The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum

Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here.  Please follow image posting rules (below).  Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).

Screenshot Image Posting Rules

  • Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own.  See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
  • Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
  • Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
  • No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.

Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
  • Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.
  1. The Pacific Northwest (PNW) region in North America (see Ryan's post and pictures), on its easternmost edge, extends all the way to the state of Montana. A special part of this is the Bitterroot Range of Mountains on the western side of Montana. The Bitterroots played a critical role in the (classic) westward voyage of discovery and expedition by Lewis and Clark, this segment considered the most difficult and challenging of the entire expedition, the final major hurdle, so to speak: Temperatures dropped below freezing, the trail was steep and rocky, the party was starved and fatigued, and the food supplies were low.... etc. But the Expedition made it across these formidab…

  3. Started by rmeier,

I thought I would start a new project with the recent release of the Fenix A320 Block 2. Just out of curiosity, I started to research the very first A320 delivered to Air Canada. Serial # 59 was initially intended/built for Ansett. That initial order was cancelled and thus created Fin 201 (C-FDQQ) for Air Canada delivered on January 19, 1990. This aircraft served ACA for 30 years with its final commercial flight (YYZ-YUL) on March 31, 2020. (I'm wondering if this may have been a premature retirement with the reduced pandemic passenger demand?) Sadly, one week later the aircraft was ferried to Pinal Airpark and scrapped the following year. I always loved the olde…

  6. Hi all, in this set I started at KSAN in the Bell 412 and than came to KPSP from the south. And the original plan was to climb up to L35. But I was too lazy to do it in the heli because i have to fly it all by hand. So I jumped into a Cessna and did a short round up there. Coming from the desert south of Palm Springs, Salton Sea in the background. Bermuda Dunes KUDD which is modelled here. A comfortable island in the desert or so what they have here... One older version of the airport which is also available for msfs if I am right. Wonderful scenery here at Big Bear airport and city. Must be grea…

  11. Yesterday, after procuring some (wild caught) Alaskan Salmon from the local grocery store, I learned how to season it and "air fry" it (of course, someone taught me...since I consider myself superior at consuming than cooking...🙂...) ...Anyway, judged by the taste, I think, I cooked it to perfection, all in less than 10 mins time...though, I forgot to follow the instruction of pre-heating the Air Fryer for the customary 3 minutes...Oh well...next time... And, coincidentally, today, while looking through all my 787-10 repaints purchased a long while ago from the Marketplace, I found one (curious) Alaska Airlines "Xáat Kwáani" (meaning "Salmon People") livery lurking i…

Buy this! It's fabulous. And I'm sure it's capable of all sorts of wonderful things but it also let me jump straight in hot, not even a glance at the documentation, all my key bindings worked as expected and it is a doddle to fly. And sounds great (to me anyway - got that real "whomp, whomp, whomp" thing going on). Plus, the map on the EFB / pad thingy makes it fantastically easy to land where you want it to (not something I manage too often in a helo). Highly recommended. A few quick grabs around EGNT, for no particular reason See, I even missed the power lines! Great fun.

Hi all. this is a nice 2 hours flight in a jet. Of course not the standard route for this aircraft type, but that's why we fly in the sim...🙂 At KPDX 28L and all systems seem to work which must be all checked in this plane of course. Otherwise there could be a very nasty surprise. Downtown Portland on the ground. Eugene Oregon and the airport called Mahlon Sweet Field in the background. Roseburg Oregon. Rogue Valley. Mount Shasta, you will always find it in that area... Lake/reservoir Shasta And the dam down there. Redding California. KRDD in the background. Northern California…

Hi all, here I started at LGKR Ioannis Kapodistrias on Korfu where I have the FT scenery. Made no shots there but it can be seen in my other post featuring the Gulfstream IV. Than overflying Albania with it's beautiful mountains and Tirana and Podgorica, Montenegro. A few more shots at the southcoast of Croatia and I had to stop because of the 20 shots and I wanted to land at LIPV. Could have made 50 shots on that trip. The plane is the nice Airfoillabs KA350 which is a studylevel aircraft where everything is modeled. This is how you can practice with King Air. Scenery was done using Ortho4XP in ZL16 which is agreed to be a good compromise betwe…

Hi all, so this is # 2 of my "Nostalgia" series, to be continued...🙂 Here you can see the old FT Grenadines scenery which never made it to 64-bit. Runs from FSX to P3dv3.4. The helicopter is the Cerasim Bell 212 for FSX which is still in sale on their website and for a nice price. The downloadable version works up to P3dv4. And than on the last shots you can see Ant's drifter which is a top notch glider. The Grenadines can be easily reached via St. Vincent, I usually go to TVSV E.T.Joshua runway 25 and fly direction Bequia. The little islands are Bequia, Mustique, Canouan, Union Island and Lauriston. And it's only a short hop from Lau…

  19. The unforgettable memories of Bora Bora Islands do not fade that easily (please see my previous post...). However, the fact that I had magically transported my Cessna 172 into the island, rather than being a bit closer to reality by arriving there in the style of Rich and Famous in one of the luxury jet transports...🙂...that normally frequent that airport (see below), I've set up a complete trip, here, originating from one of the other (and bigger) islands, Hawaii. So, I depart from Honolulu (PHNL), in the North Pacific Ocean, to the tiny island of Bora Bora and its airport (NTTB) in the South Pacific Ocean, across a distance of about 2,600 miles, over the (seemingly endl…

  20. Bora Bora is an island group in the South Pacific Ocean, of area only 12 sq miles, along with an airport and a runway of ~5,000 ft length. The island, I found to be one of the most serene, isolated, and exotic spots, in all my virtual flight experience. This small island in the middle of the vast South Pacific Ocean, is surrounded by the pristinely inviting and turquoise-colored (or is it "azure"..."Azure" is light blue while "Turquois" is blue with a touch of green...) ...waters of a lagoon and barrier reef and that's pretty much it. However, in the center of the mainland exist the remnants of an extinct (and lonely looking) volcano, rising (rather mysteriously) to nearl…
