The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

WestJet is an airline that has stayed fresh with me from the very beginning of my association in this hobby... (reminiscing a bit...) ...i.e., since before the time when I had picked up a copy of the FS9. Now, a few "experienced" folks...🙂...around here...might easily recall... (those days of the state-of-the-art "CDs" of FS9, with "No floppy disks involved!"...🙂...). I looked today, for fun, "When was FS9 released?", and the answer popped out in a second, "July 29, 2003". Sounds right...so, 2 full decades have now passed since and much has been learned especially if you're a non-pilot (virtual) aviator like me...And, amazingly, there are still (nice) FS9 Screenshots (occ…

Don't use it as much as I should, but I really like the default VL3 (as well as the Got Friends zoomed up version), so here we are at the Asobo HUEN, which turns out to be a rather splendidly modelled airport in a wonderful setting. Like I suspect a lot of folk, I tend to think of Entebbe as a grim and grey place, but I guess that's just the Idi Amin associations. Anyway, this was a very pleasant surprise (love this repaint too, but it does mash up its own reg and the user supplied one)

Super Viking that is... Flying the LHC Super Viking in the back county of Idaho. As a Super Viking owner in real life I love that Lionheart made this plane for the sim. Flies great! Bill even got the gear retraction and extension sequence done correctly as the Viking will only retract one wheel at a time. He was also kind enough to make a paint to match my plane in real life, Mine is a 1977 and still sports the original colors of that era.

This region of the America has to be some of the most scenic for flying low-and-slow and two of the airports KORS (Orcas Island) and KHQM (Bowerman) are two of my favourites from the FSX days. Here is one of my favourite flights done inside X-Plane in a Cessna 172 and it's still as scenic as I remember :)

Just messing around in the -600. Nice looker, not affected by the various issues others have mentioned, mostly I guess because I don't really "fly" the thing. Does feel a bit slow to move around, but that may well be the reality of the aircraft, no idea. More cumbersome feeling-wise than a lot of the other big birds I have here though. Couple of generic shots to start with Can't remember where this was but an unusually clean landing for me Out from KSFO Same flight as above but changed clock to catch the sunset Set the clock back again and got her trimmed, then left her to run for a bit in the general direction NNE at about 10,000 ft. D…

Paderborn and Lippstadt are both nearby (small) cities in western Germany. The Paderborn Lippstadt Airport (EDLP), though named so, is actually located 12 miles from the cities Paderborn and Lippstadt. I vaguely recall a PMDG 737 Tutorial, in my (early) FSX days, having featured this airport. Anyway, I noticed this (nice) Airport as a Free offer in the Marketplace, so, picked it up today. Additionally, for fun, I also acquired a pack of A320neo liveries in the Cartoon theme (partly inspired by an Alaska Airlines 737, recently seen, here, in the Disneyland colors). So, please find my A320neo in the colors of “Mickey's Toontown Express” lifting off Runway 06 of EDLP, a…

Luckily we don’t have to live in the 1930s in Berlin, but it is nice to fly around in this era, when the surroundings have been adjusted accordingly, meaning no high-rises or tall TV towers, when there weren’t any in the 1930s Thanks for viewing. I wish all of my friends here on Avsim a Merry Christmas and a hopefully peaceful and prosperous New Year.

I've been meaning to do this flight since I got MSFS....so, this is my flight on the last day of 2023...🙂...Queenstown (NZQN) Airport is well-known to have one of the most challenging approaches, whether one approaches its Rwy 05 or Rwy 23. This is because the Airport is surrounded by spectacular (but dangerous) mountain ranges. The airport is located just across from the beautiful Lake Wakatipu. There are two mountain ranges nearby, one of which is called, quite deservedly, "The Remarkables", on the southeastern shore of the Lake. The surrounding terrain is such that a typical landing is not feasible (so, we, virtual aviators, must forget just clicking the LOC and A…
