I cannot download Wx from primary or secondary server AS6.5.Connection was ok earlier this morning.

Hi all,I'm not sure if the hifisim website is actually down, or just for me... I checked it on http://downforeveryoneorjustme.com/ to see if the website had crashed, but it showed that it was working. Seems my ASA program can't connect to the server to download weather, and I can't call up the hifisim.com website (it says "we've moved, you will be redirected.") Is anyone else having this problem?

Hi there,I work on a ferry crossing the North Sea from England to Holland and I was wondering if it is possible to download active wx files without using the AS6.5 interface, I will explain why.My ship spends the whole day in England, and the next day in Holland. When in England i can use my mobile internet dongle to download the latest wx files in AS6.5, however in Holland my dongle does'nt work, therefore I have no internet access on my laptop where AS6.5 and FS2004 are installed, however i can access the internet via a computer in the ships office, although this pc does not have AS6.5 installed. i was wondering if it is possible to download wx files and then transfer t…

Hey guys i tried to uninstall then remove by deleting the dll for xguage and clearing the cfg command, but still it appears in the intrument views as aguage and its a black boxed window if i select it. Anyway of getting rid of it?

Morning everybody,I took the jump and installed both Windows 7 and FsX.Now, I am using the 64bit version of windows 7 (which is running fine) on the main PC with FsX installed.I also installed SP1 and acceleration pack of fsX and the SDK's.First the one from the DVD, then SP1a and then the one that came with the acceleration dvd.While I was installing those sdk's I saw that there is only one version allowed... Hello guys, I had purchased the asx six month ago and it was working fine.I removed Fsx and all of it's components including addons and asx, xpax etc due to lack of hd space. I reinstalled all of them now cause I bought a new hard disk and asx doesn't want to work. It's says that simconnect can't be loaded also asx cant dowload the weather.I have removed and reinstall the service packs as I saw on the forum I made everything by the book but it doesn't work plz help cause I will have free time for a couple of weeks an I'd like to fly !!! :(

Hi all, yesterday I began my flight starting from Naples LIRN. ASA reports a wrong metar due erroneous station cached. In detail it takes data from KQNN (Naples Nemod Italy ????, this is a NATO military station) instead LIRN. This station didn't have update data. Have you any suggestion to resolve this problem? I suppose this problem occurs any time I approach LIRN.

Check the screenshots below.The temperature doesn't match the indication in ASA.At the moment of the screenshots, my Concorde drop from FL510 to FL470, the temperature remained same at -50C. Hi - I had DWC enabled and started a flight in the LevelD 767 when I noticed the wind vector in the lower right corner of the HSI was flashing on and off repeatedly. I disabled DWC, saved and applied, then re-enabled, saved and applied and the wind vector stopped flashing and I made the rest of the flight with stable readings. Is this a bug? Also, I notice when I switch DWC mode the appearance of the weather that is generated changes momentarily then reverts back to former conditions.Secondly, on the Briefing page I imported a flightplan, I then pressed "Process" and "Install Graphics Snapshot." Does ASA have an equivalent to AS6.5's 'Fetch a Report' option? I find this option very useful for finding METARS/TAFS at smaller airports that do not report.

I'm not sure if my sttings are correct to enable WX-Influenced Textures in FS9I'm not sure, if I have to select the WX-influenced Full Sky theme in the AS6 Options Graphic section or not.I'm asking, because with above settings every time I load the same saved wx-file for the same station I'll get different texture sets displayed in the right hand column of the ASG selection details. Hello everyone,I use Active Sky Advanced with SP1 (build 433). On every flight, no matter which aircraft, i receive unrealistic windshifts during take-off, cruise and approach. My latest experience was as followed:I did a flight from EDDF to OMDB with the PMDG MD-11F. I do not use DWC, because of the bug which causes add-on aircrafts to slalome courses etc...Everything went fine just after take-off, than after about 1 min. the wind went crazy. Direct opposite wind changes within milliseconds, for example wind was 280/32 within a blink of an eye it was 100/32 then again 280/32 and again and again and again. I have recently upgraded to Windows 7 64bit and am re installing FS9 + addons with Active Sky it comes up with 'AS was unable to detect your personal Application Data folder please browse to it in the next screen... I have googled this and have found that it is now under Users my name but it does not want to accept this as the location... any ideas.... First question is regarding the startup time of ASA. It's literally taking 3-4 minutes for the green progress bar to complete. Is this normal? Seems to be connecting to the servers straight away so it looks like it's just loading local files.Secondly, after setting ASA up to virtually similar parameters as I was running AS6.5, it is eating into performance much more. Cant really run the 20 layers i was in 6.5 any more. Hey Simmers!I was searching all over the forum but I couldn't find the solution to my problem. I bought the new Wilco ERJ stuff yesterday. They have a built-in weather radar that worked fine for me during the tutorial flights when I deactivated ASA. But today I was flying again and used ASA for updating all the weather and my weather radar screen was in test-mode all the time. I couldn't get it to show me the actual weather.I really need some help here to solve that problem!Thank you very much in advance

So, I've replaced Vista with Windows 7 on my FSX rig, and I'm trying to get everything FSX wise up and running again. It's mostly smooth sailing, however I can't get ASX to work in a networked config unless I turn the Windows 7 firewall off. I've tried adding rules allowing network traffic from my ASX client through, but to no avail. When I turn the firewall off completely, however, everything works fine.Does anyone know how to configure the Windows 7 firewall so that I don't have to shut it off completely to get ASX to work?Thanks in advance.

I have been using AS 6 (upgraded to 6.5) in my Vista 32 machine. Just went from Vista to Win 7 64 and am attempting to reload the program.When it gets to the point of setting up the path to personal app. data I get an error: "Initialization error reading files".I am selecting (my name)\app data but it doesn't work.What is the correct path in Win 7 and will the program even work in Win 7?ThanksJim

HiUsing FS9.1, WinXP and ASA SP1 I get dreadful cloud popping on every flight I make anywhere in the world. ASA looks great and I have no other issues, just this highly disappointing ZAP as the clouds appear/disappear. Now, first things first, is it possible that I've set something up incorrectly? Or is it a general issue that has still to be resolved? I've been away a while so may have missed something.Thanks for any advice/help.

Is there a way to have the current ASA weather imported into FSC so as to be able to use the GPS/Moving map and have the correct weather and winds displayed?There is under the option tab in FSC a place to input the path to the URL for the weather to dowload from but I 'm not sure how to go about it or if Hi Fi even allows such a thing?I would really like to be able to use the FSC displays I have open in a second monitor instead of having to pull up ASA or the X-guage.Thanks in Advance,Robert
