Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

Good Morning Surfers and/or Pilots, here's the Orange County CA surf report for Sunday November 14! Today's report is courtesy of Marine Aircraft Group 39, MAG-39, at Camp Pendleton's Munn Field KNFG. Living up to their motto of "Professional Excellence", they were kind enough to let us use this Robinson R44 they say one of their pilots won in a Poker game from some French dude. Sounds cool, so let's head out over the water and check out the conditions! We're still seeing pretty fair conditions through the weekend with late afternoon temps forecast at 72, clear skies and a mild offshore breeze of 5 knots from the East to NorthEast. The primary swell …

One thing about MSFS is that it's now certainly possible (and worthwhile) exploring any part of the world...without payware add-ons, and if there is especially an incremental (but still free) Update for that region, one can be fairly sure of a reasonably realistic and rewarding experience. I recalled today that I'd installed, a while ago, the Update for the "Central Eastern Europe", a region, I do not recall ever having ventured into, before, nor would have conceived the idea of such a venture in my past SIMs. One of the countries in this region is Croatia. Today, I wished to find out more about what I'd always read...about the beautiful coastlines of Croatia. My flight c…

Shalom and greetings all my pals, A local Caribbean airline called LIAT has closed its doors after about 60 years of operations and just finished the last flight few days ago. In honor of memory of LIAT airline, I am presenting one of historic routes of LIAT airline that was flown in yer 1973-1974 when LIAT had four BAC 1-11 jets. Here is a fun tropical flight from TBPB Grantley Adams International Airport located in Seawell, Christ Church about 8.0 miles from the centre of Barbados' capital city Bridgetown to TJSJ Luis Muñoz Marín International Airport located in Carolina, Puerto Rico three miles southeast of San Juan. Passengers boarding the plane Nice …

I’ve done this trip IRL twice with my wife many years ago, four times to be precise, but twice we had to turn back due to bad weather over Gilgit. The first part is easy, you just fly along Faisal Avenue and you’ll find yourself automatically over the Faisal Mosque, one of the largest in the world. In the real world you are of course not allowed to do this. The second part is more difficult, but fascinating. Now comes the tricky part To land in Gilgit, you fly along a ridge, make a sharp left turn at the end and if you have done everything right, you …

Hi simmers 😃 I loved to fly the A300-600 but when I discovered that the "Falling out of the Sky" bug made the plane no longer flyable, the plane had to be taken out of service for repairs and time. ( Hoping for a fast Update from inibuilds ) So i switched back to the 787-9 and here are a few shots from my last flight - Flightplan : Kansai International Airport (RJBB) to Changsha Huanghua Internationa (ZGHA) RW18L - Flighttime 4h. Awaiting TOGO from the Tower.. If yo…

Yesterday, I was a bit surprised to see, in the kitchen, a bottle of (USDA - Organic) olive oil...labelled to be "Product of Tunisia"...must be a new brand being trialed in the home front...🙂...I thought...I am used to seeing olive oils with labels such as "Product of Italy" or "Product of Spain" or "Product of Greece"...etc., but Tunisia caught me by bit of a surprise, while this olive oil, seemed excellent indeed...delightfully bold and uniquely flavorful...as any other known brands... (OK, I will be shortly getting here to "Tunisair" in just a bit...🙂...) ... A bit of on-line search quickly dispelled my ignorance. Tunisia, sometimes referred to as a land of olives…

Just a few angles of the new airports... which are quite high quality. Gaya did a nice job! Once we have our water masks back in the north Caribbean, this whole area will be a joy to fly around. Plenty of long runways (and short!) for all aircraft types. After a reference, here, recently, to the city of Guayaquil, I thought of exploring, today, the Northern Andes some more. This is in spite of my first impressions of the MSFS rendition of these regions, at this moment, falling short of expectations...I'm sure it would improve with subsequent scenery updates. Nonetheless, the (whole) Andes regions remain an amazing and very unique part of the world to explore. One can read and look at pictures, about them, but, flying over them, albeit virtually (brings out the remarkably different perceptions of this region...) ... The Andes Range, after being fairly collocated, for nearly, 5,000 miles of its span along the coast, fa…

Amelia Earhart's mysterious disappearance, during her epic voyage across the Pacific, abounds with theories and conjectures, that are better left to the realm of aviation analysts and theorists...What has always fascinated me in this story is how incredibly small was this Howland Island. It is the elusive tiny tract of land (see image below) in the vast Pacific Ocean to which she (with her Navigator Noonan) was headed, on July 2, 1937, for an interim stop (for refueling). They were enroute between Lae, New Guinea, (see my shot #1) and Howland Island, on one of their final legs of the flight. I just wished to find out for myself, in the MSFS SIM, how this mystical bi…

Flying some of the old postal routes featured in the .to freeware, "Arrows Across America". Heading South East out of Kennewick to Waypoint SL-P-50, I was surprised to come across a very extensive wind farm, with the Postal beacon & arrow buried therein. If you squint you can just make out the beacon light in the haze if you follow the hubs of the right hand line of wind turbines, & intersect in the distance, above the RHS top wing T45

Shalom and greetings all my pals, Presenting pre-Christmas flight from ENFB Fornebu Oslo Airport which was the primary international airport serving Oslo 1939 to 1998 locating at Fornebu 5.0 miles from the city center of Oslo to ENTC Tromsø Airport situated on the western shore of the island of Tromsøya and located at Langnes in the city of Tromsø in Tromsø Municipality, Norway The flight was supposed to be served by 737-500 but because too many people working in Oslo are going home to their families in Tromso for Christmas forcing the airline to switch from 735 to brand new 767-200 to handle volume traffic of holiday travellers. Gate number 38 finished dis…

Since, I flew recently, here, the Cargolux 747-8 Freighter, via a post, I have been thinking about Atlas Air. Just as Cargolux was the first carrier (was also the launch customer) to take delivery of the first 748 back in 2011, 12 years later, Atlas Air was the last carrier to take delivery of the last 748 last year in 2023, and btw, which also meant that the final curtain of the (entire) legendary 747 line, spanning more than half-century (1970-2023), came down with that delivery of Atlas Air 747-8F (Reg. No. N863GT, Line No. 1574)..."1574" implying that a total of 1574 747s of all types were built, from the 747-100 prototype (Line Number 001), through government and mil…

Today, I wished to explore a bit the Ecuadorian Andes mountains, by a flight which almost felt like threading a needle, because of having to navigate through the close proximity of endless series of volcanic mountains, that literally littered my planned route from Cuenca airport (SECU) all the way to the airport (SEQM) in the capital city of Quito. SECU and SEQM, with elevations of 8,300 ft and 7,900 ft respectively, are high altitude airports, though not as high as the world's highest elevation (13,325 ft) international airport at La Paz, in Bolivia. Regarding Quito, it's to be noted that the original (aka: old) Quito airport (SEQU) was closed in 2016 and is now co…
