Hello, I have FSX and Active Sky X with Vista X64 and using Level D 767. I'm presently on a flight over the Atlantic to Heathrow and the 100kt tailwind all of a sudden becomes a 100kt headwind and then back and then comes from the left and then the right etc. Its throwing the aircraft all over the place. Is this an error in the program? How can I stop this?I forgot to mention I'm flying on Vatsim with a friend who is about 10 miles ahead of me at the same altitude (FL410). Could it be wake turbulence?

When I climb to cruise altitude my engine N1 display acts weirdly and decreases very slowly. It slowly decreases until it reaches 0.0% then then engines themselves lose power and the only way to regain power is to descend to a lower altitude. When I have clear skies (default weather) it works perfect with no problems but when I select ASA I have noticed changes the SAT or TAT Temperature.I think ASA that was causing the problem by the weather not loading correctly and giving false information which the airbus computers followed and was causing the engines to be starved of air.Pls Help me!!!!

Good day HiFi people. I have a question regarding the Airports Textures Screen in X Graphics;Do these textures apply to default airports only or do I also owerwrite textures in add-on airports???This question also apply's to the lights.Thanks in advance.Golli.

Good day Hi-Fi simmers.I am in the process of evaluating, converting from FS9 to FSX.So I have been using AS6.5 for some years, and flying is'nt the same without it. However, as I only fly off-line, I wanted to ask if ACTIVESKY ADVANCED has an off-line mode, like AS3.5 does??I have collected over 6GB of metar files, from your servers and use that to generate the weather.Thanks in advance.Golli

Hi,A similar topic was written not long ago, but no answer was given.When I launch Active Sky advanced, it appears in the task bar, but clicking or right clicking on it has no effect. It seems the weather is working though.I run FS9 - I installed FSX to see how it run, removed it quicky and it seems that, from that moment, active sky stopped working.I ran u registry cleaning tool, installed Active sky a few times, but it did not do anything.I do have the latest version of FSUIPC.The strange thing is that, when I uninstall AS, and install it again, it does not ask for my product key.thanks for your help,Olivier

Hi all,Out of the blue and all of a sudden, I'm getting blocky cloud textures in FSX when using ASX.I used a historical weather file and though I didn't have this issue yesterday, I do today. There has been no changes to my hardware or driver set-ups.Am using FSX SP1, ASX Build 1169 (SP2), WinXP Pro SP2. Any suggestions as to what may be the cause?Cheers,Mike T.

Hi All:Okay, this might be a baited question, but I'll ask anyway. I have AS2004, which I use with FS9. AS2004 works great; I get WX, winds, etc. etc. It does what it's supposed to do. I'm not really interested in the nice GUI; so, strictly regarding the weather (clouds, winds, visibility): should I switch to ASA? Is it really that big of a difference to weather I experience during flight? Or is it a bunch of subtle changes?Also, I use WideFS, with AS2004 on the Client PC. ASA does retain full functionality on a Client PC, right?Thanks gents.James

Just a quick question...When flying over the Atlantic in real life I consistently see temps that are MUCH colder than what I ever see in ASA. For example, on my return flight on 1/1 from EGLL-KEWR the IFE said it was like -62 degrees outside the aircraft at FL370... The coldest I ever really see ASA is -25... Is there any way to get those rw temps over the Atlantic or am I misinterpreting something?Thanks in advance!-Paul

Hii am using active sky X (or at least trying to with a couple of payware aircraft. (the level D 767, and the feelthere 737 professional. When i am not using ASX everything looks ok, but if i load ASX the flight deck windshield turns to solid a turquoise color, and nothing is visible as you look out the window. Anyone have any ideas on where the problem may lie and a solution to fix it? I am using the append mode and things checked ok when that process was completed too.

I've used ASX for a long time, made the jump to ASA over the weekend, but the wind changes are so awful it overstress my airframe. Once it put me in such a spin and had g-effects enabled I had a red out. I've enabled smoothing and even made some changed in my registered copy of FSUIPC. None of this has happened in ASX to me ever. Thoughts?

No problem here, just a screenie of a flight into Chittagong Bangladesh in my Beech Duke. ASA really did an outstanding job with the cloud and haze layers at landing. Thanks guys, and two thumbs up.

I am thinking of purchasing ASA and I have read the FAQs in respect of the product.One FAQ says 'ASA is strictly a comprehensive weather engine and does not include a graphics texture package'.Does this mean that when purchasing ASA I will also need to purchase a graphics package or can I rely on the cloud graphics which I assume to be part of FSX itself?Best wishes, John M

Does the Snapshot feature work with a network setup? I have REX and FSX on one computer, and I run just about all my other add-on software on a laptop, including ASA.

This problem has just started with no additional addons installed recently. The message I get is:CLR error 80004005. At first FS9 CTD, the last tiome it did it I could not close ASV6 without going through CTRL ALT Delete which would close the program. Today was another story, there were no CTD but I would get the error box everytime ASV was updating the weather. I was given the option to close the box and the flight would continue. Why it has just startedafter a year on the new PC is beyond me. Any help is appreciated.skyhog

On the last several flights I've done, I have noticed that the OAT has always been off by a significant amount. Like right now I am at 8000 feet over northern oregon and my aircraft indicates the OAT is 67 degrees Fahrenheit. There is no way that it is that warm at 8000 feet in Oregon in the Winter. The ASX interface confirms this error and says it should be around 40-45 F. What is causing such a huge difference? Every flight it is off by at least 10-20 degrees Fahrenheit.This has been happening everywhere, not just in Oregon. I don't have a problem, just a curiosity question. I am a GA pilot who only flies to Europe once or twice a year. On the occasions I have been flying in Europe I have always found the skies, in general, to be cloudier than in the U.S. I seem to recall reading about real world aviation and that this was not unusual for Europe. Why?

Hey folks -I've got Real Environment X (Fs9), ASA, and Flight Sim 9.If I load up ASA, then start FS9, and fly, every ten seconds during the flight, theres about 1-2 seconds of microstuttering. Its very distracting. As soon as I shut down ASA, the stuttering is gone.What settings can I look at that might be causing this?Thanks,LS

Hello everyone, as the topic title says I'd like to know if it whould be a good idea to install xgrphics textures in every flightplan, wiht FS global,UTX abd GEX already installed.It will overwrite the other add-on textures? What would you suggest?

I had a major crash on my computer recently where Vista 64 refused to load, so I used this opportunity to upgrade to Windows 7 Pro, as lots of people have said Win 7 is much better than Vista especially for FSX. I reformatted the drive and installed Windows 7 without any problems, then proceded to install FSX, SP1 and SP2 (I don't have Acceleration), running FSX using default aircraft and rebooting between each installation - Everything now works like a dream.However, I have ASA installed on a Laptop with Windows XP and connected via a home network. Hi,I have the following problem with weather at dep and arr airports. No matter what I do, it changes after leaving 10mi radius from the airport. While on departure I am not bothered that much as I am busy conrolling the climb out, it somehow irritates me on arrival. I have force arr weather ticked, however it does not work as it should. I do get correct weather as soon as I fly into 10mi radius from destination airport. I have tested it. I had a missed approach and went out to published holding, which took me in and out 10mi radius. Everytime I have entered it, the weather changed in and out.What am I doing wrong?Help is much appreciated.
