I just tried installing AS6.5 (setup.exe 2-27-07) on Vista Home Premium PC.I am Administrartor.I just double clicked setup.exe to install AS65.Other programs have installed ok eg FS9 and scenery.During install it said installing Net framework 1.1Said it was ok.It continued install then I got an ERROR 1603, Error installing NetframeworkInstallation stopped.I checked my installed programsThere was a net framework 1.1 entry .. probably a bad install!Also there was net framework 3.5 SP1 .. that came with the system.Because of the error I uninstalled net framework 1.1 (no error doing it).Questions:If I already had net framework 3.5 why was AS6.5 installing net framework 1.1?Is…

Hi,I'm currently using the latest beta version of ASA. Sometime after my initial install of ASA Version 1, it began crashing when I would try to run it. I can only get it to work if I right-click and select Run as... and select my currently logged-in user name and password.Everything works fine after that.Has anyone else encountered this? I considered it only a minor inconvenience and am assuming it was something I did. Now that several updates have been released I was hoping the issue would resolve itself, but it hasn't.Thanks all!

Hello,I just purchased and installed ASA yesterday. I am using FSX and windows XP. ASA is starting and working on the same pc. When I try to import a flight plan for briefing (briefing -> change flight plan - > Import), I get the list of flight plans in my flight simulator X files folder as expected, however, when I try to open one, whatever the one is, it will not load (i.e. departure and destination ID are empty)Has somebody experienced similar event, and can someone help with this? ASA BUILD 431FS9 SP1Guys, still having depiction problems. There's no moderate rain or cloud cover on that island. No combination of ASA with or without FSUIPC settings give me accurate depiction. I really hate to keep harping on this, for me it's not any different, beta to beta. This is from the same flight as my post about clouds at 35,000 ft. This isn't 1 out of every 10 flights, it's every flight. Maybe people using FSX are seeing something different. Please, please, please could you put in an option to force the WX for a certain radius to the Destination METAR.At present, there is an option to force the WX zone, but it uses "interpolated data" or something similar. I think that this looks at all the reports and gives the destination zone (including the destination airport) an average - or at least that's what it seems to do for me.Couldn't you put in an option (like in AS6) where, say 40 miles from the airport, if the METAR for the airport is 6000 OVC030, the WX all the way in goes to 6000 OVC030.This might also get around the vis only changing to the airport's METAR at the last moment on short final at low level.I k…

For some reason when I updated to B394, when I request weather update using FSFightkeeper, it wont load weather into ACARS. If I switch to AS6.5 everything works normally. I tried FS9 and FSX and get the same results. Before the update ASA communicated with RC4 and FSFK without issues.Bill M

Though I really like the new weather depiction near arrival airports, the S-turning is horrible at altitude with this latest build. It was much better in the previous build but it has reverted to its worst state yet. Please please PLEASE find a solution to this!

HiAs I know, AS 6.5 works fine with FSX but Active Sky Graphics doesn't. So, is it possible to "merge" those two applications? Of course, XGraphics will not send textures according to METAR and weather downloaded by ASX (as it does when working with ASX) but I would install (only once) my favourite weather theme into FSX and then quit XGraphics. Why do I want to do that? Well, ASX just drives me crazy during start up. It takes about 2-3 minutes before ASX is ready for inserting the flight briefing (DEP, ARR, FL, etc.).BTW - XGraphics copies textures (after I enter all data to the Brefiing) to FSX only once, right? I wonder if I can let ASA load weather, import a flightplan, check the "aditional stations" (for smoother changes in both wind and weather at cruise)and check "nhance route coverage" (for the same reasons), as well as "force destination weather".After the flightplan has processed, if I then turn off automatic updates, will I then have the correct weather all the way, from a sunny departure to a snowy, stormy approach? Hi,I notice a problem with the surface wind in ASA if the airport in my case is at about 1400 feet less or more, the data for this surface change only at 200 or 300 feet from the terrain so when we land in this case we have to take the wind aloft of 3000 feet... If the terrain is at the sea level we have no problem with the surface wind but if it's too high the change between the two layers would be too late.I try it with ASV6.5 and I notice that the surface wind change at about 3000 feet so in my case at LSGG (1420feet) The change will be at about 4500 feet which is better, but with ASA the change is only at about 1500 feet that's not good, it's too late, we have already…

I experience a couple of issues when displaying the map in ASAFirst I at random occasions see a new window open in the map and being displayed some second or so giving it a flickering impression which is very irritating. Hi folks -I'm running FSX + Accel on a Windows 7 x64 Machine with Registered FSUIPC 4.50I load up ASA before FSX (ASA Settings are all default)....then I load up FSX, I get the green message at the top, saying "Depiction Complete!" (Its very fast...) and the weather changes, but when I leave FSX, I see that it's locked to a location not anywhere near me...And even then, the Metar at the locked station was 300ft overcast, and ASA was not depicting anything close to that.Any settings I can check?Thanks!LS

The O of M problem I had after the first release was gone after Version B355 and B394. Since I upgraded to version B406 the O of M seems to be back. For the last 5 days I had the problem and always at the end of the day. (after the program has been running almost all day, 4-6 flights averaging 1-1.5hr per flight) It seems data of some sort is accumulating slowly during the day until memory is filled. Can I re-install B394 over B406 ?Thank you

hi guys,i've reported this problem several times and even with the new build it hasn't changed. whenever i start my flight at an airport that is represented as advanced interpolation by ASA metar; the temperatures shown inside the cockpit are all wrong. ASA seems to inject a random temperature from elsewhere. dont know whats happening??? also, as i climb, the temperature constantly increases and does not decrease until reaching 30000 ft. please dont call this temperature inversion as it happens at all airports in FSX. the temperature issues have always been there but the interpolation bug started appearing only from build 394. prior to this build interpolation was fine. …

New computer/Vista Home pro 64. Products ASX ASAskorna "Thanks" sent me new codes. ASX installed and I ran FSX/Accel and it appeared to work. ASX menus.weather depiction ect.When I try to install ASA, it abruptly stops and I get a error 202, ASA cannot be found, must be installed. something to that effect. I assume ASX cannot find it.Any help appreciated. James

Hi GuysI've just come off the fence and bought ASA... It's brilliant..I've got a couple of set up problems (I think). I'm using FS9.1 on XP 64 Bit I've been getting a few OOM's recently which I think is due to all the super detailed UK2000 Extreme airport's I'm using so I decided to move my ASA installation onto my other computer. It's networked to my main FS9 box. I've mapped X: drive to my main FS9 folder and Z: drive to the folder in my documents\Flight Simulator Files where all the flight plans are stored.... I'm using WideFS and FSUIPC 3.907 both of which are registered copies ... I'm using Radar Contact, Flightsim Commander and Topcat on my other box with no problem…

Hello, I would like to get some help for a problem I've encountered. I usually fly long-haul flights on fs9, vista 32 bits, in offline mode forced to sim time (with "history" weather corresponding to the boarding time downloaded), with the ASA SP1 406 update version, with simulation speed set to x16 while in cruise, and in the middle of many flights, I see that ASA closes and the weather at inferior flight levels seems very foggy. After that, ASA of course doesn't have any effect anymore (but fs9 runs normally apart from that). So I have to restart ASA, get connected, and download the last data automatically. Hey all,Recently had to deal with a hard drive crash, consequently losing all of my installers. I was able to retrieve most of them back aside from my copy of AS6.5. I was wondering if anybody knows of a way to retrieve my order history and/or redownload the installer? I know there used to be something along those lines before the websight was updated.
