The AVSIM Screen Shots Forum
Have a favorite screen shot of your simulator that you would like to share? You can by posting it here. Please follow image posting rules (below). Images must be hosted on an image hosting website. Please use prefixes to identify the simulator you are using (see pinned topic for guidance). Please include information about the screenshot(s) such as location (flight plan?), the aircraft, weather engine, scenery (i.e., Orbx/FTX, GEX, FSDT, FlightBeam, FlyTampa, etc.).
Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/
- Images can be of any size; however, be considerate of your fellow AVSIM members as large photos will take longer to load for some members who do not have fast Internet connections.
- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.
- Images copyrighted on other websites such as Airliners.net are not allowed and will be removed immediately.

The D18S has been in the back of the hangar for a long time, such has been the volume of new aircraft coming along. However, the art deco paint work looks great & I decided to take it out & check the avionics, to refresh my memory. Flown in NZ, from Rotorua to Whangerei, & the shot is from the Kaimai Range area, West of Tauranga. T45

In my previous post, I'd posted about a short flight...travelling (virtually) 40 miles in a foreign land..., never actually been there in RW. Here, it's slightly different. This set of images, below, geographically spanning about 10 miles, reflect my memories of a RW trip from a long while ago. The West Coast, in spite of my several visits, primarily to the major metropolitan (big) cities, almost seems like a foreign land to me...🙂...being not really familiar with it, as I may be with Midwest and East Coast. Anyway, Fisherman's Wharf, one of the main (tourist) attractions in San Francisco, lies 15 miles north of San Franciso airport (KSFO). With Fisherman's Wharf as …

This is Tim Conrad’s FS9/FSX T-33 that I ported to MSFS. The panel I got from the P3D Milviz F-86, which is freely available as MSFS conversion on Flightsim.to. The plane is great fun to fly. Thanks for viewing

I fly with the Bücker Jungmann from Freiburg in the southern part of the Black Forest to Baden-Söllingen, the former Canadian AFB, where a good friend of mine was once stationed and flew the F104 Starfighter I pass by the Freiburg Cathedral. My Bücker Jungmann is difficult to spot Above the Titisee lake Shortly thereafter the Schluchsee lake comes into sight Above the Feldberg mountain Another popular spot is the Fremersberg hill The eastern part of the city of Baden-Baden is below my plane By now it’…

The saying goes, "There's a first time for everything". Here, I mean in the SIM...e.g., surely, we recall well the first time we'd pushed the Throttles of the PMDG Base (600/700) NG for FS9, with unprecedented anticipation and excitement...🙂...back in 2003, more than 2 decades ago, heralding the age of high-fidelity 737 simulation on the desktop. And soon, there will be another first...the coveted long-hauler 777 in the world of MSFS...🙂...yes, that will be a first no matter how many times you've flown it before in the virtual world, or how many times you've crossed the Oceans in the Real World 777... Likewise, in the previous SIMs, I do not recall any flying in the …

[First of all, I'd always thought that being on the Xbox, on a close (and quarantined) system, I could not self-inflict any pains on myself...🙂...even if inadvertently...plus my limited inventory of aircraft and scenery (i.e., no freeware) has (generally) kept me out of trouble too. However, today was different...the (blue) progress bar, at the bottom of my screen, was stuck for ever and simply didn't budge, its leading edge stopped, aligned with the tail-tip of the Cessna Longitude (above the progress bar) proudly flying high, on the Splash Screen...🙂...that's how I could tell, the bar was not advancing...! Only repeated attempts of not-so-graceful procedures such as (Si…

Hi all, have a new freeware masterpiece here, it's really amazing....🙂 All systems follow the FlyByWire system of their A320neo, so it all seems to work as usual. Did a little flight over to Seattle and it's all fine. I don't know the Fenix so far, this will be a future project for me just to compare, but I can imagine systems will be almost identical. Just Airbus. A lot of great liveries are available but sometimes installing it I get the message "filename to long" for the texture and than I have to rework the entire layout file to load it, strange. …

Hi all, as I said before here is part 2 to discover the 3 islands a bit. It's a very nice overhaul for Saba as well and the little minicopter is really good, it also came with an update once. So and than I 'll be back to the planes a bit. These are the ones that always fall down when they go too slow...🙂🙃 Thank you very much for viewing! Cheers Andreas

A long while ago, I had a colleague (and officemate) who, around each end of year, would invariably make his holiday trip from Chicago to Algiers, visiting his family. The reason I recall this well because I would sometimes give him a ride to O'Hare, directly from work, at the end of workday, which was convenient for him (and I didn't mind a visit to the big airport...the aviation fan that I am/was...🙂...). Anyway, my (driving) conversation with him would go somewhat as follows: Me: "So, is it a direct flight from Chicago to Algiers or with a stop in Europe?" He: "From here, I always go to Paris (Orly) first in a "big" plane, and then I go to Algiers in a "small" p…

It's well-known that the Airlines are tough business to survive. Fierce competition, high and volatile cost of (and critical dependency on) fossil fuel, and other capital-intensive investments in aircraft, maintenance, and infrastructure etc. make it one of the most challenging sectors of the economy. This is especially true if the airline is a new entrant into the market. On top of all these, the COVID Pandemic years put significant stress on the airline industry, by reduction of domestic and international travel demand. Seasoned and established airlines coped with the Covid challenges by converting e.g., their business model from pax-based to cargo-based operations (fre…

This particular aircraft left the Toulouse Assembly facility as Serial # 159 and was delivered to Air Canada on April 3, 1991 (originally delivered in the Air Canada Classic Red Stripes livery...see my earlier post). The aircraft repaint depicted here is actually the third livery adorned by C-FFWN/Fin 212 (with the 2nd livery being the traditional white bodied, black tail with red maple leaf...the one before the current "bandit" livery!). 🙂 This "Canadian Flag" paint scheme was a one-off design, painted only on this aircraft, to celebrate the 65th Anniversary of Air Canada in 2002. This unique paint scheme was entitled "Symphony of Voices". Not only did t…
