Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Airports with short runways, being currently in use by major airlines, exist even today in many congested city locales, because they cannot be extended or enhanced, usually due to the surrounding urban limitations. I will say a bit about "(SBSP) São Paulo–Congonhas" Airport (Note: São Paulo has 2 airports: "Domestic-focused" Congonhas, which is used for my post here, and the other "International-focused" (SBGR) São Paulo/Guarulhos Airport), but first, some bits, about another classic short runway airport (and an extremely busy one) in my hometown, the Midway Airport (KMDW) of Chicago, the well-known Hub of Southwest Airlines. Midway predates O'Hare by 17 years (1927…

Latin America has been always a fascinating conglomerate of interesting airlines, in perpetual competition with one another for survival and marker share, thereby creating an extremely rich aviation history. We must keep in mind that KLM may be the oldest operating airline in the world, but its founding was ahead by only less than 2 months of one in Latin America, the Avianca of Columbia (Dec. 5, 1919, vs. Oct. 7, 1919). Avianca, Varig, and LAN, all well-known to us, are among the earliest airlines in Latin America. Chilean LAN acquired Brazilian TAM and became LATAM, while Varig, the stalwart Brazilian flag carrier of yesteryears, after first breaking up into "Old Varig"…

Took off from Trondheim and journeyed to Tromsø, where I apparently touched down with such smoothness that I was unaware I was on the ground and promptly went off the end of the runway, as I made zero attempt to stop. At least it was pretty along the way.

Looking back through my screenies for something, and thought I'd check out the very first few I grabbed. Nothing artistically or aesthetically wonderful, but of course, what else did anyone do on their first flight with MSFS apart from go looking for their own house? I found mine (sort of)!

When I was tidying up my spreadsheet recently and updating all the MS hand done airports, I noticed NTTB was one of the ones I hadn't added to my list before. And coincidentally, I spotted cli4d's Bora Bora improvement project addon on sale on my next visit to Orbx, so off I went. I have to say this was possibly one of the very best explorations I've ever had in any sim. I generally don't hang around islands much. I certainly never travel to them or from them as there's really nothing quite as boring as open ocean as far as I'm concerned. But I spent about an hour just doing a couple of circuits in the Ka-10 (Touching Cloud) and recording the flight, and so far I've …

Here’re development screenshots of my next (very small) freeware scenery: Ocotillo Wells (L90). I guess that with this one released I will have finished the whole coverage of General Aviation airports of San Diego (with exception of 2 commercial products) With Ocotillo, I’m not busy with hangars and buildings. There’s none 🙂 And the two runways lied on a dry lake and the surface is soft or sandy depending of the condition. Hard to identify the runway from the ground. This scenery will be release as a freeware and will be part of the San Diego GA collection: https://flightsim.to/collection/35/san-diego-general-aviation-airports

OK...🙂...first of all, this post is inspired by a recent member post, here, of a coastal trip, across the Martian-looking terrains, in southern Morocco, from Agadir further south to Dakhla. But there are a few other motivations for me too to explore Morocco, in "MSFS", something quite inconceivable, in my previous SIM versions. I'd recently (virtually) visited Tunisia via a Post here, and explored bits of the Atlas Mountains, while flying westward till the border of Algeria. Morocco comes further west, past Algeria. The highest of the Atlas Mountains occur in northern Morocco, my points of interest in this post... Now, about that James Bond part...being a fan of the …

ot Bad for £15.99 Pounds Sterling...These Caribbean airports by SLHsimdesigns include TFFR, TJCP, TXKF, TKPK, TQPF, TGPY & TUPJ and are shown in this pictorial. I guess this is a "Me Too" pictorial since some big name flight simmers have already posted on this subject. Hopefully, you enjoyed these images, your commentary is greatly appreciated...Darryl

In my last post we went north from the fjordland of NZ´s south island: Today we continue our trip, passing Haast... ... and the Haast River bridge, which presented 2 surprises for us (not shown here): It is a single lane bridge for about a kilometer. And there were myriads of pesky Sandflies waiting for the crazy guy who took a photo. Following the Haast Pass road we encounter the Blue Pools, ... ... then Lake Hawea... ... and Lake Wanaka. And by plane it is a relatively short hop from there over the Southern Alps... ... to NZMC Mount Cook. Time for another hike...

While waiting for the Super Bowl...🙂...I felt I should take out the DA-62 for a spin, and do a quick loop, around Jackson Hole (KJAC) Airport, which I've been meaning to visit in MSFS since a long time ago... Here are 15 pictures of it. I take off southward from Rwy 19, make an immediate (LHS) U-Turn, head north along Rwy 01 direction till the FAF of ILS Rwy 19, make another (LHS) U-turn over those lakes, just alongside the Teton Range Mountains, and then finally land on Rwy 19. Thanks for viewing...!

[First of all, how do I quickly remove this Alien-themed "Dune Expansion" from my opening (MSFS) Screen, before my teenager catches sight of it, usurps my Xbox to play it, and interrupts the dead-serious flying of this aviator...🙂...? Oh well...I can live with it...I think...] Recently arrived in Deauville-Normandy Airport (see my previous post), having (personally) piloted the Air France HOP (ATR)....and after a good night's rest and a nice breakfast of croissant, pastry, and coffee.... 🙂...I next wished to take a closer look at this Airport itself and then enjoy some aerial views of this beautiful seaside resort and the famous Normandy coastline, washed by the wate…

One of the things I used to enjoy, in my previous SIMs, was the steady stream of the small-town airports that Orbx would churn out for our enjoyment, similar to the creations of a talented (freeware) developer here...🙂... (having had the opportunity to at least transit through most of the major (aka: big) airports of the world...). The small airports clearly have their own charm...in RW and in our virtual world. So, a while ago, I'd picked up, in MSFS, a few such small airport add-ons, one of which was the Deauville-Normandie (LFRG) Airport, in the town of Deauville (France). Deauville, on the English Channel, located less than a couple of hours of drive from Paris, is we…

On our final day in Milford we did the obvious cruise - early in the morning to avoid the crowds. The cruise includes a visit in the Underwater Observatory, which is even included in the NZMF scenery pack. Anyway, this sign is a real life shot from inside the building. Deviating from our real trip I took a plane to explore the region. First to Martin´s Bay... ... then "hiking" via Hidden falls Hut... ... to Alabaster Hut... ... and finally with a plane to Gorge River airstrip at the Tasman Sea coast.

Hi pilots Did one of my most memorable flights yesterday. My moroccan wife just told me "you should try to fly south of Agadir to Laayoune, you should see some spectacular landscapes". I decided to push on to Dakhla thanks to the remarkable freeware. As I don't have much time to fly, it was also my test flight for the updated ATR, nvidia color filters and DynamicLod. The landscapes between canyons, cliffs and craters made me feel like Matt Damon in The Martian. Unfortunately for my wife I am still not Matt Damon, but I sure was a happy pilot when I landed in Dakhla.
