Screenshot Image Posting Rules
- Images must be hosted on your own image server site, such as Drop Box, Google Drive, Photobucket.com, OZx Image Hosting, or a website that you own. See guidance at following link - http://www.avsim.com/topic/479802-how-do-i-post-a-screenshot/

- Images will automatically be resized to fit the viewer's screen width. This process is done automatically by the AVSIM website program.
- No more than 20 images per thread (topic). Moderators will remove any image that exceed this requirement.
- AVSIM members are reminded of the AVSIM Terms of Service in respect to images, and copyrighted and intellectual property. Images that violate our policies regarding copyrights and family safe environment will be removed and, depending on the severity of violation, user suspended or banned from AVSIM.

A while ago, while updating my SIM for the World Update with Italy, I had noticed, in the description, an honorable mention of "Malta" (island) scenery been also offered some attention in the same Update. And, lately, I've been roaming over all these (pretty) islands (actually more correctly "archipelagos" which are geographically quite appealing too). The Isles of Scilly certainly comes to mind, consisting of 5 or 6 main islands and numerous (around 140) mostly nameless (unhabitable) rocky outlets...which all together give a distinctive charm to that place, located at the southernmost corner of the greater archipelago that is UK and Great Britain....🙂...Anyway, I was rem…

So, I've been enthusing about the C-130 recently, and I thought I'd take it for a trip to the Scillies to see how it fitted in there, but following some other posts about the C-130 and it's inability to open it's ramp in flight compared to the Transall, I found myself wondering if the C-17 could fly with its ramp down (it can), one thing led to another and I found myself doing a trip from Exeter EGTE down to St Mary's EGHE in the C-17 instead of the C-130. This is all what feels like "my" territory, being Torquay based, and I do know quite a lot of it quite well in real life. And it is all well served in MSFS, especially with all my little extras added on. This set i…

In Iran SAAF out of Cairo This one didn't quite work I like this outfit Once the update is out with the paintkit, we'll probably see a huge number of nice outfits for this plane, and they won't need the fr*gging around necessary to make this work.

An upgrade to allow repaints and in-flight open doors is due, but in the meantime it is possible to apply new skins (see flightsim.to liveries for info). Bit of a PITA but works ok. Here, a short hop from MIami down to the base at Key West before heading out to look for weather. Got some on the way though! Coming up over Marathon probably my favourite shot here Coming in to KNQX And done!

OK, I've been hanging around Southwest England a lot lately as a (non-local) awestruck tourist...for several days...discovering the beauty of mountain-less land...🙂...and prodding a few others here (local and non-local) to do the same....🙂...I've visited Channel Islands, Isles of Scilly, Cornwall Coast and Newquay Airport...etc... So, before, I finally head back across the 7 Seas to Illinois, USA, I thought I would pay a visit to Lizard Point (also in Cornwall, and often called just "Lizard" by the natives...🙂...), which is the most southerly point of mainland Great Britain, of course, losing the absolute (southernmost) title by a whisker (only by 4 miles of Celtic Sea) t…

Last few to round things off. Still at YSSY initially as the evening settles in and the lights come on By this point, as it was looking good in the dark, I took a quick tool round the previous parts of the trip to grab a few night shots, so back to the seaplane base, and there was this rather nicely lit motor cruiser in the bay there. Looks like the party is still going on I guess still a warm night, most people are outside Back to the bridge At least you can't see the awful PG at night And one final shot before we go And once again, I'm amazed by how good this sim can look. As ever, all these are …

Today I dived again back into the 1930s. The Zeppelin is just great fun and after watching a couple of YT videos at my leisure, I can now handle it to some extent. Of course, the King Air doesn't fit in there at all 🙂 Above the Bieler lake Above the Neuchâtel lake Place of the navigator Liquid sustenance keeps the spirit up on these long journeys We got maps of all parts of the world Lake Constance, we have reached the Mainau island Friedrichshafen gradually comes into …

Hi all, recently I installed the EDDF addon from Aviotek in the spring sale and it indeed upgrades the stock scenery. Can be installed in XP12 as well but currently I'm not focused on XP12, will do that later. On the airport it's really a lot of apron and other pavement, it's large. Framerates are a bit down but I have max settings for all the ground vehicles and so, have to look at that. The little Robin is the great Aerobask DR401, another freeware addon in payware quality. …

I have been always fond of the colorful Air Jamaica livery and found this A310 repaint lurking in my hangar. So, I felt like lifting it up today, one more time, for its own old times' sake, into the blue skies, above the blue waters of the Caribbean Sea, that it was once so familiar with. I've lifted off Rwy 25 of MKJS (Sangster International Airport; one time Hub of Air Jamaica) and have taken a short loop over the city of Montego Bay, skirting the northern coastlines of Jamaica island. I've finally landed back on Rwy 07. Jamaica's culture was historically heavily influenced by Spanish colonization, and you will notice the print "Spirit of Spanish Town" on both LHS …

This is a follow-up to my previous post on the Isles of Scilly. As I'd mentioned there, I was barely able to take off St Mary's Airport (EHGE)...with a bit of daredevilry that is not well-advised for this Douglas behemoth...🙂...I don't have yet that STOL capable, sturdy, nimble, and reliable BN-2 at my disposal, which is really the aircraft that is suitable for commuting in these miniscule islands (true in RW too, btw). Anyway, having thoroughly toured the 5 main islands and immensely enjoying the beauty of this place, it dawned on me that I better find a place to land next... (having ruled out the NDB approach back to St. Mary's short runway due to pilot's lack of confid…

Taking a brief break from the Scilly Isles with a visit to Iran. Noshahr is a Caspian Sea resort in Iran, so just up over the mountains from Tehran. The range of mountains running along this coastline are, I believe, called the Alborz Mountains, and the big peak you see in the mid-distance in some of these pix is Mt Damavand, 18,405 ft. The OINN airport is a rather fine little bit of scenery from "Fun of Flying" and is one of three I picked up on sale at SimMarket. Very nicely done, I thought. I happened to be setting off late afternoon / early evening, so the light changes quite quickly over these shots. In the end, I left it paused for a couple of hours and when I …

Now come on, you knew I'd have to do this. Somebody has to, and I don't mind taking the flak for it, after all I am known as a not-very-serious simmer <grin>. Obviously I tried this just out of curiosity, but to my surprise only a little bit of cheating was necessary. I suspect a whole lot more would be needed to get off the ground again, but then I don't know how deep the water is around here. Maybe at low tide I could just taxi all the way back to the mainland. I just started the flight in the air having selected EGHE as "arrival" from the world map, which has the advantage of at least starting me off lined up correctly for landing. I find if I do that f…

Second set of my tour around MK Studios' KLGA. Just been out to Citi Field, and now heading back across the water to the airport Back to the terminal we left at the end of the first set Manhattan in the distance Back inside the terminal complex now and we'll work our way round to finish at the Tower One of the upper level lounges access to that upper level lounge And although you probably won't see it without a monster screen, in the distance awaits our Herc, and that's where we'll be in the next and final post in this set
