US too, where Easterlys never happen at FL310). I give up. HiFi stuff shows correct winds inside their app but FSX slowly wraps the wind vector down from about 250/100 to 0/0.. with our without FSUIPC smoothing. I am looking for an application that knows how to put winds into FSX and keep them there.Many thanks for help.

I have ASX and love it. One of the features I want to use with ASA in FS9 is to be able to set a visibility that i want regardless of the real-wolrd weather (while still using real world weather). ASX has this. Reason is because lets say vis it reported on the field as 20 nm, then u take off and get say about 6000' and then the visbilty all of a sudden get to like 100nm and everything looks fake (textures etc). Does ASA have this? i WILL BUY IT IF IT DOES. sorry for my english I am american

Hello HiFi team...Unfortunately, yesterday was another extremely disappointing flight using ASA build 394. The wxr on the east coast of the states yesterday was overcast with 2 miles visibility all day. In fact I don't think I saw the sun for more than 3 minutes. I was excited to try a descent in thick clouds and turbulence but I never got thick clouds.Despite the real world wxr when approaching KEWR from EGCC I had crystal clear skies ( I mean not a cloud in the sky) until I got down to about 3k feet. Then all of a sudden the overcast popped in and visibility went to 2 miles as it should have been for the last hour of the flight. The issue is that my entire descent…

I made flights using asa and fsx and experience windshifts like nobody's business from 150/87 to 300/22 then after that alternating about a second apart 250/67 and 100/10 - poor speed gauge goes haywire from overspeed to stall.FS9 and ASA - wonderful for me now, so that's what I'll be using it on at least till another patch for the gaping hole in the simconnect interface comes out.Yes, tried all options by the way, no joy at all so I'll wait.John E

Hi, Just got the new B2 version update. Looks very good, I have not tested DWC or the VIS control though.On B1 I had no gusting wind at all, but now looks very good. Im pretty sure the winds are in the right direction and I am getting surface winds. I have decided to not use the DWC due to the global WX set mode, I just dont like how it works from the SDK's description. I was also not getting gusts with DWC and sometimes weird temp flux on B1. So, with FSUIPC wind smoothing and no DWC it works really good. There is one more thing also, when making a mission I would always use something I called the layer cake effect.
