Hi there,I recently purchased ASA. Congratulations on a fantastic product. One feature that I find particularly useful in ASA, both from a visual perspective, and for the performance (FPS) benefits that I obtain from using it, is maximising the stratus cloud occurrence in the Cloud Options settings.Tonight I installed the SP1 Public Beta, and the stratus cloud occurrence slider no longer seems to have any effect (much to my considerable disappointment). Is this a known problem with SP1 (it does not appear in the pinned bug list)? If so, will it be addressed in the next update? If not, I fear I'll need to roll back to the original build of ASA and then suffer the ri…

Hey Jim,I have sent an email on this as well. This issue is the same one that has made ASA completely unreliable for me when it comes to depiction output on landing. As you can see by the screen shots, ASA is clearly saying that LLBG is moderate rain. After a 10 hour flight, I was ready for an approach in some good heavy rain which is always exciting. :( Unfortunately, as you can see by the screen shots, that is not what I got. I even tried refreshing the weather 15 minutes before touchdown to try to force it but still nothing. Then, 10 minutes after shutting down at the gate, sure enough I got the rain. Hello,My FSX and FS9 are installed on two different dedicated computers. I mostly use FSX (on a multicore processor, i7) but occasionally I go back to FS9 (on a single-core CPU). Originally I downloaded and installed ASA on the FSX computer, then I also installed the same program (with the same activation code) on the FS9 computer.As a result, I constantly had to re-activate ASA when using it on either of the computers, if previously I used it on the other one. I can understand this for copyright reasons, but is there a way to be authorized to use ASA on FSX on one computer and the same version of ASA for FS9 on the other computer, without having to reactivate them? Hi,I am running the ASA on windows xp.I ran the ASA with FSX and it worked great, but when I trying to work with FS9 it's not working.I installed FSUIPC on FS9 and defined the FS9 version on the ASA Settings, but it still not work.Is someone know how to fix this issue?Thanks,David.

I get great performance out of my new rig - I've ocd my 920 i7 processor to 3.66 ghz, have a 4800 series ATI card, great mother board, DDR3 memory (3 gigs - still running XP). But that great performance drops whenever I'm into the clouds. From a steady, smooth 24 fps in good weather - where I have it pegged - down to 8 or 9 fps at times. I have three cloud layers set-am using the least processor intensive cloud set - and use medium settings for my FSX intall. Haze layer disabled but none of the other two boxes on that page. I had some problems getting simconnect up and running after the FS computer crashed and had to be reloaded. I was able to eventually get simconnect running but I always notice that there is first an error saying that the path is not found. Then after it connects and updates the FS I get a never ending error in ASX that says :Exception Received 16.What is this exception and how do I correct it.Client computer:I'm running XP with SP3 and all updates installed. I'm also running the SDK sp2. .NET framework 3.5 with the sp installed.Thanks,Steve

I have ASX installed in my network and all works well. I think.My question is should I see an airplane icon on the Map display in ASX and XGauge showing my planes location? I have a Flight Plan loaded and see it on both displays.Also It seems that the Map Display on ASX controls what is displayed on XGauge. Is this true?Thanks In advance to all who reply.Bill

Every time ASA gets done with weather depiction, FS2009 reloads, and the time is usually changed to eastern time. Is there a way to prevent this "reloading" of scenery and weather/time/traffic? It's annoying, and breaks the immersion.I've got "Force to real time" and "Force to sim time" unchecked - but that hasnt prevented the sim from reloading after weather depiction.Thanks`LS

Hi,Ive just prepared my LAN and simconnect variables to run ASA from a client. The documentation says that ishould have FSX installed before installing ASA. Does this apply to client install as well? I have just bought the Axtive Sky X and I unsudden how to adjust the weather condition In flight mode. I am aware that I have to start ASX as the first thing, setup the weahter condition and thereafter launch the FSX. But how do I adjust the weather while flying in FSX, without have to shut down FSX and re-setup the weather in FSX.Some where I have read that there should be a menu in the menubar while flying from where it should be possible to chance the weather In flight mode. There are issues with ASA weather snapshot file current_wx_snapshot.txt and TOPCAT. After refreshing ASA and updating the weather forecast in TOPCAT the winds interpreted by TOPCAT are not what FS9 depicts resulting in TOPCAT's calculations for the opposite end of the runway. I recently upgraded from AS6.5 and ASGraphics to ANA and so far have been an extremely happy camper. But since I upgraded, whenever I power up FS9 I get a warning asking me if I want to run sbweather.dll which may cause conflicts. I say 'yes' and all goes well, but I am feeling apprehensive about it.I have searched this and other forums without finding any useful threads. Hi,I have a new PC with Vista as the OS. I have installed and can run ASX and X Graphics. When trying to upgrade to ASA I get a message saying 'Error 202 - Upgrade eligibility check failed. ASX must be installed on this machine." I assure you that ASX is installed. Any advice welcome.CheersBarry

This has happened before wiht ASA but this time I tried to keep up with what was happenning. I'm flying the Cessna Mustang into Richmond, VA (KRIC) runway 34 at 6:00am on April 23rd.The winds are reported at 72kts! and have been at that speed since I left FL190. It was like landing a helicopter. I have the maximum surface winds set at 25, and the max wind turbulence at 50%, but I'm turning it down to 30% to see if that helps. I'm thinking maybe I just have something set wrong, but I don't know what. Any ideas?Bill

Hi. I use AS6.5. I know a lot has been said about this already, but despite following what advice I have found here, I haven't really reached a compromise I am happy with. I know that FS9 will cause a sudden change in visibility (often at around 5000' - what are the deciding factors for the altitude at which this occurs?). I also get a change in colour, from whitish to a bluish white. Well guysI took the plunge today and bought the above product not really used it yet, just setting up and testing.Can you use this application in conjunction with Alacrity PC ?And if so what is the procedure for doing so?At present I am just starting ASA with the launch flightsim button whilst I explore the program, but I could really do with shutting down as much background stuff as possible whilst running the sim in the future.
